Word of the Day: Dhimmitude

Word of the Day: Dhimmitude     Very interesting information.

Had never heard the word until now—Type it into Google and start Reading: Pretty interesting.  Note that Muslims and certain other religions are exempt from the Obama care penalties and it is supported by law.  We are surrendering from within!  The boy is leading us right down the path to total control!
Word of the Day: Dhimmitude    Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-Muslim populations conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to islam.
The ObamaCare bill is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be “gambling”, “risk-taking” and “usury” and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this. How convenient. So I, Ann Barnhardt, a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivables, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize muslims. Period. This is Dhimmitude.
Dhimmitude serves two purposes: it enriches the muslim masters AND serves to drive conversions to islam. In this case, the incentive to convert to islam will be taken up by those in the inner-cities as well as the godless Generation X, Y and Z types who have no moral anchor. If you don’t believe in Christ to begin with, it is no problem whatsoever to sell Him for 30 pieces of silver. “Sure, I’ll be a muslim if it meansfree health insurance and no taxes. Where do I sign, bro?”
I recommend sending this post to your contacts. This is desperately important and people need to know about it – quickly.

Due To Mexicans, Feds In Arizona Taking On More Drug Cases While Number Drops In Rest Of Country

Due To Mexicans, Feds In Arizona Taking On More Drug Cases While Number Drops In Rest Of Country

May 13th, 2010 Posted By Pat Dollard.

Fox News:

In the first four months of this fiscal year, drug prosecutions in Arizona have jumped 202 percent since 2008 while the rest of the country has seen a 17 percent drop, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), which oversees federal law-enforcement programs.

As the number of drug prosecutions falls across the country, Arizona is confronting a remarkable surge in drug cases — despite getting extra help from the Feds.

In the first four months of this fiscal year, drug prosecutions in Arizona have jumped 202 percent since 2008, while the rest of the country has seen a 17 percent drop, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), which oversees federal law-enforcement programs.

Of nearly 16,000 federal prosecutions of drug charges estimated for 2010, a 12 percent decline from the previous year, Arizona will account for more than 2,274, a 36 percent hike from the year earlier, according to TRAC.

But federal prosecutors, who are struggling to cope with a rapid rise in immigration cases along the Southwest border, turn down prosecutions in Arizona more than anywhere else in the country, despite an increase in funding and staffing and looser restrictions on when they can help.

The U.S. attorney’s office in Tucson, which accounts for the highest number of drug cases among all four Arizona offices, increased its staff to 145 last year, from 110 in 2008, and it reached 149 by the end of March. And federal prosecutors in Arizona last year dropped its policy of declining to press charges against suspects caught with less than 500 pounds of contraband.

But last year, federal prosecutors turned down 1,368 prosecutions, and are on pace to deny 1,287 cases this year, an increase of 113 percent from 2008 when there were 603 rejections.

Federal prosecutors, in turning down cases, commonly cite a lack of prosecutorial or investigative resources available to their office for handling the matter.

“The large number of drug cases being turned away suggests that there are serious stresses on some federal prosecutor offices,” the report read. “A likely major source for these strains is the powerful flood of immigrations that has washed over the region.”

A spokesman for the U.S. attorney in Arizona told FoxNews.com that the report can be “misleading” because the rise in drug cases is a result of federal prosecutors taking on more prosecutions after receiving more resources from the Justice Department.

“In reality, we are taking more drug cases than ever before, and working in partnership with state and local agencies to make progress,” spokesman Wyn Hornbuckle told FoxNews.com.

U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke told Congress last month that his office has been taking on more cases since it dropped its requirement last year of only handling cases where a bust resulted in 500 pounds or more of confiscated contraband.

Local officials are thankful that federal prosecutors are accepting more federally-related cases.

Amelia Cramer, Pima County’s chief deputy attorney, told FoxNews.com that her office, which oversees Tucson among other cities, received roughly 900 referrals last year that were declined by federal prosecutors. In the first four months of this year, that number had dropped to three.

“We’re pleased that the federal prosecutor’s office is able to handle all the federally related cases now,” she said. But she added that the policy shift has not resulted in a lighter workload.

“Our office budget due to the state of the economy has been slashed,” she said. “And we have a very difficult time keeping up with the workload.”

The Alarmist Presidency

The Alarmist Presidency

There’s a school of thought among conservatives and libertarians that liberals knowingly seed and fertilize phony crises in order to cultivate even more big government. While I don’t wholly discount that point of view, I think the sky-is-falling mentality that permeates the Obama administration’s approach to environmental issues is more the result of living within the liberal echo chamber for so long.

Environmentalists and their Democrat allies spent eight years screaming that the Bush administration and corporate America were destroying the environment and putting our lives at risk. Having been handed the keys of state, Obama naturally embraces those voices that offer “solutions” to a problem that never actually existed. Democrats being Democrats, those solutions naturally involve benevolent government intervention.

It’s a chicken and egg argument in any case. Does the liberal desire for socialism consciously create phony problems, or does it merely exploit crackpot ideas that fit in with the program? Either way, this administration hasn’t yet met an environmental “crisis” it isn’t willing to address by rolling up its sleeves and getting down to the dirty work of drawing up more rules that will protect the ignorant masses who have been exploited by big businesses for so long. The latest example of this phenomenon is a report from the President’s Cancer Panel [1] which attributes cancer to the supposed poisoning of America. Entitled “Reducing Environmental Cancer Risk: What We Can Do Now,” the report was prepared by a couple of academics: LaSalle D. Leffall, Jr., M.D. of the Howard University College of Medicine and Margaret L. Kripke, Ph.D. of the University of Texas. A couple of paragraphs from the letter that accompanies the report, signed by Leffall and Kripke, gives you the flavor:

“The Panel was particularly concerned to find that the true burden of environmentally induced cancer has been grossly underestimated. With nearly 80,000 chemicals on the market in the United States, many of which are used by millions of Americans in their daily lives and are un- or understudied and largely unregulated, exposure to potential environmental carcinogens is widespread. One such ubiquitous chemical, bisphenol A (BPA), is still found in many consumer products and remains unregulated in the United States, despite the growing link between BPA and several diseases, including various cancers.

Environmental exposures that increase the national cancer burden do not represent a new front in the ongoing war on cancer. However, the grievous harm from this group of carcinogens has not been addressed adequately by the National Cancer Program. The American people—even before they are born—are bombarded continually with myriad combinations of these dangerous exposures. The Panel urges you most strongly to use the power of your office to remove the carcinogens and other toxins from our food, water, and air that needlessly increase health care costs, cripple our Nation’s productivity, and devastate American lives.”

When somebody trots out bisphenol A as their showpiece problem, what follows isn’t going to be pretty. The evidence linking BPA to adverse health effects of any kind is remarkably weak [2], much less to cancer. But this is a chemophobic administration and Leffall and Kripke dutifully deliver a report that raises chemophobia to new heights. The report was so hysterical and full of unsubstantiated conjecture that even the American Cancer Society rolled their eyes. Consider this from a New York Times’ piece [3] that was surprisingly critical of the Cancer Panel’s report:

“Dr. Michael Thun, an epidemiologist from the cancer society, said in an online statement [4] that the report was “unbalanced by its implication that pollution is the major cause of cancer,” and had presented an unproven theory — that environmentally caused cases are grossly underestimated — as if it were a fact.”

Leffall and Kripke’s underlying assumption – that the 80,000 chemicals in use in America are “unregulated or virtually unregulated” – is utter nonsense. Every chemical is evaluated by the EPA as part of the Agency’s obligations under the Toxic Substances Control Act [5] (TSCA) in order to determine if the chemical presents a possible threat to the environment or human health. If the Agency determines that there is a potential problem, it is charged with regulating said chemical appropriately. Further, the vast majority of those 80,000 chemicals are used in small quantities and could not therefore effect the environment on a macroscopic scale in any case. The EPA goes beyond the requirements of TSCA when it comes to the 3,000 or so chemicals that are used in large quantities. The Agency has gathered and continues to gather even more information on the health and safety effects under its “High Production Volume [6]” chemicals program.

Beyond that, we have EPA rules covering chemical discharges to the air, to surface water, to ground water and in the soil. We’ve got OSHA, NIOSH and the American Conference of Governmental and Industrial Hygienists, all of whom spend a great deal of time looking at the effects of chemicals on human health and environment. Rather than proposing new studies, new restrictions and new regulations, Leffall and Kripke would do better to propose a study that would study the huge pile of studies we already have. That would serve the dual purposes of keeping academics happily engaged in a pointless task, and allowing the rest of us could to avoid further benevolence from Big Brother.

We haven’t even gotten to cap and trade yet and already Obama’s EPA is working up the most restrictive air quality standards in history, creating new ways to regulate vast swaths of oceans, pushing for sweeping new stormwater regulations and now this. A rational president would take one look at the President’s Cancer Report and quietly deposit it in the circular file. But Barack Obama? This kind of hysterical alarmism is just the kind of excuse this president needs to regulate, well – everything.

Who Will Bail Out America?

Who Will Bail Out America?

May 13th, 2010

By Peter Ferrara, American Spectator

Social Security, Medicare and the retirement of the baby boom generation wasn’t enough of a burden for the American taxpayer. We will now be paying as well for the generous pensions of Greek bureaucrats retiring in the warm Mediterranean sun at age 55, thanks to the foresighted leadership of our very own international statesman, Barack Obama.

Just last year President Obama proposed, and his overwhelmingly Democrat Congress approved, an additional $100 billion line of credit from the USA to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). On Sunday, the IMF approved a contribution of $40 billion to the Greek bailout, with America voting yes for yet another raid on its own taxpayers.

But this is only the beginning. What the trillion dollar Euro bailout fund has done is to create the perverse incentives of Too Big to Fail for fiscally irresponsible Eurostates. Do those literally murderous Greek rioters look ready to accede to austerity budgets with massive tax increases and massive benefit cuts? Political leaders in the Mediterranean states in particular, faced with short-term financial and political pressures, will be too tempted to put off the pain a little longer, hoping that EU bailouts will save them in the end. Indeed, voters in Spain, Italy, Portugal, and elsewhere may well think they should get their share of those bailout funds too, voting out leaders who try to be responsible, and voting in the worst demagogues trying to take advantage of the situation to gain political power.

Imagine if each of the American states could run deficits with a federal bailout fund to back them up. Could we count on the voters of California, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and Illinois to support candidates promising crippling austerity budgets, with draconian benefit cuts and skyrocketing taxes, so they can do the responsible thing? This is the system the EU has just adopted. What that means is get ready for still more IMF bailouts financed by American taxpayers.

Johnny-come-lately McCain: The sickly smell of desperation

By Michelle Malkin  •  May 13, 2010 08:55 AM

John McCain is everywhere now preaching the gospel of secure borders. He’s inescapable. And shameless. And desperate.

Yesterday, readers forwarded his latest spam e-mail:

Where do you stand on border security?

My Friend,

One of the fundamental responsibilities of our government is to secure our borders so that our citizens, no matter where they live in our country, can be safe and secure.

Unfortunately, the Obama Administration and Democrats in Congress have not lived up to the federal government’s constitutional responsibility to secure our borders. So my Arizona colleague, Senator Jon Kyl and I introduced a 10-Point Border Security Plan to secure our border with Mexico against illegal immigration, human smuggling, drug trafficking and the brutal violence associated with the drug cartels.

I’d like to know what you think about our nation’s border security and that is why I have put together the 2010 Border Security Survey. I ask that you take a few moments to fill out this survey by following this link.

I believe we must take action because the fact is clear that our border is not secure and nearly half of all illegal immigrants enter through the Arizona/Mexico corridor. As I told Sean Hannity on his show, our southern border is broken in Arizona and action is needed. Our federal government has not devoted the resources necessary to secure the border and the result has been escalating violence and increased numbers of illegal aliens entering our country.

The President says he wants to address the issue, but so far he has not taken action. He has not devoted the resources necessary to secure our border, so we are calling for real action and resources as outlined in our 10-Point Plan.

As a long-time supporter, I ask that you share your opinion about this crucial security issue through our 2010 Border Security Survey. Your urgent response will enable me to gather the information necessary to show support for secure borders is widespread across America.

Please take the 2010 Border Security Survey today.

Border security is key to keeping our homeland safe. We have seen the violence from drug cartels and drug smugglers skyrocket. It is only a matter of time before even more violence pours over our border into the United States. I believe the key to securing our borders is providing the necessary federal resources to do so effectively and efficiently.

And this is exactly what the 10-Point Plan will do. Please take the time to learn more about the plan and take our short, 9-question survey by following this link. Your time and opinions are truly appreciated. Thank you.

Sincerely,

John McCain

P.S. As a result of the Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats’ failure to take action to secure the US/Mexico border, Senator Jon Kyl and I have introduced a 10-Point Border Security Plan. I want to know what you think about border security, so I have put together the 2010 Border Security Survey. I ask that you take a few minutes today to fill it out by following this link. Thank you.

John McCain is not our “friend.”

Reader Dan’s reaction to the spam e-mail:

Dear MM,

I just received an email from John McCain. The subject line reads: “Where do you stand on border security?”

HE’S asking ME where I stand???

Snort.

And reader R’s response:

Michelle:

As a proud naturalized American, words to express my nausea, anger and disgust at Republicans like McCain and Graham who for years have helped the Democrats stymie effective border security and internal enforcement provisions are hard to come by. Legal Immigrants such as my family and I are the ones most profoundly harmed by amnesty provisions and special considerations advocated for illegal aliens by these feckless politicians.

Now McCain finds himself in the primary fight of his life he is desperately tacking Right. The attached email merits a 12+ on the Christ/Specter political opportunism scale. McCain was a weak and ineffectual presidential candidate entirely because he made a career of offending the conservative base of the GOP-in particular his squishiness on illegal immigration. I remember making GOTV calls in the days leading up to the 2008 election and having wobbliness on this and other conservative “non-negotiables” thrown in my face to justify that voter’s absence from the polls as I desperately tried to warn them of what was about to happen with the election of Obama.

I came from Canada, I’ve seen another radical, charismatic Marxist in my life in the form of Pierre Elliot Trudeau – Canada’s communist sympathizing Prime Minister during the 1970’s. In only 10 years or so, he launched Canada inexorably down the path to big government socialism. Obama gave me and others who have seen socialism up close (and fled) the same totalitarian vibe folks like Trudeau gave off – and that scared the bejeebers out of us. Try telling that to Americans who had no concept of the threat or the stakes and who were so tired of being taken for granted by the likes of McCain. RINO’s like him have destroyed the credibility of the GOP and I am not sure given all the Upside Down Elephant posts you keep putting up that that message has sunk in just yet…

I can’t express my utter contempt any better than Allahpundit did here in response to Johnny-come-lately’s shameless new border enforcement ad:

I don’t know what to say, guys. I’m genuinely speechless. Pandering is one thing, shameless careerist pandering is something else, and then there’s John “Goddamned Fence” McCain marching along the border in a badass Navy baseball cap looking like he could choke out a coyote with his bare hands. And you know what? If he thought he’d get a few points’ bounce from it, I bet he’d do it too. How long before he’s spotted on the trail wearing a “Viva Los 1070″ t-shirt?

Yep, now he’s wrapping himself in the very same border fence he was cursing during his presidential campaign in the company of liberal Vanity Fair reporters.

The man who proudly named Soros-funded, open-borders radical Juan Hernandez as his Hispanic Outreach Director is now traipsing around with the Border Patrol promising to fix the fence he cursed and make Americans safe. After trashing immigration enforcement activists as nativists for years, he’s now “one of us:”

I honestly don’t know how anyone who has him on to talk about immigration enforcement can get through an interview with him and keep a straight face.

It’s political Kabuki on steroids.
