WASHINGTON – Iran Air 744 is a bimonthly flight that originates in Tehran and flies directly to Caracas with periodic stops in Beirut and Damascus. The maiden flight was Feb. 2, 2007.

The mere existence of the flight was a significant concern for U.S. intelligence officials, but now a broader concern is who and what are aboard the flights.

“If you [a member of the public] tried to book yourself a seat on this flight and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a week before, a month before, six months before — you’ll never find a place to sit there,” says Offer Baruch, a former Israeli Shin Bet agent.

Baruch, now vice president of operations for International Shield, a security firm in Texas, says the plane is reserved for Iranian agents, including “Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) and other intelligence personnel.”

Current and former U.S. intelligence official fear the flight is a shadowy way to move people and weapons to locations in Latin America that can be used as staging points for retaliatory attacks against the U.S. or its interests in the event Iranian nuclear sites are struck by U.S. or Israeli military forces.

“My understanding is that this flight not only goes from Caracas to Damascus to Tehran perhaps twice a month, but it also occasionally makes stops in Lebanon as well, and the passengers on that flight are not processed through normal Venezuelan immigrations or customs. They are processed separately when they come into the country,” says Peter Brookes, senior fellow for National Security Affairs at the Heritage Foundation.

The 16-hour flight typically leaves Tehran and stops at Damascus International Airport (DAM), which is Syria’s busiest. In 2009, almost 4.5 million passengers used the airport.

After a 90-minute layover, the flight continues the remaining 14 hours to Venezuela’s Caracas Maiquetía International Airport (CCS). Upon arrival, the plane is met by special Venezuelan forces and sequestered from other arrivals.

“It says that something secretive or clandestine is going on that they don’t want the international community to know about,” says Brookes, a former deputy assistant defense secretary for Asian and Pacific Affairs and CIA employee.

“The fact that there is a flight is of course of interest, but the fact that not anybody can gain access to this flight or buy a ticket for that flight is of particular curiosity and should be of concern to the United States.”

In addition to speculation about who is aboard, there are significant concerns that the Boeing 747SP airplane might be transporting uranium to Tehran on the return flight. The U.S. government has enacted strong sanctions against Iran because of its nuclear program and there are worries the flight might provide an opportunity to skirt the embargo against materials that might be used for the program.

“Clearly, Iran has been a sponsor of Hezbollah, and clearly Hezbollah profits from this relationship,” former CIA Director Michael J. Hayden says.

“It would be too much to say that Hezbollah is a puppet of the Iranian state, but one way of looking at this relationship is that the Iranian state might rely on Hezbollah as a strategic weapon — its weapon for global reach.”

Hayden, now a principle in the Chertoff Group, says the CIA has been aware of the activities for several years.

“Fundamentally, the thing that first and very solidly caught our attention at the Agency was the inauguration of direct air flight between the two capitals. Here was a conduit that people could travel from Iran into the Western Hemisphere, into Latin America in a way that would be very difficult for American intelligence services to detect and to understand.

“Right there at that very simple level, just the direct flight is something that we would be and should be concerned about.”

Brookes says the passengers “may not even need visas because they are special passengers. That obviously is of concern because there is no transparency about who the people are coming in and going out of the country. Of course there is concern that these folks may be Iranian special agents.”

Beyond concerns about Iranian intelligence flooding the west, Brookes and others worry that Iranian special advisers are schooling the Venezuelan military and may be involved in plans to move Iranian agents inside the U.S.

“It’s certainly a possibility. Would the agents that come into Venezuela be able to find their way to the United States? That’s certainly possible. You see the drug smugglers today using submersibles to move drugs to the U.S. and other parts of the Caribbean which is a real challenge. So why wouldn’t they be able to do the same with persons?”

A U.S. official who spoke on the condition of anonymity says there are concerns about the relationships between Iran and Venezuela, but you have to keep it in perspective.

“The problems both countries face internally, and their own regional priorities closer to home, limit the amount of trouble they can cause together. But it’s something you have to watch, whether it’s the potential for government-to-government mischief or the possibility of something involving Iran’s friends like Hezbollah.

“You can ask what a self-proclaimed Bolivarian socialist has in common with a bunch of theocratic thugs in Iran. The answer is ‘not much,’ beyond a taste for repression and a shared desire to make life difficult for the United States and its allies.”

On Friday, the next flight is expected to take off. While U.S. intelligence may be able to track the flight, there appears to be little more they can legally do to determine what or who is on board.

“American intelligence services have a lot of things on their plate. The fact that I can tell you that we’re really interested in that direct flight tells you that it was on our scope — something that we are sensitive to,” Hayden says. “Are we doing enough about it? I would have to say ‘no,’ because it’s a very challenging menu that American intelligence has to deal with.”

In a statement, the State Department says, “Nations have the right to enter into cooperative relationships with other nations.”

Neither the Iranian nor the Venezuelan governments responded to request for reaction before this article was published.

The Ted Kennedy moral whitewash peaks today

The Ted Kennedy moral whitewash peaks today

Thomas Lifson
Today marks the high point of Ted Kennedy’s memory. The media’s lavish coverage of his funeral and burial day will be full of praise for the departed. But underneath the thin coating of whitewash lie some ugly incontrovertible facts which will not go away.

Mark Steyn has penned an unblinking yet witty look at the facts surrounding Chappaquiddick and the media, mocking Kennedy’s media enablers and the man they helped.  The distinct contrast between the line being fed by the media since Kennedy died and the widely known reality of the man has aggravated me, and I suspect millions of others who resent honoring a man of this moral character. There is an appetite building for the other side of the story, since the one we are getting is so obviously phony to at least half the populace.

Once Kennedy is buried, we will see another battle between the mainstream media and the conservative alternative media over his memory. The story of Kennedy’s offer to the KGB to work against President Reagan, 26 years ago, is only now capturing the public’s attention. AT contributor Paul Kengor uncovered the KGB documents and published them in his book The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism. Tomorrow in AT, he will present those documents online and write about the media blackout on his findings first published three and half years ago.

The sugarcoating of Kennedy has started to make a lot of conservatives’ teeth ache. The MSM left is going to demonize anyone remembering the dark side, but I doubt they will be able to quell the public interest in this new story. Kennedy is about to be laid to rest on scared ground, in Arlington Memorial Cemetary. As Rick Moran points out today in AT, a single source document is not dispositive. But it is real, and it is suggestive of the dark side of Kennedy. There may well be further informnation coming to light on his past.

Conservatives should prepare themselves to be called monstrous, unfeeling, angry, unseemly, and worse, simply because we refuse to buy into the media manufacturing of a false image for this man. The question of whether or not he conspired with our enemies against the President of the United States is a major issue, and Professor Kengor has presented his impressive documentation, some of which you will see here tomorrow.

The MSM has lost its ability to quarantine a story. They tried to sell the Democrats’ line that town hall attendees were Nazis, and only damaged themselves and the Democrats in the process. If the media wishes to demionize those who want to know the truth about the deeply flawed man they are all but canonizing today, I suspect it will not work much better. Face it: wagering your dimisnished reputation on Teddy’s virtue is a loser’s bet.

Islam’s Reality – A glimpse into the life of non-Muslims under Islamic oppression

Islam’s Reality – A glimpse into the life of non-Muslims under Islamic oppression

An Update on our previous posting: Islam’s Reality, And It’s not A Show – What You See Is What Islam Have In Store For You

Are muslims residing in the West, different from their co-religionists and relatives in their native countries?

This report adds more incite to previous analysis, here, and here, about the threats and confrontation resulting from the islamic governments strategy of mosques-building in the West. Nazism was defeated in Germany, Communism was defeated, the Berlin wall was brought down, and east and west Europe found peace. Now we are confronted and threatened by “the islamic wall,” that divided the world into #1 masters, and #2 slaves being erected everywhere around us. The most evil legacy of a global murderous cult, founded by the biggest thug, self proclaimed prophet. No criminal organization in history popularized the word “killing” globally, to the point of making it a universal daily cultural banality, except muslims, for which the word “killing” is by itself the resume of their culture and history.

Give any first grader muslim child in any islamic country just two words, “Death for…,” and ask him to fill the dots with all what he learned. he will fill the whole page.

The most terrifying thing in Geert Wilders koran movie, was not 911, London, Madrid, or the beheadings, but the three year old girl filled with hate towards the Jews, the sons of apes and pigs. Certainely she would’ve said the same think about the Christian kafirs, since that’s what she hears all day long, whether at school or from the mosque’s loudspeakers. Let me repeat it, this is the most terrifying thing in the whole movie. And for those who don’t know, this girl is the daughter of a known Egyptian actor (not a Hamas jihadist), Mohamed El Arabi. It can’t get more moderate mainstream than this.

In this report you’ll see how in islamic majority countries, the majority of muslims (which by the way includes the moderate mainstream) feel no mea culpa to intimidate, oppress, persecute, humiliate, and kill Christians (who are the native people of the country). That includes looting their homes, and businesses, destroying their churches and properties, kidnaping and raping their baby girls and women. To emulate and keep up with their thug prophet tradition, that was, and still is the only motivation to attack people under the beard of a “religion.”

Now think of this, all muslim immigrants in the West are the products of this culture, or rather this criminal culture, which by comparison makes a bacteria culture more appealing and safer.

In other words, these muslims that came to the West from islamic majority countries were also part, whether active or passive, of the mainstream majority oppressors, intimidators, persecutors, destroyers, looters, rapists, and killers. It’s no coincidence that all sorts of criminality starting by rape, increases in the West wherever there is muslims concentrations. The high percentage of muslims in western jails, in comparison to their total population percentage speaks for itself.

The majority of these muslims that came to West, are, not only filled with the same thuggish and criminal teaching which is the legacy of their thug prophet that was sent ” Mercy to the Worlds,” but actually proud of it and boast about it.

The proofs are very easy to demonstrate:

Ask every muslim you meet, what he thinks of koran 9:29, which states that non muslims should convert, pay the jeziah and be humiliated, or be killed, and let us know the percentage of muslims that disapprove it. If he gives you the classic 3:28 deception of, “this verse was for war time” answer, ask him, where he sees the talk of war in the verse. And when he tells you the jeziah was a tax, like in any country, ask him if he is humiliated, and hit on the back head by the IRS when he pays his taxes in America or in any western country. But even when he acts muslim, as usual, like a soap bubble hard to catch, you got your proof of his pride, and the thuggish teaching  embedded in him. He would even be making a silent prayer while talking to you, asking allah for the day to come when he can apply that verse on you.

Another proof, All these muslims in the West that are shouting, jumping up and down, screaming and defending the rights of “Their” muslim Palestinian brothers, that are supposedly being oppressed by the Israelis. Did you ever hear them addressing their relatives, brothers and sisters in the islamic countries to stop their criminal behavior towards the native Christian citizens, and to treat them equally? Even their activism on behalf of “Their” Palestinian brothers, exclude the Christian Palestinians that are being ethnically cleansed by none other than the muslim Palestinians, which resulted in an exodus of the Christian Palestinians to the West.

Did you hear muslims in the West being outraged when their palestinian brothers bombed churches, the YMCA, and the Christian library in Gaza and killing the Christians in charge? Were muslims in the West outraged by the bombing of churches, killing of bishops and priests in Iraq? Did we ever hear Egyptian muslims in the West outrage for the atrocities committed by their Egyptian relatives to the Christians of Egypt? Did you see muslims in the West being outraged, or ashamed for any criminality caused by “Their” muslim brothers and sisters, period?

I can cite many other proofs, but that’s already plenty to demonstrate that muslims in the West, don’t have a different mindset than the thuggish mindset of their co-religionists relatives in their countries of origin. Or let’s put it this way, muslims in the West that takes pride in the thug that elevated killing, raping, and hate to the level of religion, has themselves demonstrated that no proofs are necessary. Simply put, their pride is in their shame.

In our Arabic Islamic debate forums, which are the biggest forums on Paltalk.com, with an audience capacity of thousands of people, we have the opportunity of debating, non stop, arab muslims from all over the world. The shocking reality is, the biggest majority of the ones residing in the West are the most radical, most threatening, and all the ones that were arrested for terrorism on Paltalk were residing in the West.

The purpose of saying this, and this report, is not meant to make you cry on the fate of the Christians, whether in Egypt, or in every muslims dominated country, but to spare you the same fate.

One last question, but that’s for you to meditate on, and answer it for yourself after reading the report. Do you think the oppressed and massacred Christians in muslims dominated countries have the luxury of accusing their oppressors and murderers of being islamists, or ask if the moderates mainstream exist, and where are they, or count on their support to gain equal rights, or even to stop the stream of daily insults? Again, this is not meant to get you out of your way for the persecuted Christians, but it’s meant to let you know the real deal islam have in store for you.
