Warning: Holy Month of Ramadan Trains Muslims to do What?

Warning: Holy Month of Ramadan Trains Muslims

 to do What?

By Carl Goldberg

The Muslim holy month of Ramadan has begun. In addition to fasting from dawn to dusk, Muslims are obligated to read the entire Koran during this month. Non-Muslims should be aware of some of the things their Muslim neighbors will be reading in the Koran:

  • The unbelievers among the people of the book and the pagans shall burn forever in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all creatures. (98.6).
  • Surely the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who disbelieve. (8.55)
  • The unbelievers are your inveterate enemy. (4:101)
  • Mohammed is God’s apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another. (48:29).
  • It is unlawful for a believer to kill another believer, accidents excepted. (4:92)
  • Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. (5:51)
  • Make war on them [non-Muslims] until idolatry shall cease and God’s religion shall reign supreme. (8:40)
  • Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God’s religion reigns supreme. (2:193)
  • The true believers fight for the cause of God, but the infidels fight for the devil. Fight then against the friends of Satan. (4:76)
  • We will put terror into the hearts of the unbelievers. (3:150)
  • I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the very tips of their fingers. (8:12)
  • When the sacred months are over, slay the idolaters wherever you find them. (9:5)
  • Fight against such of those to whom the Scriptures were given as believe in neither God nor the Last Day, … until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued. (9:29)
  • Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. (9:73 and 66:9)
  • Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Deal firmly with them. (9:123)
  • When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads. (47:4)
  • These and other passages in the Koran, which are considered Allah’s literal word, will be important to non-Muslims until the imams preach to their congregations that these passages are no longer valid. So far, it has not happened.

    Remembering the Unforgettable

    Remembering the Unforgettable
    Monday, 10 September 2007
It is said that “powerlessness frustrates and absolute powerlessness frustrates absolutely; absolute frustration is a dangerous emotion to run a world with.”

Sometimes I wonder why I am so restless, why I cannot cease thinking! It seems like the world we live in reveals to us incessantly, at certain moments or in certain circumstances, just how little we are and how vast the universe is. This world of ours is a very complex world. The world we live in is a world of many brutal voices. It is a world of heavy blows and delirious trances, but it is the only world that we know.

As Americans prepare themselves to remember and honor the victims of the Islamic terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, life reminds us all how vulnerable we really are. On that day, the world we live in appeared an obscure and dull place, filled with pockets of disasters where men are easily the victims.
The tragic and catastrophic events of September 11, 2001 have affected me tremendously. I felt a temptation to scream and run to the end of the world and say my prayers with unusual earnestness and a heavy heart. I felt like screaming for the overflowing flood of human blood. I felt like screaming for the weary eyes and innocent moans of the victims’ families. I felt apprehensive, anxious, and fearful. And now, as I take up my pen, my hand trembles and my head swims with horror and disbelief at the magnitude of the human devastation. Yet, the world will go on as usual.

During the events of September 11, 2001, Americans stood still and watched the most horrific events unfolding right in front of their eyes. They were very traumatized by the events. Many people came and told the reporters of how they saw the flesh on dead people and they were so scared. Americans watched, prayed and hoped, searching for an answer, a comfort and strength to pass those tumultuous moments. September 11, 2001 proved, unlike anything else in recent American history, that everyday people do extraordinary caring things. September 11 was the day that ordinary people became heroes. Heroes appear when circumstances call upon them. Heroes are those extraordinary people who make sacrifices and become agents of historical and social change.

When disasters occur, our minds pass through many stages of inner development. We sometimes speak of other forces that rule the world. The tragic event of September 11 left thousands dead and hundreds more wounded and put a nation into mourning. It was a heavy blow to humanity from the “religion of peace.”

There is nothing inherently wrong with religion. Religion can be a tremendous force for the good. However, when religion, this feeling-based belief, is filled with superstition, intolerance and hatred, then the beholder of that religion embodies those qualities and becomes a veritable menace to the self and to others. Feelings energize actions. Destructive feelings energize destructive actions.

Muslims living in theocratic states, in particular, tend to be victims of their religious brains. Their religious brains are indoctrinated, from the moment of birth, by an extensive ruthless in-power cadre of self-serving mullahs and imams who are intent on maintaining their stranglehold on the rank and file of the faithful—their very source of support and livelihood.

The mullahs and imams, as well as parents and others, envelop the receptive mind, feed it their dogma, and shield it from information that may undermine or falsify their version of belief.

For as long as there are bigoted, self-serving clergy and their collaborators with exclusive access to the blank slate, the problem of supplying wave after wave of Islamofascists will persist. It is the brain/mind that assesses things, makes decisions, and orders actions. To the extent that the in-place software of the religious brain is exclusionary in nature, hateful in orientation, and violent in tendency, the individual is both the perpetrator and the victim of barbaric acts.

What we need to do is to learn our lessons from the September 11 tragedy; learn more of the unethical depths to which human beings may fall and how we can prevent such tragedies from happening again. We need to educate ourselves about Islam, radical Islam and Islamofascism.

The surest way of dealing with Islamofascism is through the effective inculcation of religious software that promotes tolerance of diversity, freedom of faith and conscious goodwill to all, as well as the purging of all the vile and discriminatory dogma that permeates the out-dated primitive belief of some 1400 years. The best place to start is clearly the home, then schools, and mosques where the deeply-entrenched mullahs and imams of vested interest must be compelled by law to refrain from preaching messages of hate and violence against the unbelievers.

We, free Iranian-Americans, express our deepest sympathy to the families of the victims of the September 11 tragedy and we condemn, in the strongest terms, the new coalition of Islamofascists who are planning another attack on US soil under the disgusting and dangerous banner of Islamofascism.

    September 5, 2007

Picture this: A dramatic rise in attacks on minorities by white supremacist skinhead and similar groups occurs. Members of the White Aryan Resistance, the Aryan Brethren Church and others come out of the woodwork and begin to appear on television news venues, articulate and very dapper as they play the role of apologists for the former, but always with a hint of validation and justification as they disavow the escalating violence. For some unfathomable reason, they are softballed by the media, legitimizing them further with each passing day.

    Would this scenario disturb you?

In this space last week, I excoriated The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a terrorist-connected, criminal organization hiding behind an innocuous, corporate “civil rights advocacy for Muslims” façade. I still hold to this; the extraordinary (and very sobering) phenomenon was what followed the column’s publication: I was inundated with information from readers, colleagues and bloggers who have been following CAIR and similar organizations over the past few years. If I painted a frightening picture last week — as they say, “brother, you aint seen nothing yet.”

Although CAIR is “America’s largest Islamic civil liberties group” (from www.cair.org), there are literally dozens of equally active “major” (and perhaps hundreds of “minor”) groups (Let’s call them “cells”) operating throughout the United States. Aided by people whom they are in a position to reward (financially or through political support) and deluded diversity worshippers, they are garnering significant political power through attrition and public apathy.

“On September 8, 2007, Ahmad Al-Akhras, close advisor to Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman and president of the Islamic Foundation of Central Ohio (IFCO), will host Siraj Wahhaj as guest speaker at an IFCO fundraising dinner here in Columbus. Mayor Coleman has appointed Al-Akhras to numerous Columbus city government boards, commissions and committees.”

Central Ohioans Against Terrorism, August 30, 2007

By way of general affiliation, Mayor Michael Coleman supported the Kerry-Edwards ticket in 2004. Siraj Wahaj (born Jeffrey Kearse) was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings and is Imam of Al Taqwa mosque in New York.

Ahmad Al-Akhras, the Mayor’s “close advisor,” is a CAIR Board Member.

“An Open Letter from CAIR to the ADL” (Jewish Anti-Defamation League), released on August 30, 2007, chastised the ADL for “smearing the good name of an organization [CAIR] with a proud history of standing for justice and mutual understanding.” It’s not that I believe CAIR thinks the ADL’s leaders were born yesterday; this is clearly a public relations attack, a sympathy play for the American public’s consumption. For the ADL’s part, their “offense” was simply calling CAIR what they are.

The Iranian-American Council (AIC) is an organization that ostensibly “provides for a sustainable dialogue and a more comprehensive understanding of US-Iran relations.” [From AIC Mission Statement] Its American supporters are all left-leaners, and its rhetoric, while never acerbic, suggests that the United States’ involvement in Iranian politics is essentially to blame for the fact that “since the Iranian revolution of 1979, Iranian society has existed in an abnormal state.” (From “The Discourse of Democracy to the Discourse of Normalization in the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Hooshang Amirahmadi, Professor of Planning and International Development and the Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Rutgers University, and President of the American Iranian Council, May 29, 2007).

These cells are supported by brainwashed and misguidedly guilt-ridden Americans such as the “Reverend” Jim Sutter, a far Left agitator with bogus credentials and a nefarious history. He attacks those who scrutinize these pro-Muslim cells with outlandish claims of racism which the targets are compelled to answer, lest the public take their silence as an implicit admission of guilt.

“Jihad Watch” (www.jihadwatch.org), published by prominent political author Robert Spencer, is one of the most well-known purveyors of reliable information addressing behind-the-scenes machinations of stateside-based Islamic organizations. Groups such as CAIR and IAC have now taken up the practice of pressuring corporations and universities to block Jihad Watch as a “hate-speech” site on their servers. We know this, of course because avid readers subsequently write to JW and alert them. Fallen to pressure and PC cowardice so far are dozens of major corporations.

This type of blackmail has been used by far Left organizations since the ‘Nineties (in fact, quite a few universities block certain news magazines without any coercion whatsoever, a hypocrisy even in the face of their convoluted perception of First Amendment rights), but it is only recently that these Islamic cells have capitalized on this tactic.

“CAIR has so perfected the art of spin that I don’t think even you would catch the con job until it was over. At least, I’d bet that the innocents at Paramount didn’t have a clue that the screening they arranged for the movie ‘A Mighty Heart’ [starring Angelina Jolie] was a ruse to make CAIR, the terror-supporting organization, look good.”

From “A Mighty Spin: Paramount in Bed with CAIR,” Arlene Peck, Israel Hasbara Committee (IHC), July 31, 2007:

Last week I called for the disbanding of CAIR and the jailing of its leaders. Now, I’m calling for something far more extreme.

I’m sure there were millions of pre-World War II Germans who would have been mortified had they known what Hitler had in mind vis-à-vis slave laborers and concentration camps. Indeed, some might have changed history with their actions. But many who did hear what Hitler intended didn’t believe it. When the proverbial excrement hit the fan, all they could do was obey and cooperate under pain of death.

“Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and has now become the second largest religion in the United States.”

Gee — that must mean a lot of converts… or does it?

In America, there are probably between 1.8 and 3 million practicing Muslims in America, based on a cross-section of statistics. Most of these have come from the Middle East and Pakistan over the last 20 years. I am quite certain that many Americans count these among their friends, perceive no threat from them, and would find any comparison between them and the aforementioned “good Germans” preposterous. Their neighbors and colleagues at work supporting terrorists, let alone picking up a gun at some unforeseen juncture? Pshaw!

The Koran, however, expressly sanctions this type of duplicity during the subjugation of a dominant culture; this especially gives me pause since Muslims don’t believe in microwave wars. They have always thought of wars in terms of centuries or even millennia, as opposed to neat little month or two mop-ups.

Is watching one’s neighbor with a jaded eye paranoia, or a violation of his privacy or civil rights? My grandfather, a second-generation German, worked for the telephone company during World War II (he had served in the Cavalry during WWI, so he wasn’t at the top of the draft list). He tapped his German-descended neighbors telephone lines at the behest of his superiors who were cooperating with the Federal government. Why? Because they knew that there were German-descended Americans who were also Nazi sympathists — and they had no idea how far they would go in helping to manifest Hitler’s dream.

Is it any more paranoid, a violation of privacy or civil rights than community watch groups that keep tabs on serial child rapists? The purulent scourge of Political Correctness leads many Americans to say “yes,” which illustrates how weak and sick some of us have become in our thinking — and quite scrupulously validates my point. In 2004 in Russia, terrorists seized a school and blew themselves up along with 300 children.

Apparently it isn’t enough for the American public that CAIR’s predecessor, the American Muslim Council (AMC) was unmasked as a Wahhabist terrorist-supporting front, nor that radical Muslims have infiltrated our military and intelligence community, ostensibly secure organizations. What’s the challenge in a well-trained cell sequestering itself in, say, some suburban neighborhood and carrying out an attack akin to the one in Russia?

Only time will tell whether Americans have the capacity to “realize (the threat) and mobilize” as we have in the past, or whether we’ve become a society of blind, insane morons who refuse to believe the guy on the other end of the gun actually has the capacity to pull the trigger.

I’ve admitted previously to being kind of a twisted guy; I keep having this visual of television’s Mr. Rogers beckoning “Won’tcha be my neighbor?” — then the AK-47 comes out from behind that ridiculously dated, grandfatherly sweater.

    Mullahs and Opiates

    Mullahs and Opiates

    By Amil Imani

America and her quasi-backboned “allies” have a huge problem that grows by the day. Expectedly, there are as many analyses of our problem as there are “experts” to tell us what to think. A deluge of Western analysts have their diverse expert opinions regarding the “Mullah Problem” and what do about it. Some strategists advocate a military solution that ranges from full invasion of Iran to selective bombardment of its burgeoning nuclear centers and related facilities. Others are proponents of imposing economic sanctions of various types and severity. Still others feel that we simply have to learn to live with the inevitable-those “crazy” Mullahs with the bomb.

Perhaps there are no easy answers. But we should still take the time to understand the millstone that hangs around our collective necks. Perhaps within the problem is a solution. So what are the forces at work? What is the source of power that positions the Mullahs to be such a large threat?
Iran’s economy is a basket case. The ruling party has eviscerated productivity, employment, and consumer power, all while destroying personal freedom, and buying every weapon the Russians and Chinese can deliver. The Islamic Republic of Iran represents the cutting edge for the newly petrodollar-invigorated Islam. This energy exporter/arms importer is not popular at home, but its rulers couldn’t care less. Iran is as far from a democracy as a country can get. No wonder it is adored by the ex-Soviets, and regional dictator-wannabes like Hugo Chavez.
But Iran is no ordinary tyranny. It has a special zeal that gives it an edge: Islam. Iran is ruled by the mullahs, who are zealously determined to complete their Allah-appointed task of ending the world of “Dar-ul-Harb”-the non-Muslim world to be warred upon-and establishing the “Dar-ul-Solh,” or “Dar-ul-Salam”-the Muslim world of the Ummeh under the rule of the “Mahdi.” If achieving this aim hinges on the conflagration of a Third World War, the mullahs are more than eager to make it happen. This is their self-proclaimed destiny.
Karl Marx once said derisively that “religion is the opiate of the people.” If so, the militant Islam of Iran is more like crack cocaine than opium. Islam is the foundation for the Iranian theocracy’s ideology of hate and destruction, but it is not the only force propelling it. Therefore, do not dismiss these vicious destroyers as mere “religious fanatics,” therefore harmless old cranks who are disconnected to reality, soon to be replaced by sane moderates. They are nowhere near the point of being forced out by a natural revolution. They know what they are doing, and they are playing a very long game of chess.
Likewise do not doubt their steadfastness to their cause even if it means their own annihilation. If invoking catastrophe will compel their precious Mahdi’s coming, their sentiment is “bring it on.” We should rid ourselves of the “happy talk” we tranquilize ourselves with by reasoning that these doddering old-world religious fools may be mischievous, but they could never do real harm. Oh, sure, they might be arming some Iraqi Shiites, killing a few US soldiers, providing a little support for Hizbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Palestine-but they have no global destructive capacity. After all, we pacify ourselves that we’re not exactly talking about criminal masterminds like Hitler. Or are we?
Such optimistic self-delusions fully misunderstand the evil genius of the Mullahs. The mullahs’ method of staying in power relies heavily on oil for arms… and arms for power. They have a sizable but otherwise insufficient cadre of true-believing Shiites, but popular support is not needed in their situation. To remain in power, their apparatus relies on “preventive” measures. They don’t bother much with due process of law. Their “revolutionary guard” dispenses with the “due” and gets right to the “process.” On the slightest suspicion, they arrest, convict and execute. They let Allah in the next world take the time to determine the person’s guilt or innocence.
Presently, the Mullahs have been doing all they can to imprison and kill with impunity the internal opposition, and want the rest of the world to keep its nose out of their “family” business. Executions in Iran have skyrocketed.
This bunch of miscreants has the full support of Syria, Venezuela, and Russia. They have enthusiastic support from many terrorist organizations in the region and drug-running organizations worldwide. They have tacit support from China, Cuba, and France because the power structures of these countries resent the USA, and Iran is the leader in the expression of threats against the US “superpower.” The Mullahs receive relatively little criticism from semi-socialist democracies like Western Europe and Canada who seem obsessed with anti-Bush, anti-US diatribes. Certainly the UN could care less about their bomb-building, and would be holding “talks” after the first detonation because “everybody knows war never solved anything.” The Mullahs have nothing but support and few distractions. They’re not going anywhere without a very big push.
The mullahs have their job to do on God’s earth: to cleanse it of all infidels. When one has a tall order like that to fill, he can’t be bothered with the tedious due process the Western democracies “waste” so much time and resources on.
But these high priests of Iran are not exactly living up to their brand. The mullah mafia has a great scam going. They promise the ignorant Islamic devotees the phony ‘paradise’ of afterlife while they themselves enjoy their paradise of women, wealth and wine on this earth. They are unraveled in duplicity and heartlessness. So in nearly perfect emulation of Muhammad and his leadership 1400 years ago, the pious Mullahs go about plotting earthly destruction as they enrich themselves and enjoy earthly pleasures on the backs of their people.  Nice work, if you can get it.
Lest you think these men should at least be admired for their self discipline and abstention from personal sins, know that a sizable chunk of the mullahs are heavy opium smokers. No one can prove it, of course, but I don’t doubt it. In that land, opium smoking is still very popular with people who can afford the fruit of the Poppy. It is the Muslim’s alcohol. Although its use is prohibited by law, with stiff penalties on the books, the use of opium continues and has become more endemic than ever under the mullahs’ rule. This is in part because many of the mullahs as well as the law-enforcement officials are users and many officials make a personal fortune by getting their cuts from the traffickers. Opium is the drug of choice in the countryside, and heroin is primarily used by the more affluent city dwellers. Moreover, this is the drug that is used to calm the restless people. And don’t think that a little of their stash doesn’t make its way to the west.
The mullahs take pleasure and pride in their lavish lifestyle and power, and they want to bequeath it to their children, not to the people of Iran. So they assure their minions that Allah does not approve of the anti-Islamic practice of democracy, an invention of “western devils.” Be sure to remember that these crafty, evil men are also long-term planners. They have messianic plans to rule the world some day. And with their lifestyle, they can have their cake and eat it too: leisure, power, and destruction, insulated from the corrective forces of the political marketplace.
The mullahs are superb practitioners of the art of making a deal. In this practice, like in the game of poker, much depends on how one plays their hand. In the game of deal-making, beating around the bush is a standard operating procedure. They know that weak-willed Westerners feel productive when they “talk,” and engage in “negotiations.” These activities do nothing; but then again, accomplishing anything other than advancing their own careers and generating an undeserved sense of self-importance is never the goal of  careerist diplomats.
As for the “Great Satan,” going after the mullahs seems completely out of the question. We have no stomach for it; the Ayatollahs know it. Even Bush’s most loyal sidekick, ex-UK PM Tony Blair, was opposed to it. I hope that the Iraq misadventure has taught them an old lesson they seem to have had difficulty learning: it is a terrible mistake to go half way across the world and invade a country, unless you are able and willing to bulldoze the whole thing from one end to the other, with all the people bar none buried under the rubble.
The reason this rule is so important for us to learn is that having and displaying overwhelming power usually means you will not have to use it. But because the West has forgotten how to overwhelm the enemy, the war of attrition persists, and the people of the West become disheartened. They can’t even interrogate presumed terrorists; they have to send them to Egypt to get the job done!
It’s no wonder that recent military undertakings have been by-and-large busts- in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and even Afghanistan. This same policy of weakness has been successfully replicated in Israel, where the West ties Israeli hands behind their back so they don’t “over-react” to missiles hitting their towns and cities, tunnels dug under their borders, and soldiers being captured by terrorists! The Mullahs know this game very, very well. They persist, and we pretend the worst can’t happen. Whose opiate is the more effective, theirs or ours?
In the meantime, Iran’s illegitimate regime will, with ever greater peace of mind, pursue their quest for the nuclear bomb, by hook or by crook, and the mullahs of mass destruction will keep the corrupt, yawning, toothless UN “watchdog” content and distracted by throwing it a bone or two from time to time. Eventually, these suicidal, homicidal followers of Muhammad will have their WMD. In time, they will use it. Future historians will ask: how could the entire world have seen it coming and done nothing about it? What kind of opiate were these people on?

    Sweden ‘risks becoming terror base’

    The Local

Sweden’s security service, Säpo, has warned that there is a risk that Sweden could be used as a base for recruitment of terrorists. At least 20 Swedes have been arrested around the world on suspicion of terror offences since 2001.

“There is a risk of Sweden becoming a recruiting base for terrorists, and a base for the financing and planning of attacks in other countries,” said Säpo’s information director, Anders Thornberg, to Svenska Dagbladet.

Muslim leaders in America claim that Islam is a peaceful religion and that its followers simply want to live in peace with their neighbors. FSM Contributing Editor Douglas Farah, however, notes a startling document from the Muslim Brotherhood that indicates the MB has other plans.

The Smoking Gun on the Muslim Brotherhood’s Agenda

    By Douglas Farah

One of the most fascinating exhibits presented by the prosecution in the Holy Land Foundation case (provided by researchers for the NEFA Foundation) is a memorandum on the Muslim Brotherhood’s multifaceted plan to convert the United States to an Islamic nation. It is the smoking gun of the Ikhwan’s long-standing efforts to destroy the Western world as we know it.

The most interesting exhibit is a Muslim Brotherhood memorandum by Mohamed Akram, dated May 22, 1991, where he outlines the Ikhwan vision of the future. He leaves no ambiguity as to the nature of the Ikhwan calling. (The exhibits will be posted and written about more completely in the NEFA website in coming days).

Under the heading “Understanding the role of the Muslim Brother in North America,” he writes:

The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated ad God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.

    But wait, there is more:

Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack.

Akram then spells out in some detail the role of the Brotherhood in moving the project forward:

As for the role of the Ikhwan, it is the initiative, pioneering, leadership, raising the banner and pushing people in that direction (the Jihadist process). They are then able to employ, direct, and unify Muslims’ efforts and powers for this process. In order to do that, we must possess a master of the art of ‘coalitions,’ the art of ‘absorption’ and the principles of “cooperation.”

The document then gives rationale for setting up Ikhwan organizations across the country:

We must say that we are in a country which understands no language other than the language of the organizations, and one which does not respect or give weight to any group without effective, functional and strong organizations.

The document also deals with the criticism among the Brothers that the focus on the United States will drain support for the establishment of the global caliphate. The response is two-fold:

    1) The success of the Movement in America in establishing an observant Islamic base with power and effectiveness will be the best support and aid to the global Movement project.

    2) The global (Ikhwan) movement has not “succeeded yet in distributing roles to its branches, stating that what is needed from them as one of the participants or contributors to the project to establish the global Islamic state. The day this happens, the children of the American Ikhwani branch will have a far-reaching impact and positions that make the ancestors proud.”

The document ends with a list of Ikhwan groups trying to coordinate, including all the usual suspects (ISNA, ICNA, IIIT etc.).

What is so interesting about the document is the breadth of ambition, the conviction of ultimate success, and the care with which the campaign we see today was being thought about 16 years ago. So is the the clarity of the ultimate objective of ending our years as a functioning democracy, built on the rule of secular law, minority rights, and freedom of religion, press etc.

The infiltration of the government by members and sympathizers, the coordinated role of the organizations in pursuing specific objectives, the recruitment of the best and the brightest into the movement, and other objectives are far advanced, perhaps further than the author could have imagined in so short a time.

The rationale for those like Lieken et al, who want play footsie with these groups bent on our destruction, is truly mindboggling. I don’t think the Brothers who have been on the cusp of the new PR campaign, from Ramadan to Akef, have bothered to spell this out like the Brothers do for themselves.

But here we have it, in their own words, written by their own hands. There is much more to say, and I will revisit the topic as more information comes in.

    Will anyone pay attention?
