The Justice Department’s war on the truth

The Justice Department’s  war on the truth

The U.S. Department of Justice is becoming a wing of the Muslim Brotherhood.  The Obama administration is bowing to Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups and stopping the use of all training materials for law enforcement and  national security officials that refer to jihad and any and all references to  Islam. Yet Anwar al-Awlaki was a devout imam who preached the Quran. So  let me understand this: Obama executed Awlaki for preaching  jihad. That was all he did. Awlaki did not kill anyone. And yet Obama  orders law enforcement to drop all mention of jihad and the Islamic motivation  of terrorists. What’s the difference?

Why did he kill Awlaki?

The Justice Department held a seminar last week on  “Confronting Discrimination in the Post 9-11 Era.” Among the treacherous  conspirators indoctrinating believers and non-believers was the notorious Jew-hating pollster James Zogby and the ghastly leader of the  Muslim Brotherhood-tied Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Mohammed Magid.

James Lafferty, a board member of my organization, the American Freedom  Defense Initiative (AFDI), was there and reported: “Speaker after speaker  recited anecdote after anecdote which demonstrated that, except for the Justice  Department, law enforcement is conspiring with ‘bigoted’ Americans to suspend  the First Amendment protections of religious expression and free speech.”

The DOJ promised to fight that “bigotry” by changing training materials  designed to help law enforcement officials understand the jihad threat. Dwight  Holton, the U.S. attorney in Oregon, said: “I want to be perfectly clear about  this: Training materials that portray Islam as a religion of violence or with a  tendency toward violence are wrong, they are offensive, and they are contrary to  everything that this president, this attorney general and Department of Justice  stands for. They will not be tolerated.”

The only ones really responsible for the idea that Islam  is “a religion of violence or with a tendency toward violence” are the Muslims  who act violently and justify their violence by quoting the Quran. That isn’t  “bigotry.” It’s the truth.

This comes fresh on the heels of my recent WND column, “Obama’s  Department of Shariah,” describing how the DOJ is actively pursing cases to  gain special privileges for Muslims. In case after case, the Department of  Justice’s pursuit of the Shariah is surpassed only by that of the Supreme  Council of Al-Azhar, the most prestigious institution in Sunni Islam.

How can Obama enforce the blasphemy laws of the Shariah (do not criticize,  offend or speak truthfully about Islam) and order the killing of Imam Awlaki?  Think about that.

Banning study of the religious motivation of Muslim  terrorists has been a cornerstone of this national-security policy  throughout the Obama administration, but Obama orders the executions of those  who are proselytizing for and advancing what they present as pure Islam,  authentic Islam.

What is this policy? Perhaps Obama prefers the stealth  jihad, and the violent jihad only calls attention to  the true nature of Islamic law. Incoherent is a best-case scenario  explanation on this, but I do not believe that. In my book “The  Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration’s War On America,” I give  the details of his pro-Islam leanings from the beginning of his career. And now  as president, on foreign policy, he has aided and abetted the overthrow of  secular governments. Libya, like Tunisia and Egypt, is heading toward becoming  an Islamic state. His anti-Israel policies have led to the increased isolation  of the tiny Jewish state, making it a ripe target for Islamic imperialists and  devout Muslims.

And his Department of Justice is on the offense against America. While doing  research for my book “Stop  the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance,” I  discovered some startling information about the full extent  of Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the Department of Justice and its brazen  pro-Muslim activities, including the creation  of Muslim-majority legislative districts. And when I inquired  for documentation related to these activities, the DOJ’s response to me  indicated that the agency’s ties with Islamic supremacist groups are far more  extensive than anyone has realized. Nelson Hermilla of the DOJ responded,  telling me that my request involved 14,100 documents that I could only get by  paying $1,400.

It is a bombshell that there would be more than 14,000 documents identified  as a result of the FOIA request I made to the Department of Justice. I made a  relatively isolated request on a narrow topic the Civil Rights Division really  doesn’t even have direct jurisdiction over (“Muslim outreach”), and they come up  with over 14,000 documents.

Hermilla complained that “it is not clear in what manner the collection of  all five-year’s records might contribute to the general public understanding.”  That they would challenge the “public interest” aspect of my request is also  astounding. Given the recent coverage of the DOJ’s scuttling  of the prosecution of CAIR officials in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas funding  case, and its advocacy for the Muslim schoolteacher  who demanded a month off to go to Mecca and was given $75,000 in a  settlement, their claim is flimsy.

Hermilla is flouting the law by making me wait for eight months now since my  first request, making a mockery of Obama’s promise to run a transparent  administration and suppressing information that is critical for the American  public to know. They still have not turned over any of these documents.

Concurrently, DOJ whistleblower J. Christian Adams has  revealed that “all 10 new hires to the Justice  Department’s Criminal Section have far-left resumes.” Every hire Holder  is making is one that America will have to live with long after Obama is gone.  They have put in place the legal apparatus to pursue a  treasonous agenda.

The American people should demand that the next president prosecute the  Muslim Brotherhood co-conspirators and pledge to purge their operatives in the  Department of Justice, Department of State and Department of  Defense.

The Muslim Brotherhood is the Enemy

The Muslim Brotherhood is the Enemy

Suddenly, Washington is consumed with a question too long ignored:  Can we safely do business with the Muslim Brotherhood?

The reason this question has taken on such urgency is, of course, because the Muslim Brotherhood (or MB, also known by its Arabic name, the Ikhwan) is poised to emerge as the big winner from the chaos now sweeping North Africa and increasingly likely to bring down the government of the aging Egyptian dictator, Hosni Mubarak.

In the wake of growing turmoil in Egypt, a retinue of pundits, professors and former government officials has publicly insisted that we have nothing to fear from the Ikhwan since it has eschewed violence and embraced democracy.

For example, Bruce Reidel, a controversial former CIA analyst and advisor to President Obama, posted an article entitled “Don’t Fear Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood” at the Daily Beast.  In it, he declared:  “The Egyptian Brotherhood renounced violence years ago, but its relative moderation has made it the target of extreme vilification by more radical Islamists. Al Qaeda’s leaders, Osama bin Laden and Ayman Zawahiri, started their political lives affiliated with the Brotherhood but both have denounced it for decades as too soft and a cat’s paw of Mubarak and America.”

Then, there was President George W. Bush’s former press spokeswoman, Dana Perino, who went so far on January 28th as to tell Fox News “…And don’t be afraid of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. This has nothing to do with religion.”

One reason we might be misperceiving the MB as no threat is because a prime source of information about such matters is the Muslim Brotherhood itself.  As the Center for Security Policy’s new, best-selling Team B II report entitled, Shariah: The Threat to America found:  “It is now public knowledge that nearly every major Muslim organization in the United States is actually controlled by the MB or a derivative organization. Consequently, most of the Muslim-American groups of any prominence in America are now known to be, as a matter of fact, hostile to the United States and its Constitution.”

In fact, for much of the past two decades, a number of these groups and their backers (including, notably, Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal) have cultivated extensive ties with U.S. government officials and agencies under successive administrations of both parties, academic centers, financial institutions, religious communities, partisan organizations and the media.  As a result, such American entities have been subjected to intense, disciplined and sustained influence operations for decades.

Unfortunately, the relationships thus developed and the misperceptions thus fostered are today bearing poisonous fruit with respect to shaping U.S. policy towards the unfolding Egyptian drama.

A notable example is the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).  A federal judge in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial – which successfully prosecuted the nation’s largest terrorism financing conspiracy – found that CAIR was indeed a front for the Ikhwan’s Palestinian affiliate, Hamas.  Nonetheless,  Fox News earlier today interviewed the Executive Director of CAIR’s Chicago office, Ahmed Rehab, whom it characterized as a “Democracy Activist.”

True to form, Rehab called for the removal of Mubarak’s regime and the institution of democratic elections in Egypt.  This is hardly surprising since, under present circumstances, such balloting would likely have the same result it did in Gaza a few years back: the triumph of the Muslim Brotherhood and the institution of brutally repressive theocratic rule, in accordance with the totalitarian Islamic politico-military-legal program known as shariah.

An important antidote to the seductive notions being advanced with respect to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt – and, for that matter, in Western nations like ours – by the Ikhwan’s own operatives, their useful idiots and apologists is the Team B II report.  It should be considered required reading by anyone who hopes to understand, let alone to comment usefully upon, the MB’s real character and agenda.

For example, Shariah: The Threat to America provides several key insights that must be borne in mind in the current circumstances especially:

  • “The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt in 1928. Its express purpose was two-fold: (1) to implement shariah worldwide, and (2) to re-establish the global Islamic State (caliphate).
  • “Therefore, Al Qaeda and the MB have the same objectives. They differ only in the timing and tactics involved in realizing them.
  • “The Brotherhood’s creed is: ‘God is our objective; the Koran is our law; the Prophet is our leader; jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.’”
  • It is evident from the Creed, and from the Brotherhood’s history (and current activities)…that violence is an inherent part of the MB’s tactics. The MB is the root of the majority of Islamic terrorist groups in the world today.
  • The Muslim Brotherhood is the ‘vanguard’ or tip-of-the-spear of the current Islamic Movement in the world. While there are other transnational organizations that share the MB’s goals (if not its tactics) – including al Qaeda, which was born out of the Brotherhood – the Ikhwan is by far the strongest and most organized. The Muslim Brotherhood is now active in over 80 countries around the world.

Of particular concern must be the purpose of the Brotherhood in the United States and other nations of the Free World:

  • “…The Ikhwan’s mission in the West is sedition in the furtherance of shariah’s supremacist agenda, not peaceful assimilation and co-existence with non-Muslim populations.”
  • “The Ikhwan believes that its purposes in the West are, for the moment, better advanced by the use of non-violent, stealthy techniques. In that connection, the Muslim Brotherhood seeks to establish relations with, influence and, wherever possible, penetrate: government circles in executive and legislative branches at the federal, state and local levels; the law enforcement community; intelligence agencies; the military; penal institutions; the media; think tanks and policy groups; academic institutions; non-Muslim religious communities; and other elites.
  • “The Brothers engage in all of these activities and more for one reason: to subvert the targeted communities in furtherance of the MB’s primary objective – the triumph of shariah.”

In short, the Muslim Brotherhood – whether it is operating in Egypt, elsewhere in the world or here – is our enemy.  Vital U.S. interests will be at risk if it succeeds in supplanting the present regime in Cairo, taking control in the process not only of the Arab world’s most populous nation but its vast, American-supplied arsenal.  It is no less reckless to allow the Brotherhood’s operatives to enjoy continued access to and influence over our perceptions of their true purposes, and the policies adopted pursuant thereto.

Save America; Get Outraged

Save America; Get Outraged

April 8th, 2011

Don Feder,

Where’s the outrage?
Given what Barack Obama is doing to the Constitution, the economy and our
future, the American people should be up in arms (metaphorically speaking, civility-hysterics
take note). Citizens should be marching on Washington with pitchforks and
flaming brands in hand (also a metaphor).
Every city should see demonstrations to make the most raucous Tea Party rally
look like Sunday night in Pierre, South Dakota.
Instead, it’s a mental fog as usual. Hey, the unemployment rate is now
(barely) below 9 percent! Wasn’t that a cold winter? Gee, I wonder what zany,
drug-induced thing Charlie
will do next?
So, while America burns, we fiddle with our iPhones and talk about the
upcoming HBO series about vampire bootleggers and Borgias duking it out in
Other than Tea Party activists, the public seems supremely unperturbed by
Obama’s relentless assault on America. The president’s March 21-27 approval
rating was 45 percent. At the same point in their first terms, Clinton’s
approval rating was only three points higher – Reagan’s three points lower. Both
were re-elected, you may recall.
It’s true that since Obama occupied the White House, his
party’s stock
has taken
a nose-dive
– a net
of 9 governorships, 7 Senate seats, and 60 House seats. But there’s no
guarantee that trend will continue.
The leader of the party that whines incessantly about the influence of money
in politics has announced he’ll spend $1 billion to win re-election….

Obama Asks Terrorism Help — from Muslim Brotherhood

March 7th, 2011

Ben Johnson,
As more sober
minds consider ways to keep
the Middle East from falling into the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood
Barack Obama is “fighting terrorism” by reaching out to the leader of one of the
Brotherhood’s American creations. In the process, a White House official
revealed that radical Muslims frequently advise the White House office headed by
the president’s top adviser and alter ego, Valerie Jarrett.
Preemptive Groveling
Flush with instances of American Muslims supporting Islamic jihad,
Rep. Peter King is set to launch his investigation into the radicalization of
U.S. mosques, imams, and the faithful they serve later
this week
. Barack Obama, ever keen to reach out to the Muslim
, decided to get ahead of this by sending a deputy to plead with
the extremists for cooperation. On Sunday, Deputy National Security Advisor
Denis McDonough spoke
to a Sterling, Virginia, mosque
some believe is a model of moderate Islam:
the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS), led by imam Mohamed Magid. Indeed,
McDonough began by thanking Magid by name.
Although the Sudanese-born imam presents himself as an ecumenical,
anti-terrorism leader active in “interfaith” outreach, his current associations
— and those of others at his mosque — present a different picture.
A Dangerous Mosque

This author exposed
ADAMS’s radical connections nearly seven years
. At the time, ADAMS’s
chairman was Ahmad Totonji, an Iraqi-born citizen of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia
who was named as a
in a $1 trillion lawsuit filed by more than 600 relatives of
people who died in the 9/11 attacks. He served as Vice President of the Safa
Group and the International Institute for Islamic Thought (IIIT), which
officials have linked to al-Qaeda,
Islamic Jihad
, and Sami al-Arian.
(Al-Arian served more than five years in prison after pleading guilty to
conspiracy to aid terrorism, and he is currently under house arrest awaiting his
contempt trial, which has been mysteriously
.) ADAMS’s legal counsel, Muhammed Ashraf, was the attorney for
Abdurahman Alamoudi, who is now serving 23 years in prison for laundering
money for Muammar Qaddafi
in a plot to kill a Saudi prince.
Magid was on the premises of ADAMS’s Herndon, Virginia, offices when federal
agents stormed the facility in March 2002. The “Grove Street Addresses” provided
the homes of more than 100 interlocking Muslim organizations that the government
accused of providing material support for terrorism. After the raid, Magid
assembled a “community building” meeting at ADAMS attended by a variety of

Somehow, this record got Magid invited
to speak at Ronald Reagan’s funeral

The Muslim Brotherhood is officially A-OK for the Obama Administration

The Muslim Brotherhood is officially A-OK for the Obama

Richard Baehr

Professor Barry Rubin argues in his latest article
that the Administration’s approach to the new Middle East is becoming clearer,
and that it represents the worst single strategic blunder in American foreign
policy in the Middle East in decades. In essence, the Obama team has decided
that it can live with and work with  Islamist regimes  in the Middle East, so
long as Al Qaeda is not the group in power.

In other words the Muslim Brotherhood is just fine, if it succeeds in
taking power in Egypt and other Arab countries currently in turmoil. Rubin
quotes  the new policy as described in a Washington Post article
and then offers his reaction:
“The administration is already taking steps to distinguish between various
movements in the region that promote Islamic law in government. An internal
assessment, ordered by the White House last month, identified large ideological
differences between such movements as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and
al-Qaeda that will guide the U.S. approach to the region.”

Get it?
Al-Qaeda is bad because it wants to attack U.S. embassies, the World Trade
Center, and the Pentagon.

BUT the Muslim Brotherhood is good! Because it
merely wants to seize state power, transform Egypt into an Islamist state, rule
90 million people, back Hamas in trying to destroy Israel, overthrow the
Palestinian Authority, help Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood overthrow the monarchy,
and sponsor terrorism against Americans in the Middle East.

I’m sure you
can see the difference. This is the nonsense that the administration has been
working toward for two years. It is the doctrine pushed by the president’s
advisor on terrorism, elements in the CIA, and White House ideologues. The State
and Defense departments are probably horrified.

Here’s the next

“`We shouldn’t be afraid of Islam in the politics of these
countries,'” said a senior administration official….`It’s the behavior of
political parties and governments that we will judge them on, not their
relationship with Islam.'”

That first phrase is correct. We shouldn’t be
afraid of Islam in the politics of these countries. Islam has always been
present in Egypt and Jordan, Saudi Arabia or post-Saddam Iraq, and even Iran
before its revolution and Afghanistan not under the Taliban. But we should be
very afraid of Islamism in the politics of these countries. “

.    .    .   .
For weeks, the Administrations’ favorite newspaper, the New York Times has
been paving  the way for the new policy with a series of opinion pieces and news
stories on the new “moderate” face of the Muslim Brotherhood,  their commitment
to non-violence, their discipline and social service role.
The new policy is in some ways consistent with the docile American attitude
towards Iran- where engagement was tried and failed, weak sanctions were applied
with enough loopholes to make them like swiss cheese slices, the anti-regime
demonstrations were ignored and garnered no support, and military action was
never contemplated.  The result- the Administration is now preparing for a
nuclear Iran , and all that is left is finding a way to contain Iran’s
aggressive posture once it becomes a nuclear power.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s Political Pilgrims

The Muslim Brotherhood’s Political Pilgrims

Posted GMT 2-21-2011 17:28:29

The Left’s political pilgrimage vis-à-vis totalitarian monstrosities
continues unabated. With the Islamo-Fascist Muslim Brotherhood now poised to
share governance in Egypt in the post-Mubarak era, progressives worldwide are
salivating with glee. And it’s to be completely expected of course: the Left has
a long and eerie tradition of worshiping at the feet of tyrants and terrorists.
The Muslim Brotherhood is the ideological forebear of Hamas and al-Qaeda. Its
top priorities are to implement Sharia law, annihilate Israel, and purify Egypt
from American and Western infections with human blood. Naturally, the Left has
now found a new target for a political romance.
The usual suspects are leading the progressive charge: the
notorious Obama fundraiser group Code Pink, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL),
A.N.S.W.E.R., and the International Action Center (IAC), founded by Ramsey Clark. These leftist groups are now on the frontlines
cheering on the Islamists in Egypt as Khomeini-style killing
fields loom ominously on the horizon for the Middle Eastern country. Members of
the political faith simply can’t contain themselves from worshiping at the feet
of tyrants who are set on perpetrating a mass slaughter and are intent on
bringing the carnage to America. Anti-American “feminist” Naomi Klein set the
tone perfectly a few years back for her comrades when, in a column in The
, she enunciated her heartfelt longing for Muqtada al-Sadr’s
killing fields to come to New York.
And so, our Radical-in-Chief is unsurprisingly joining in on the
Progressive-Brotherhood love-fest, extending his hand of solidarity to the
Muslim Brotherhood and giving the Islamist group a green light to share power in a post-Mubarak Egyptian
Obama is, of course, just doing what comes naturally to him, as he revealed
his own political romance with radical Islam immediately upon taking office.
Back in February 2009, for instance, Obama made sure to reward Hamas for
launching rockets into Israeli towns and cities by flirting with the terrorist
group and announcing plans to place $900 million of American taxpayers’
money into its blood-soaked hands. The president followed up by going on his own
political pilgrimage, traveling to the Middle East in April 2009 to bow in front
of the Saudi king. The love affair was brought to a climax two months later, in
June 2009, this time when the president traveled to Cairo University to address
the Muslim world and invited at least ten Muslim Brotherhood members to attend.
Thus, it makes total sense that the president continued to indulge in putting
quite distinguished people on his “guest lists.” When the Obama White House had
its infamous 2010 Ramadan dinner, the guests included two Islamists: Ingrid Mattson and Salam Al-Marayati. Mattson heads the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) that was named as an
unindicted co-conspirator in the trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development.
An Islamic “charity,” the Foundation was convicted in 2008 for funding
the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas. Al-Marayati heads the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), an
anti-Israel organization that spends most of its time obfuscating and
equivocating about the terrorist threat. Al-Marayati has distinguished himself
with his view that if Islamic groups were suspects for the 9/11 attacks, then
Israel should be as well, since it had the “most to gain.”
While the president plays his part, leftist scholars and journalists are also
joining the Brotherhood odyssey. Bruce Riedel is particularly distinguishing
himself in this theater. A senior fellow at the Brookings Institution’s Saban
Center, Riedel is, unsurprisingly, one of Obama’s chief advisors on the Middle
East and is promoting the Muslim Brotherhood, arguing that the U.S. needs to befriend and show warmth to the
group — as well as to Hamas and Hezbollah. In his mind, the onus is on the
United States to “understand” the Muslim Brotherhood, because it “is the most
reasonable face of Islamic politics in the Arab world today.”

Salon reporter Justin Elliott, meanwhile, is calling for an
American dalliance with the Brotherhood. He is joined by John Feffer,
co-director of the leftist think tank Foreign Policy In Focus, who is hailing
the Islamist group, titling his recent Huffington Post article “Two Cheers for the Brotherhood.” There are also the likes of
Islamist apologists and leftists like Reza Aslan who are trying to get the
Brotherhood into power in Egypt by sanitizing it. As Aslan adamantly implores for all of us to understand, the
Muslim Brotherhood is not really so bad and doesn’t represent a threat at all.
Why? Well, because “people like Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum” are just as
dangerous since they are “two men whose views on the role of religion and
politics are almost identical to those of the Muslim Brotherhood.” That’s a
comparison for the record books.
In reaching out to the Muslim Brotherhood, all these leftists are taking a
page from the book of their guru Jimmy Carter, who has led his political flock
by example — and, oh, let us count the ways. Carter pulled the rug out from
under the shah’s feet in 1979 and helped the Ayatollah Khomeini achieve power in
Iran. He went out of his way, during the Gaza War in the winter of 2008–2009,
to support Hamas, whose main purpose is to annihilate Israel — and whose members
spend time reading Mein Kampf and doing the Nazi salute.
In a Washington Post piece titled “An Unnecessary War,” Carter spoke dismissively of Israel’s
thirst for life as if Article XI in Hamas’ charter doesn’t exist and as if the
Nazi organization is some kind of social welfare agency. Getting down into the
moral sewer for the millionth time in his life, he referred to “a defensive
tunnel” being dug by Hamas — you know, sort of like the Nazis had to build the
“defensive” chambers at Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Dachau, and Treblinka.
Carter also did his progressive duty and traveled to meet and worship the
objects of his veneration in person. In April 2008, he embarked on a political
pilgrimage to Cairo and Damascus to show his personal affection to various mass
murderers. Part of his itinerary included a face-to-face passionate encounter
with Hamas leader Khaled Meshal, the mastermind of several high-profile terror
Carter was clearly trying to outdo MIT professor Noam Chomsky in dancing with Islamist devils. It remains a
debatable question who wins on the tally sheet of this particular leftist
dance-off. It could legitimately be argued that Chomsky has outscored all other
members of the political faith in setting the tone for the Left’s current Muslim
Brotherhood romance.
Back in May 2006, for example, he traveled to Lebanon to consummate a
political love affair that he had begun in the 1990s. Arriving in a southern
suburb of Beirut, Chomsky entered the headquarters of Hezbollah and warmly
embraced the terror organization’s secretary general, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah.
It was a thrilling moment for the professor, for finally he could apologize to a
Nazi for being a Jew in person. And there Chomsky was, with the distinguished
honor of standing in the company of the bloodthirsty jihadist murderers who had
slaughtered 241 American servicemen at the Marine barracks in Lebanon in 1983
and, of course, untold numbers of Israeli citizens over many years.
Chomsky justified these murderous crimes as “legitimate resistance” against
an oppressor. Having praised the terrorist organization throughout the 1990s,
Chomsky could now put his complete seal of approval on Hezbollah. And he did: he
gave his blessing to Nasrallah, praised his cause, and approved his refusal to
And so, the current leftist romance with the Muslim Brotherhood has its solid
foundations to stand on. The historical precedents and inspirations are there,
in infinite numbers, to give guidance and sanctioning for the new terror-loving
and monster-venerating political pilgrims of our time.

The Muslim Brotherhood – in their own words

The Muslim Brotherhood – in their own words

They’re just puppy dogs, don’t you know? They’ve
renounced violence and have NO INTENTION of setting up a religious-dominated
government in Egypt.

Uh-huh – sure:

PMW [Palestinian Media Watch] has selected the following quotes from
Jihad is the way to illustrate central ideas of Muslim Brotherhood ideology.
PMW’s translation of the book follows below.

National goal: Islamic world domination
– “…the Islamic Ummah [nation]… can regain its power and be liberated and
assume its rightful position which was intended by Allah, as the most exalted
nation among men , as the leaders of humanity…”
– “…know your status, and
believe firmly that you are the masters of the world, even if your enemies
desire your degradation…”
– “It should be known that Jihad and preparation
towards Jihad are not only for the purpose of fending-off assaults and attacks
of Allah’s enemies from Muslims, but are also for the purpose of realizing the
great task of establishing an Islamic state and strengthening the religion and
spreading it around the world…”
– “…Jihad for Allah is not limited to the
specific region of the Islamic countries, since the Muslim homeland is one and
is not divided, and the banner of Jihad has already been raised in some of its

Obama’s Foxy Evasions

Obama’s Foxy Evasions

Bill O’Reilly’s interview of President Obama on Fox News just prior to the
Super Bowl confirmed that he remains a self-absorbed leftist.
Now that he’s ardently denied moving to the political center, maybe pundits
and Republicans like Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) will finally get
, unless they naïvely believe he’s been there all along.
Obama’s responses qualified for more penalty flags than were thrown during
the game.  His reaction to the crisis in Egypt is similar to his comment about
the Super Bowl.  He refused to “pick sides.”  The transcript is available online.
Obama revealed his alarming apathy about the Muslim Brotherhood seizing
power in the aftermath of the Egyptian crisis.  While Obama easily faulted “the
judge in Florida” who declared “ObamaCare” unconstitutional, he couldn’t manage
to criticize the Brotherhood despite its commitment
to a worldwide caliphate imposing Shariah Law and Jihad on all nations.
Its “spiritual leader,” Imam Yusuf al-Qaradawi, hosts a daily TV show
viewed by 40 million Muslims.  He defends
Hitler, suicide bombings, killing Jews, and Muslims employing nuclear weapons
“to terrorize.”  Despite all the evidence of the Muslim Brotherhood’s
radicalism, Obama created a false dilemma by contrasting the Brotherhood with
the “suppressed Egyptian people” under the current regime of President Hosni

they a threat to the USA?

O’REILLY: Are they a threat?

OBAMA: But they are well-organized
and there are strains of their ideology that are anti-U.S. There’s no doubt
about it. But here’s the thing that we have to understand. There are a whole
bunch of secular folks in Egypt, there are a whole bunch of educators and civil
society in Egypt that wants to come to the fore as well. And it’s important for
us not to say that our only two options are either the Muslim Brotherhood or a
suppressed Egyptian people.

O’REILLY: But you don’t want the Muslim
Brotherhood ….

OBAMA: What I want is a representative government in
Egypt. And I have confidence that if Egypt moves in an orderly transition
process, that we will have a government in Egypt that we can work with together
as a partner.

When asked what is the “absolute worst part of being president,” Obama’s
self-absorption was evident:
O’REILLY: Okay. Worst part of this job? What’s the worst, absolute worst
part of being president of the United States?

OBAMA: Worst part of the
job is, first of all, I’ve got a jacket on Super Bowl Sunday.

That’s true.

OBAMA: If I wasn’t president, that would not be

O’REILLY: I have a tie. You don’t have a tie.

The biggest problem for me is being in the bubble. It’s very hard to escape. You
know, you can’t go to the corner ….

O’REILLY: Everybody watching every
move you make.

OBAMA: Every move you make. And you – over time, you know,
what happens is you feel like – that you’re not able to just have a spontaneous
conversation with folks.

OBAMA: And that’s a loss. That’s a big loss.
Most presidents say that sending America’s soldiers into harm’s way is the
worst part of being president, not the loss of their personal comfort zone.
In his book, An American Life, President Reagan recounts
telling a group of children: “As I’ve said, the hardest part of the job was
having to send young men and women into situations of danger and then having to
tell the families of some why they weren’t coming back.”
Every president has experienced the discomfort of “being in the bubble.”
For Obama, it’s all about him.
Obama didn’t deny that he’s a “big government liberal.”  But he flatly
denied that he’s “a man who wants to redistribute wealth,” claiming that he
“lowered taxes over the last two years.”  O’Reilly let that pass and didn’t
remind Obama of the 2001 interview
in which he championed redistribution of wealth and criticized the Supreme Court
for failing to do so.
Recall Obama telling “Joe the Plumber” in 2008 that it’s good “to spread
the wealth around”:
JOE WURZELBACHER, PLUMBER: Your new tax plan is going tax me more, isn’t
OBAMA: It’s not that I want to punish your success; I just want to make
sure that everybody who is behind you that they’ve got a chance to success, too.
I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for
Obama said he’s “the same guy” he’s always been.
Both the Muslim Brotherhood and the Big Government guys are counting on

Mubarak and Barack Obama
JERUSALEM – An Egyptian Islamist terrorist organization founded by the Muslim Brotherhood is re-establishing itself amid the political
upheaval in Cairo, WND has learned.
Both Egyptian and Israeli security officials said the group, Al-Gama’a
al-Islamiyya, is being reconstituted at the direction of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The officials affirmed Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya serves as the de fact “military” wing of the Brotherhood, which originally founded Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya.
Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya is suspected of involvement in the 1981 assassination
of Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and it took credit for the 1995 attempted
killing of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. It has carried out scores of deadly terrorist attacks, some targeting foreign
The Muslim Brotherhood seeks to spread Islam around the world. Hamas and
al-Qaida are violent Brotherhood offshoots.
While the Brotherhood claimed it abandoned violence to push for a peaceful takeover of Egypt, the group’s new spiritual leader, Muhammad Badi, recently has publicly called for violent jihad, including against the U.S.

Yesterday, an Egyptian security official
was quoted in the news media stating Egyptian troops had arrested two armed
Palestinians from Hamas who entered the country illegally from the Gaza Strip.
The security official told reporters the men had crossed from Gaza into
Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula using smuggling tunnels and that they were arrested in a
stolen car in the town of el-Arish, near the border, along with three Egyptian
The official told the Associated Press the two Hamas men were caught with
weapons, hand grenades, two RPGs and about $8,600 in cash.
A senior Egyptian security official speaking to WND yesterday said an
investigation found the two Hamas men were aiding in the reorganization of
Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya, which, he said, is attempting to reconstitute itself
under the direction of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Egyptian security official said Hamas is helping Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya
organize into divisions and to arm itself with weapons currently in the Sinai
waiting to be smuggled into Gaza.
Both Israel and Egypt say Hamas has amassed a large quantity of weapons in
the Sinai Pinunsula, where the Islamist group has been attempting to smuggle the
weaponry into Gaza.
Now, the Egyptian security official said, some of those weapons are going to
arm the reconstituted Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya.
Notorious terrorist attacks
Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya was founded by the Muslim Brotherhood, and is
classified as a terrorist group by the U.S., European Union and Egypt. Like the
Muslim Brotherhood, the group is dedicated to the overthrow of Mubarak, seeking
to replace his regime with an Islamic state.
The group has carried out numerous deadly attacks.
Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya may have been involved indirectly in Sadat’s
assassination. The group’s leader has talked publicly about collaborating in
planning the murder with the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, which was blamed for the
In the late 1980s and 1990s, Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya carried out scores of
terrorist acts in Egypt, including the murders and attempted murders of
prominent Egyptian writers and intellectuals. The group also targeted tourists
and foreigners.
In 1997, it carried out the notorious Luxor massacre in Luxor, Egypt, killing
58 foreign tourists and four Egyptians. Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya went on a
shooting rampage in that attack, even reportedly mutilating the bodies of
victims. A note praising Islam was found inside one disemboweled body.
One year earlier, in 1996, Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya carried out a shooting
rampage at the Europa Hotel in Cairo, killing 18 Greek tourists.
In 1995, the group took responsibility for a car bomb attack on the Egyptian
embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, murdering 16 people.
After a massive Egyptian crackdown on the group in 1997 following the Luxur
attack, Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya brokered a deal with the Egyptian government that
is known as the Nonviolence Initiative, in which some leaders of the movement
said they renounced violence.
Still, exiled leaders of Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya maintained the group would
not give up its violence.
Brotherhood declares war on U.S.
Multiple prominent U.S. commentators also have been claiming the Muslim
Brotherhood is a moderate organization and denying any Islamist plot to seize
In November, the Brotherhood’s new supreme guide, Muhammad Badi, delivered a
sermon entitled, “How Islam Confronts the Oppression and Tyranny.”
“Resistance is the only solution,” stated Badi. “The United States cannot
impose an agreement upon the Palestinians, despite all the power at its
disposal. [Today] it is withdrawing from Iraq, defeated and wounded, and is also
on the verge of withdrawing from Afghanistan because it has been defeated by
Islamist warriors.”
Badi went on to declare the U.S. is easy to defeat through violence, since it
is “experiencing the beginning of its end and is heading toward its demise.”
U.S. tacitly supports Brotherhood talks
The information comes after the U.S. tacitly approved the Muslim
Brotherhood’s involvement in political dialogue in Egypt.
“Today we learned the Muslim Brotherhood decided to participate, which
suggests they at least are now involved in the dialogue that we have
encouraged,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in an NPR interview this
past weekend from Germany.
“We’re going to wait and see how this develops, but we’ve been very clear
about what we expect.”
“The Egyptian people are looking for an orderly transition that can lead to
free and fair elections. That is what the United States has consistently
supported,” Clinton said in Munich, referring to elections in which the Muslim
Brotherhood is expected to take large gains.
“The people themselves, and leaders of various groups … will ultimately
determine if it is or not meeting their needs.”
She added: “I want to make very clear we have set forth the principles we
support. We are adamant about no violence….And we want to see an orderly,
expeditious transition.”
Obama yesterday told reporters that talks to resolve Egypt’s crisis are
making progress amid negotiations between Mubarak and the opposition, including
the Muslim Brotherhood.
“Obviously, Egypt has to negotiate a path and they’re making progress,” Obama
told reporters.
Meanwhile, in Israel yesterday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Egypt could fall into the hands of Islamists
as a result of the country’s uprising.
“Egyptians can choose a state with secular reforms. However, there is also
another possibility that the Islamists will exploit the situation in order to
gain governance over the country and lead it backward,” Netanyahu said.
“The third possibility is that [Egypt] will go in the direction of Iran,”
Netanyahu said, adding a new Egyptian leadership may “oppress the country and
threaten all those surrounding it.”
