Barack Obama’s Chicago and George Bush’s Iraq

The numbers tell the story. Via CBS2 Chicago:

CHICAGO (CBS) An estimated 123 people were shot and killed over the summer. That’s nearly double the number of soldiers killed in Iraq over the same time period.
Yes, yes statisticians, there is a difference in the murder rate of a city with a population just under 3,000,000 and soldiers on patrol or engaged in combat.

The murders are concentrated in certain districts of Chicago, notably those on the South Side, which Barack Obama represented in the State Senate. Obama’s community organizing in Woodlawn (he worked for a Woodlawn group) doesn’t seem to have left a legacy of peace among the communards. In fact, the violence may be worse now than before Obama invaded from New York.

Who intervened and left a bigger and bloodier fiasco? George Bush in Iraq or Barack Obama in the Southside?

Taxes under Clinton 1999 Taxes under Bush 2007

After watching a focus group of democrats that watched the democratic debate the other day in Vegas, ….  For the most part, all of them bashed Bush over and over again on how he is out for his millionaire friends and the big oil companies and he has totally forgotten or disregarded the little guy.  So an ex-IRS employee, decided to look back on the tax tables to see if there is any truth to what they said and the media keeps stating as fact, “Bush is only out for the rich in this country.” Based on using the actual tax tables here are some examples on what the taxes were/are on various amounts of income for both singles and married couples.  So let’s see if the Bush tax cuts only helped the rich.
Taxes under Clinton 1999                                      Taxes under Bush 2007
Single making 30K – tax $8,400                               Single making 30K – tax $4,100
Single making 50K – tax $14,000                             Single making 50K – tax $8,900
Single making 75K – tax $23,250                             Single making 75K – tax $15,150
Married making 60K – tax $16,800                          Married making 60K – tax $8,200
Married making 75K – tax $21,000                          Married making 75K – tax $11,600
Married making 125K – tax $38,750                        Married making 125K – tax $24,100
If you want to know just how effective the mainstream media is, it is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever.  If any democrat is elected, ALL of them say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can’t wait for it to happen.  This is like in the movie The Sting with Paul Newman, you scam somebody out of some money and they don’t even know what happened.   Now this is effective marketing or maybe a better word is brain washing.

Bush is leading the World

Bush is leading the World

By Ted Belman

In February ‘03, a couple of months before the invasion of Iraq, I wrote The Greatness of George W. Bush which ended as follows,

When you realize the change in world affairs that Bush has undertaken, in the face of enormous pressure from the EU, all the Arab states, Russia, China, the State Department, the media, academia and big business, you see in stark relief, the greatness of George W. Bush. 9/11 changed everything.

With his decision to add more troops and to go on the offensive with respect to Iran, Bush is once again showing his greatness. Sure there have been zig zags and mistakes along the way, but in the end Bush is no quitter. He is flying in the face of Baker and the ISG Report. He is devoid of political capital and has lost support from his own party but he soldiers on. He is carrying the world on his shoulders. He is the world leader.
