Multiculturalism, which used to be merely noxious, has become a raging
infection which poses as much of a threat to America as the national debt or
terrorism — before Osama assumed room temperature.

Recently, a gang of ethnocentric thugs took over a meeting of the governing
board of the Tucson, Arizona, Unified School District, chaining themselves to
desks, screaming slogans, and chasing board members from the room.

They were enraged by an attempt to make a course that teaches history “from a
Mexican-American perspective” optional instead of a substitute for a required
course in U.S. history.

The Mexican American Studies Program incites approximately 1,700 middle-and
high-school students in the district annually.

After an investigation, Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom
Horne determined that the basic theme of the curriculum (AKA: Raza — “the race”
— Studies) is that Hispanic students “were and continue to be victims of a
racist American society driven by the interests of middle- and upper-class
whites.”

Classrooms in which this pedagogy is perpetrated are decorated with pictures
of such Latino “heroes” as Castro and Che Guevara.

Textbooks refer to citizens of this country as “Anglos” or “Euroamericans”
(rather than Americans) and include such gems as an essay by one Robert Jensen,
which claims Thanksgiving is a “white supremacist holiday” that should be
replaced by a “National Day of Atonement” for gringo sins against people of
color.

The introductory chapter promises: “We will see how half of Mexico
(California, Texas and the Southwest) was ripped off by trickery and
violence. We will see how Chicanos became a colonized people. In the process of
being colonized, we were robbed of land and other resources.” The nerve of those
Texans, tricking Santa Anna into attacking the Alamo and killing its
defenders to the last man.

In violation of a recently enacted Arizona law, the curriculum promotes the overthrow of the United States government and “resentment toward a race or class of people,” is “designed primarily for pupils of a particular ethnic group” and advocates “ethnic solidarity instead of treatment of pupils as individuals.”

The multiculturalist assault on America is multifaceted.

In 2010, on Cinco de Mayo (which celebrates the Mexican army’s 1862 victory
over the French – big whoopee), a group of patriotic students at the Live Oak
High School in Morgan Hill, California, were sent home for wearing American-flag
t-shirts. Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez is said to have….

Everything Obama Said About the Border Was a Lie

Everything Obama Said About the Border Was a Lie

May
11th, 2011

Sen. Jim DeMint, R-SC, NRO

President Obama’s immigration speech in El Paso today is a poor substitute
for the real border security the country still desperately needs. And it was a
transparent attempt to keep using illegal immigration as a campaign issue, as
President Obama made no attempt to solve this problem during the two years his
party held huge majorities in both houses of Congress. His own administration
has not done its job to finish the border fence that is a critical part of
keeping Americans safe and stopping illegal immigration.

Rather than holding immigration summits at the White House with special
interests and making speeches, President Obama should direct the members of his
administration tasked with homeland security and patrolling the border to enact
measures that have already been made law by Congress.

Five
years ago, legislation was passed to build a 700-mile double-layer border fence
along the southwest border
. This is a promise that has not been kept.

Today, according to staff at the Department of Homeland Security, just 5
percent of the double-layer fencing is complete, only 36.3 miles.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO), Congress’s investigative arm,
reported in early 2009 that only 32 miles of double-layer fencing had been
built. That means under President Obama, only 4.3 miles of double layer fencing
has been built. This is woefully inadequate.

While the border-fence construction lags, Mexican cartels continue to smuggle
drugs, weapons, and illegal aliens into our country, attracting violent
crime.

The United
States Attorney’s Annual Statistical Report for Fiscal Year 2009
stated that
“violence along the border of the United States and Mexico has increased
dramatically in recent years.” Citing a National Drug Intelligence Center
report, it continued, “Mexican drug trafficking organizations represent the
greatest organized crime threat to the United States and the influence of
Mexican drug trafficking organizations over domestic drug trafficking is
unrivaled.”

Last month, officials
in Brownsville, Texas, found a homemade, improvised explosive device
on
Highway 77 that resembled the bombs used against U.S. troops in the Middle East
and by Mexican drug cartels.

The Liberals’ Gun Control Crusade Targets…the Amish?

The Liberals’ Gun Control Crusade Targets…the
Amish?

April 4th, 2011

Kevin “Coach” Collins, FloydReports.com

The double-talking liberal Democrats in Illinois have
voted down a Republican measure to demand that those attempting to vote produce
a photo ID. The arguments they made were the same shopworn nonsense they always
use: “Such
a law will discourage voting”
; “It
disadvantage minority groups”
; etc.
In spite of the ever-increasing movement toward photo identification
everywhere we look, these people are able to kill photo ID bills. They have the
votes in the Illinois legislature and fear their fraudulent voters will not
be able to
keep supporting them if the system were to become honest.
Gun Control is the Liberals’ Religion
The same liberal Democrats who fight to keep voters from having to produce
photo ID have now passed a new law that will demand photo ID for those
who want to exercise their Second Amendment right
to buy a gun.
For most of the comrades living in a socialist-leaning state like Illinois,
assaults on freedom like this are part of life. Nevertheless, not all of
Illinois’ citizens can merely shrug off this law….

As Obama Shuts Down Border Fence, Homeland Security Chair Asks for Border Security Plan

As Obama Shuts Down Border Fence, Homeland Security Chair Asks for
Border Security Plan

January 17th, 2011

Jim Kouri, Canada Free Press

New York’s Congressman Peter King, the new chairman of the House Homeland
Security Committee demanded that Obama White House present Congress with a
detailed plan to properly secure the U.S.-Mexico border after Homeland Security
Secretary Janet Napolitano announced the scrapping border fence project.
Following the Obama administration’s announcement to discontinue work on a
“virtual border,”  Rep. King said in a press statement that the Department of
Homeland Security should “speed up its plan to establish a protected
border.”
The original Southwest Border Initiative program, started during President
George W. Bush’s administration, has only established 53 miles worth of fencing
along the border, and has been plagued by construction delays and equipment
failure. Earlier last year, Secretary Napolitano ordered a complete assessment
of the project.
As reported in the past by NewswithViews.com, the original border security
plan called for a fence and barriers to be used on parts of the U.S.‘s southern
border, but with the Democrats controlling both houses of Congress and the Bush
Administration being weak on border security, the plan switched from a real
fence or wall to a virtual fence using high-tech equipment.
“The Obama Administration must promptly present the people of this country
with a comprehensive plan to secure our borders, incorporating the necessary
staffing, fencing, and technology,” said King in a statement. “I expect the
Administration, in its upcoming 2012 budget proposal, to put forward such a
plan, including timelines and metrics.”
However, the ranking Democrat on the committee, Congressman Bennie G.
Thompson (D-MO), applauded the program’s ending, saying that it has been “a
grave and expensive disappointment since its inception.”

Will AZ Shooter Kill the First Amendment?

Will AZ Shooter Kill the First Amendment?

January 11th, 2011

Joe Guzzardi, FloydReports.com

Immediately after crazed gunman Jared Lee Loughner gravely wounded Arizona U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords, killed U.S. Judge John M. Roll, and six other people while wounding 12 innocent bystanders, the immigration rhetoric subtly ratcheted up.

Denouncing Gifford’s shooting, Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik and others made it clear that what they referred to as “inflammatory speech” had made the political atmosphere in Arizona so toxic that acts of violence were inevitable.

Referring to talk radio hosts, Dupnik charged them with “inflaming the American public by those who get paid to do that. It might be free speech but it does not come without consequences.”

Ironically, Dupnik is the most skilled flamethrower of all.

Last year, at the height of the S.B. 1070 controversy, Dupnik called it “racist” and “disgusting” while claiming that Arizona is “the mecca of prejudice and bigotry.” Furthermore, Dupnik went on record that he would not enforce the measure if it became law, a blatant violation of his oath of office.

Dupnik never directly claimed that S.B. 1070 and Giffords’ support of it were linked to the shootings. But a close read between the lines strongly suggests that Dupnik blames Loughner’s multiple murders on “the haters,” a label that many automatically apply to Americans who favor enforcing federal immigration law.

Even though only a few hours had passed after the massacre before Dupnik pointed his finger and no evidence has yet surfaced that Loughner is anything other than deranged, more “hate” charges flew.

The Agenda Revealed: How Obama Will Rule by Executive Order in 2011

The Agenda Revealed: How Obama Will Rule by Executive Order in 2011

November 22nd, 2010

Ben Johnson, FloydReports.com

Late last month, a reporter asked the head of the Office of Public Engagement Valerie Jarrett what she would tell her close friend Barack Obama about the American uprising against his aggressive liberalism. She replied,   “To stay the course and to know that it will get better.” Those were   not idle words of comfort; they were marching orders. The president told the New York Times he runs every decision by Jarrett, and she has admitted to Vogue magazine, “I kind of know what makes [both Obamas] who they are.” When she speaks, Obama listens.

The   day after the election, as pundits forecast how he would compromise   with the Republican House, Barack Obama revealed that he planned to   continue moving this country to the Left. As though he were invincibly   ignorant to the will of the people, Obama told Democratic volunteers on a conference call, “We’ve just got to work harder to deliver the change the American people want.”

Last   week, the Center for American Progress (CAP), which received   significant seed money from George Soros, released a 47-page paper   illustrating how he could do that: by ruling through executive order, as   this author reported he would. Some of their proposals include  blocking  legislation passed by Congress, advancing the Cloward-Piven  Strategy,  and levying a new fee on foreign oil. Now, Soros is  threatening to dry  up the cash flow if Obama does not comply. Obama  appears poised to  continue shoving the big government liberalism  Americans repudiated this  month down their collective throat through  executive action.

Obama Admin Threatens to Sue AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Obama Admin Threatens to Sue AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio

August 18th, 2010

Ben Johnson, Floyd Reports

The Obama administration has decided to get tough on illegal immigration…enforcement. The Washington Post reports today that Eric Holder is threatening to sue America’s toughest sheriff, Joe Arpaio if the sheriff does not help the administration continue a second frivolous lawsuit against him:

Justice Department officials in Washington have issued a rare threat to sue Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio if he doesn’t cooperate by Tuesday with their investigation into whether he discriminates against Hispanics…a federal grand jury in Phoenix is examining whether Arpaio has used his power to investigate and intimidate political opponents and whether his office misappropriated government funds, sources said.

That sounds serious. It’s not. Apparently “civil rights groups accuse the 78-year-old lawman of racial profiling,” as they do everyone else. (The Department of Homeland Security has estimated that 62 percent of all illegal immigrants are from Mexico, and even more from other Latin American nations. This suggests a potential profile.) In addition, “some Maricopa County officials say Arpaio has launched meritless corruption investigations against officials who have criticized his policies or opposed his requests” — so they’re launching a meritless investigation of Arpaio.

The Attorney General is demanding compliance even as his Justice Dept. is stonewalling an investigation into charges levied by a former employee that the department turns a blind eye to black crimes.

Left-leaning prosecutors do not see any merit in the case against Arpaio. Former Justice Dept. prosecutor Peter Zeidenberg, who helped prosecute Scooter Libby and donated $1,400 to Barack Obama in 2008,  said, “I don’t know what a charge would be…I’m not aware of any federal statute that would fit.”

Even the Post couldn’t help but notice the odd timing: “The standoff comes just weeks after the Justice Department sued Arizona and Gov. Jan Brewer (R) over the state’s new immigration law, heightening tensions over the issue ahead of November’s midterm elections.” This is merely a second front in the administration’s crackdown on its own citizens (on behalf of non-citizens).

Although it is unclear how he could win or hope to keep his case from being laughed out of court, Holder said he expects his case to “produce results.

That phrase reveals everything. The intention is not justice but harassment. This threatened lawsuit is simply the latest bout of federal thuggery, extortion, and intimidation against the Obama administration’s critics.

This prosecution of those who uphold the law on behalf of those who transgress the law represents Barack Obama and the Washington Democrat’’s modus operandi: every decision they make is 180-degrees from reality.

Obama will not enforce federal immigration law but is suing a state that offered to help Washington pick up the slack.

Although Obama does not want to investigate the funding of the Ground Zero mosque, Nancy Pelosi said yesterday she will “join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded.”

The president would not comment on the “wisdom” of putting a mosque on the site of the worst act of Muslim terrorism on U.S. soil (so far), but he has called police officers stupid for arresting a hostile suspect and auto officials avaricious for refusing a hostile union takeover.

He refuses to prosecute members of the New Black Panther Party (who voted for Obama) for threatening to beat white voters (who have voted against him), but instructed his Dept. of Homeland Security to spy on housewives and veterans who oppose abortion or gay marriage (or, yes, illegal immigration).

Michael Reagan points out in his column today that Obama has no time for Boy Scouts or the National Prayer Breakfast but he has hosted an Iftar dinner surrounded by Muslims. (He also held a Seder that reportedly commemorated the struggle for socialized medicine.)

This is the logical outcome of an administration that believes we must tax our way into prosperity, “spend money to keep from going bankrupt,” cower our way into respect, expand health care by reducing the number of doctors, bow our way into dominance, and balkanize our way to unity.

Obama and Immigration: Rewriting History?

Obama and Immigration: Rewriting History?

Posted By Pam Meister On July 2, 2010 @ 12:00 am In Column 2, Culture, History, Homeland Security, Immigration, US News | 55 Comments

This week, while shilling for “comprehensive immigration reform” (aka amnesty for illegal aliens), President Obama cited the famous poem “The New Colossus” ( “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”) written by Emma Lazarus in 1883. For one whose intellectual powers are constantly being touted by his followers, it’s interesting to note how little he seems to know about the Statue of Liberty’s history — or, perhaps, how little he cares about twisting that history in order to push his radical progressive agenda.

Obama said in his speech on Thursday [1] that Emma Lazarus wrote the poem and donated it for an auction in order to “help pay for the construction of a new statue.” He went on to say that the funding for the statue was garnered by small donations from people all across America. Unfortunately, he gets it wrong.

The Statue of Liberty [2], commissioned in 1876 and designed by sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, was a gift to America from France in honor of this nation’s centennial. The only cost to Americans was that of the pedestal upon which the statue would be placed, and fundraising for that effort began several years before the statue arrived, in pieces, to be reassembled upon arrival in 1885. In fact, the poem written by Lazarus was forgotten soon after it was donated to the fundraising effort and it wasn’t until 1903, 16 years after her death, that the poem was engraved on a bronze plaque [3] and placed inside the pedestal as a memorial.

Perhaps pointing out the discrepancy about the wording of his speech (“the construction of a new statue” rather than “the construction of the new statue’s pedestal”) seems like nitpicking. But had a Republican president made such an error, innocent or otherwise, he’d have been pilloried in the “mainstream” press as an ill-educated boor. It reminds us of how the MSM ignored [4] Obama’s infamous “57 states” gaffe while on the campaign trail in 2008. Besides, it’s a lot more glamorous to talk about fundraising efforts for the statue itself, not the statue’s base.

It’s also somewhat galling to hear Obama speak of Lazarus’ Jewish heritage, considering his attitude toward Israel [5] — a nation created in the traditional Jewish homeland as a refuge for Jews once again escaping from Europe “to the sounds of gunfire” and seeking refuge to create new lives for themselves.

But here’s the icing on the cake: Obama made the claim [6] that “being an American is not a matter of blood or birth, it’s a matter of faith” and said that “we can’t forget that this process of immigration and eventual inclusion has often been painful. Each new wave of immigrants has generated fear and resentment towards newcomers, particularly in times of economic upheaval.” In other words, those of us who are against illegal aliens breaking our laws by sneaking in through our borders and other ports of entry are a bunch of racists who are looking to deprive these people of their livelihoods.

Ed Morrissey brings up another salient point [7]:

We know what Obama meant in this passage — a similarity to those who have expressed the notion that they were Americans before ever setting foot in the US, thanks to their love of liberty.  However, the people expressing that concept came to the US through legal immigration, and didn’t presume to break our laws in order to express their desire to live in freedom.  They understood that the aspirational concept of being American and the legal status of American citizenship (or even residency) are two completely different things.

Besides, if being an American is a matter of faith, then the religion in question is devotion to the rule of law.  We have created the laws by which we live through representative democracy within a framework set by our Constitution.  Breaking the law to get into the country isn’t an expression of faith; using Obama’s construct, it’s actually heresy.

But as I said recently [8], it’s not about enforcing current law to protect actual Americans — you know, those of us who do not base our citizenship on “faith” alone. It’s about courting a large group of people who, if given amnesty, would constitute a juicy voting bloc just waiting to be snapped up.

Obama’s Immigration Hypocrisy

Obama’s Immigration Hypocrisy

July 2nd, 2010

By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann

When Obama could have passed comprehensive immigration reform – when he still had 60 Senate Democrats – he didn’t lift a finger to push it. Now that he can’t pass it – it is too late in the year, he doesn’t have 60 votes, and many Democrats will defect – he aggressively pushes it in a national speech.

The opportunism and hypocrisy of his attempt to manipulate America’s Latinos into forgetting his previous inaction is transparent and obvious. Polls show him losing Hispanics due to high and continuing unemployment and losing Congressional seats in the bargain, so Obama has dug up the immigration proposals of former President George W. Bush, dusted them off, and made them his own. He knows it won’t pass. But he hopes that it will reignite Latino enthusiasm for his failing presidency and anger at Republicans for frustrating immigration reform.

In the process, Obama is neglecting the real answer to immigration. It is ridiculous to speak of sealing the border. A border of more than 1500 miles can’t be sealed. It can’t even be controlled. As long as people want to cross, they will be able to get over. Some won’t make it. They will just keep trying until they do.

To sell his amnesty program for those already here, Obama raised the red herring of deportation, saying that we could never round up and send away 11 million people.

But he brushed over the real answer: To dry up the jobs. If employers would not hire illegal immigrants, they would stop coming here and those already here would pack up and go home of their own accord. Obama’s promise, in his speech, to invigorate the enforcement of sanctions on employers who hire illegals rang hollow. If he hasn’t done it over the past year and a half, what confidence do we have that he will see the light now?

Thanks to their international “human rights” advocates, Gitmo detainees receive art therapy, movie nights and video games at their U.S. taxpayer-funded camp in Cuba. Now, the left’s bleeding heart lobby wants to provide similar taxpayer-sponsored perks to illegal alien detainees on American soil. Welcome to the open-borders Club Fed.

According to an internal Department of Homeland Security e-mail obtained by the Houston Chronicle, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency plans a radical overhaul of the immigration detention system. No, the reforms will not increase the nation’s measly, chronically underfunded detention bed capacity — fewer than 35,000 beds last fiscal year to cover an estimated illegal alien population of between 12 million and 20 million. The Obama ICE leadership is headed in the exact opposite direction.

ICE chief John Morton — the same man who signaled last month that he may refuse to process illegal aliens sent to him by Arizona law enforcement officials — has already eliminated 50 detention facilities. This despite a DHS inspector general report released last spring exposing the federal government’s bipartisan failure to expand detention space capacity to end the dangerous game of illegal alien “catch and release.”

Instead, among the p.c. makeover measures under consideration or about to be made by Obama’s ICE agency in the next 30 days:

– “Softening” the physical appearance of privately contracted detention facilities with “hanging plants.”

– Giving illegal alien detainees e-mail access and free Internet-based phone service.

– Abandoning lockdowns, lights-out, visitor screening and detention uniform requirements.

– Serving fresh veggies and continental breakfast and providing Bingo sessions, arts and crafts classes, and, yes, movie nights.

Ensuring humane treatment of detainees is one thing. This, on the other hand, is beyond ridiculous. Detention centers should be clean, safe and temporary way stations for illegal immigrants on their way out the door. These proposals turn the immigration detention centers into permanent Dave & Buster’s-style comfort zones for illegal aliens biding their time until the next amnesty. Dancing lessons? Game halls? This is an invitation for abuse — and a recipe for exploitation by smugglers and drug cartels. Open-borders and civil liberties activists will end up endangering DHS/ICE workers — and the rest of us — under the guise of “immigrant human rights.”

The left-wing campaign by the American Civil Liberties Union, change.org and illegal alien activists targeting our detention system began in earnest after 9/11. Under the Bush administration, hundreds of illegal aliens of Arab descent were detained and questioned as “material witnesses” in counterterrorism probes. The use of immigration laws in the war against Islamic jihadists became a rallying point for the open-borders propagandists.

The New York Times hysterically reported that most of these post-9/11 detainees were held for months without charges. In fact, 60 percent of the 762 immigrants detained after the 9/11 attacks were charged within 72 hours. And the Justice Department inspector general found that there were legitimate reasons for delay in the remaining cases, including logistical disruptions in New York City after 9/11, such as electrical outages, office shutdowns and mail service cancellation that slowed delivery of charging documents. Immigrant abuse charges were hurled recklessly by the likes of Al Gore, who slandered DHS’s detention program during a paid appearance in Saudi Arabia — despite the DOJ’s failure to find any such patterns.

The truth got lost along the way. So did common sense. Allowing illegal alien terror suspects to roam free in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks would have been a dereliction of duty. And countless homeland security experts and DHS inspector general reports have repeatedly spotlighted lax enforcement in the detention safety net over the past decade.

Hundreds of thousands of “absconders” remain on the loose because of failure (or refusal) to detain them. The immigration lawyers’ racket has lobbied for compassionate “alternatives” to detention that routinely result in deportation fugitives simply ditching the process and disappearing.

Their goal is not to improve detention. Their goal is to sabotage it — all while law-breakers munch on croissants and joyfully shout “BINGO!”
