Will America Survive Islamofascisim?

Will America Survive Islamofascisim?

Thursday, 01 April 2010
Nearly 1400 years ago, a large number of Muslim jihadists from across the scorching Arabian desert, motivated by the ideology of Islam,  indoctrinated by Muhammad, unafraid of death, conquered Iran (Persia), one of the greatest, strongest and most tolerant empires known throughout the history of man. The Bedouin Arabs who toppled the Sassanid Empire were propelled not only by a desire for conquest and to steal Persian Jewels and treasures, and also to enslave Iranian women and children, while imposing their barbaric ideology upon the entire population. With that, they almost destroyed one of the most benevolent religions of all humanity, Zoroastrianism, often called the mother of all revealed religions.
The political nature of Islam demanded that a conquered people, not only convert to Islam but also to regard its past history as a time of darkness before the light of Islam came. Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is busy purging Pre-Islamic Persian history from children text-books. Islam required conquered people to scorn their own past and love their Islamic Arab conquerors by striving to imitate them. According to Islam, all history before Islam was an era of “darkness” and should be discarded.

The prophet of Islam
motivated his rapidly growing body of followers to rally around him by proclaiming: if they are victorious they will have the treasures of the infidels as well as their women and children as slaves to hold or sell; if the faithful kill the infidels in doing the work of Allah, further reward awaits them in paradise; and, in the unlikely event that they are killed, they find themselves in Allah’s glorious paradise for eternal life of joy and bliss. The Persians underestimated the power and dedication of this newly formed Islamic ideology of hate and vigilance by the desert dwellers. Their unorthodox attack on Persian army caused the Persian army to fall into the hands of the butchers of Islam and eventually the culture of death prevailed and the era of Islamic terrorism began.Islam once again, 1400 years later, flushed by petrodollars, is seeking world domination through worldwide Islamic terrorism. It is seeking the destruction of everything in the world that is good, and intends to replace it with the most barbaric ideology known as Sharia law. Islam sees Christian America as a formidable enemy standing in its path of world-domination. Hence, it has waged stealth jihad on Christian America.

In many surprising ways America resembles the great ancient Persian Empire. Like the ancient Persians who were the first world managers and the most tolerant empire-builders, America, by its constitution, is also the most tolerant and benevolent nation in the world.  Is America’s destiny will end up like the Persians?

Reading about the Islamic religiously mandated horrific acts and even seeing them on television or the Internet may momentarily repulse, but does not terribly concern many Americans. After all, those things still are happening on the other side of the world and away from their homes, we are safe in fortress America, so goes the thinking. Wrong!

“Fortress America” is a delusion that even the events of 9/11and Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan massacre seem to have failed to dispel. Many prefer to believe that the assault of 9/11 was an aberration, since nothing like it has happened again, and it is unlikely that anything of the sort will ever happen again, so goes the wishful thinking. The reality portrays a vastly different picture. America is far from a fortress, given its vast wide-open borders. It is a nation of laws where all forms of freedom are enshrined in its constitution; where Americans live by humane ethos diametrically different from those of Islamist savagery. Sadly, these differences confer great advantage to the Islamists and place America in imminent danger.

The breach of “Fortress America” from the air on 9/11 is only the first installment of many more forthcoming heinous assaults, about which we have been repeatedly warned by Muslim thugs living in caves.  Unless we abandon our way of thinking, we will suffer the consequences of a dangerous complacency. We need to stop relying on the invincibility of the law-enforcement people and willingly make the sacrifices that would protect our way of life.

I have never claimed that the reported 1.2 billion Muslims are all jihadists aiming to destroy civilization and establish Muhammad’s Ummah over all of us. I certainly know that the active jihadists are a small minority. Yet, it takes a blind eye to ignore militant minorities. Did Hitler become the Chancellor of Germany because he and his gang got the majority vote in Germany? More than 65% of Germans were not supporters of Hitler and his party and viewed the Nazis as louts and worthless. Yet, we all know what this little minority did while being ignored.

What about forest fires? You cannot ignore a little smoldering fire here, a little smoldering fire there because the rest of the forest is not on fire. Only a fool will ignore these fires, because they will eventually devour the forest.

Now, wishful thinking and being optimistic on the basis of some evidence here and some evidence there is the way some people prefer to deal with the Islamic threat. In the process, they tell us how some Muslim Turkish officers are working to combat Islamic terrorists or how some Pakistanis are also helping the West. Surely these folks don’t want to look at the horrors of this “minority” in places such as Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and every other Islamic country.

A longstanding Islamic practice is to be meek while weak and assume despotic intolerant power as it gains strength. Recent migration of Muslims to non-Islamic lands began as a seemingly harmless, even useful, trickle of cheap needed labor. Before long, greater and greater numbers of Muslims deluged the new territories and as they gained in numbers—by high birth rate as well as new arrivals—Muslims began reverting to their intolerant ways by, for instance, demanding legal status for Sharia (Islamic laws), the type of draconian laws that for the most part resemble those of man’s barbaric past.

Just a sobering note; mild Islamism is already here. As an example, there is the Muslim cab driver of the Minneapolis Airport’s refusal to ferry passengers with alcohol or even those with seeing-eye dogs, Muslim inmates demanding to be served only halal food, Kentucky Fried Chicken opens first halal restaurant in New York City, honor killing, Muslim students badgering universities for special facilities for their meetings, and, for the first time ever Muslim Congressman’s assuming the office by swearing on the Quran and not the Bible.

Islam need not even literally destroy the civilized world. All it needs is to gain enough power to impose its worse than death Sharia on everyone. If you are not up to speed with the horrors that Muslim governments and their jihadist foot-soldiers commit on a daily basis, you need to open your eyes and deal with this deadly threat of Islam with much more realism.

“Hitler knew that it would be an easy matter to transform the skilled, young glider aviators into fighter and bomber pilots. As the Mullahs and Ahmadinejad know today that once they have enough enriched uranium, have the missile tested out for their range and have other building blocks of nuclear technology in place with uranium enrichment, it would be a walkover to a nuclear weapons suite to blackmail and then destroy the civilized world,” while the rest of the world is snoozing.

Ignoring the smoldering fire and relying on a few local “firefighters” to keep the fires from spreading is either naive or outright criminal. But it is certainly the easiest thing to do. That’s why I have chosen to fight the fire and I am calling for help to put out Islam, the source that raises arsonists — the minority that they may be. It takes one arsonist to set a fire that a thousand firefighters will have difficulty putting out, right? The few Muslims who are brave enough to advocate reform of their religion are tossed out of mosques or, very likely, much worse.

When our leaders, for instance, call Islam a great religion, they are appeasing, if not lying outright. We the people elect our leaders and we hold them accountable to be honorable: using their voice to call a great religion a most deadly threat to everything we cherish as a great religion legitimizes Islamofascisim, on the one hand, and infuses the rest of us with a false belief.

In this relentless campaign, the Islamists have a vast cadre of “experts,” “talking heads,” and for-purchase politicians who keep endlessly broadcasting the false mantra that Islam is a religion of peace. This latter bunch is criminally complicit in making the populace complacent and furthering the work of the Islamists.

While President Obama glorifies Islam, the barbarians have made it inside our fortress. They have infiltrated our system of government. This time around, the people of the sword have their collaborator, Useful Idiots, inside busily doing all they can to dismantle our republic and replace it with the tyrannical Islamofascisim by appeasing our enemy.

Lt.-Col. (ret.) Ralph Peters, military analyst,” was asked to explain why he felt American-Israeli friendship appears to have been derailed so dramatically. “The answer is two words,” he said. “President Obama.”

US Mil. Analyst: Obama is the First Anti-Israeli President
by Hillel Fendel

Lt.-Col. (ret.) Ralph Peters, military analyst and author of a book on Middle East politics, says Obama apparently has a chip on his shoulder against Israel – and it’s not “helpful to our civilization.”

Peters, who wrote “Endless War: Middle Eastern Islam vs. Western Civilization,” was asked to explain why he felt American-Israeli friendship appears to have been derailed so dramatically. “The answer is two words,” he said. “President Obama.”

“Obama’s treatment of [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu [during their recent meeting in Washington] was disgraceful and shameful,” Peters told FoxNews. “We treat our enemies with greater courtesy! In addition, it was counter-productive – because this vendetta on the part of the White House against Israel – all it does is encourage the Palestinians and their Arab backers to make ever wilder demands that Israel cannot possibly fulfill. This is not a peace process; this is something about a chip on the President’s shoulder.”

Peters says that Obama’s approach is “absolutely” a departure from past American policy. “It all started with Obama’s Cairo speech,” he said, “where Obama attempted to appease radical Muslims in the Middle East, cold-shouldered Israel, and raised Palestinian expectations that he’d take care of Israel and that the Palestinians would get their revenge. Secondly, in the past, under Presidents Clinton and Bush, there were face-to-face negotiations; the Palestinians were offered one deal after another, and it was always – always! – the Palestinians who walked away.”

Obama Refuses to Recognize the Basic Equation

The American animosity towards Israel “is not about housing in Jerusalem or anything else,” Peters emphasized. “We need to back up and get a little wide-angle picture and recognize the fundamental issue in play here: Israel wants to live in peace with its neighbors, and its neighbors want Israel destroyed. The President refuses to understand that.” [NOTE: Maybe he understands but doesn’t care.]

“It’s become a credo of the left-wing that Israel is always the oppressor,” Peters continued, “and that the Palestinian terrorists are freedom fighters, etc. … Obama’s mother is extremely left, his university chums are on the left, he spent 20 years with the Rev. Wright – all of their doctrines say that the Palestinians are wonderful and that the Israelis are basically Nazis… I think that the President has gotten that by osmosis… This is our first anti-Israeli President; it’s bewildering and astonishing.”

Peters said that Israel is not perfect: “This is not a question of giving in to everything that Israel wants; Israel screws up too. But [American policy must] be a balanced approach that takes into account that Israel, for all its many faults is the only rule of law, democracy and respecter of human rights in the entire Middle East; they are part of our civilization. To turn away from Israel as we are doing is not going to help our diplomacy; it is going to hurt our civilization

Via Weasel Zippers, a clip that’s destined to be viral by tomorrow morning. Even so, go easy on him. Yes, he was an Iraq defeatist, and granted, he demagogued Joe Wilson’s outburst in the scummiest way imaginable, but he’s also a guy with a serious illness that affects his mind (“he regularly gets lost in thought in the middle of a discussion”). Although if that’s what’s going on here, a polite question for Madam Speaker arises: What’s he doing at these hearings instead of resting?

You may also remember Johnson as the man who beat Cynthia McKinney in the 2006 primary. All things considered, I think I still prefer him to her. Barely.

Gallup: GOP moves ahead of Democrats on generic Congressional ballot

Steny Hoyer keeps talking about how ObamaCare will create a wave of voter support for Democrats in the mid-term elections, but the evidence makes him more Baghdad Bob than Michael Barone.  Gallup becomes the latest pollster to find that the Republicans have moved ahead of Democrats on the generic Congressional ballot — and this time among registered rather than likely voters (via Andrew Malcolm):

Registered voters now say they prefer the Republican to the Democratic candidate in their district by 47% to 44% in the midterm congressional elections, the first time the GOP has led in 2010 election preferences since Gallup began weekly tracking of these in March.

The March 22-28 results were obtained after the U.S. House’s passage of landmark healthcare reform legislation on March 21. The shift toward Republicans raises the possibility that the healthcare bill had a slightly negative impact on the Democrats’ political fortunes in the short run. …

A Republican advantage among all registered voters in midterm elections has been rare in Gallup’s 60-year history of tracking congressional voting preferences, happening only a few times each in the 1950, 1994, and 2002 election cycles — all years in which Republicans had strong Election Day showings.

As Gallup notes in its write-up, the registered voter sample type does not have the best predictive model for upcoming elections.  Republicans tend to turn out in greater percentages, which is why pollsters like Rasmussen tend to stick with likely-voter samples and why their polls tend to do better at predictions.  Even in years where the GOP trailed Democrats on these polls, they made gains in Congress.  The metric before this year was to pull within the margin of error, three or four points down, in order to get the signal for a good year.  With the GOP moving ahead, it looks like a coming landslide.

Gallup also notes that this trend started after the passage of ObamaCare.  Why did voters turn away from Democrats after their big legislative win of the session?  A poll yesterday by Gallup provides the explanation:

Proponents, as well as opponents, of the new healthcare reform law think the legislation is less than perfect. Both groups agree that the bill didn’t do enough to deal with rising healthcare costs. Apart from this, however, they perceive very different types of flaws.

Forty-seven percent of Americans polled by USA Today/Gallup March 26-28 say it is a good thing the plan passed, while 50% call it a bad thing.

Three-quarters of the “good thing” group believe the law should include a government-run insurance plan, or public option. Also, 6 in 10 (59%) say it doesn’t go far enough in regulating the healthcare industry.

These findings — in particular the large majority still desiring a public option — could explain why more advocates of the reform bill do not feel “enthusiastic” about it. According to Gallup polling conducted immediately after passage, most supporters of the bill said they were “pleased” rather than “enthusiastic” (66% vs. 29%). By contrast, nearly as many opponents of the bill were “angry” as “disappointed” (46% vs. 52%).

Opponents of the plan — those calling passage a “bad thing” — are in near-total agreement that the bill goes too far in expanding the government’s role in the healthcare system and that it will cost the government too much.

Unfortunately for Democrats, the “bad thing” group still outstrips the “good thing” group, and that will continue to be the case while surprises like the menu mandate and throwing retirees into Medicare Plan D continue to arise.  The Democrats didn’t even get a bump for finally winning a vote in a Congress they have controlled entirely since 2007.  Instead, voters are unhappy with them for passing a bill they didn’t like.  If Steny Hoyer thinks that means a big win at the midterms, then perhaps his Maryland district should send him into retirement rather than leaving him to his delusions.

THE GREAT AWAKENING How tea partiers are setting a new course for America

It’s been touted as the hot new “third party” of American politics. It’s been demonized as a dangerous mob of extremists and racists. What it truly is, however, is nothing more nor less than the great awakening of the sleeping giant called Middle America.

“It,” of course, is the tea party movement, focus of April’s groundbreaking and inspiring issue of Whistleblower magazine, titled “THE GREAT AWAKENING: How tea partiers are setting a new course for America.”

Jolted awake by what can accurately be described as an aggressive socialist coup d’etat in Washington, D.C., millions of regular hard-working, tax-paying Americans are not only fully awake, but outraged at what they see as the unprecedented arrogance, corruption and deceit of the Obama administration and Congress.

Watching as their liberties are legislated out of existence, the grandchildren burdened with unpayable debt, and their nation “fundamentally transformed” into a European-style socialist welfare state is not something most Americans are willing to tolerate – especially since millions of them fought and bled, and many died, to halt the spread of the very same toxic ideology in distant lands.

And so they protest. And they march. And they confront their congressmen at town hall meetings. But that’s just the beginning.

In “THE GREAT AWAKENING,” Whistleblower delves into the tea party movement, where it’s headed, the obstacles it will encounter, and why it represents the best hope of defeating Team Obama’s relentless socialist revolution. It includes the advice of luminaries, from former Alaska governor Sarah Palin to former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, and features many powerful and inspiring articles and photos, including special features written exclusively for this issue of Whistleblower by Rep. Michelle Bachmann and Chuck Norris.

Issue highlights include:

  • “What’s the tea party all about?” by Joseph Farah
  • “A republic, if you can keep it” by Michele Bachmann, who honors tea party Americans for “choosing life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”
  • “America’s first tea party” – a look back at iconic patriots revolting against “taxation without representation”
  • “Go back to go forward” by Chuck Norris, who makes it clear that America’s greatest problem is that we have forgotten our roots
  • “Barack Obama and the date-rape of America” by David Kupelian, on what’s really behind the unprecedented corruption and abuse in Washington
  • “Full-scale rebellion ahead” by Henry Lamb, who says freedom-loving Americans are rising up to fulfill Thomas Jefferson’s dictum
  • “Palin: ‘America is ready for another revolution'” by Chelsea Schilling, in which the former Alaska governor warns us that Obama, Pelosi and Reid are totally out of touch with the enemy America faces
  • “The unlimited potential of the tea party” by Joseph Farah, who explains the grass-roots movement’s true, simple agenda
  • “New ‘bill of particulars’ cites Obama’s failings” by Chelsea Schilling, showcasing former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice Roy Moore passionately telling tea partiers Obama “has ignored history, apologized to Arabs, pursued socialism”
  • “Finding our way home before it’s too late” by Joseph Farah, who explains that after neutralizing Obama this November, tea party activists must rescue America’s cultural institutions and reclaim its spiritual priorities
  • “If you can’t beat ’em, bad-mouth ’em?” by Bob Unruh, who focuses on news anchors that resort to unbelievably crude sexual innuendo to criticize tea parties
  • “Tax dollars used to ridicule ‘teabaggers'” – profiling a government-funded commercial portraying tea partiers as stupid, drooling extremists
  • “People are crazy about liberty!” by Herman Cain, who celebrates the fact that Americans’ long-dormant passion for their country has been ignited
  • “Dem panic! Anti-tea-party ads tied to Obama eligibility” by Chelsea Schilling, focusing on a campaign that seeks to convince voters “This movement is a fad”
  • “NYT op-ed: Tea partiers are like ‘Hee Haw’ zombies” by Drew Zahn, showcasing a “mainstream media” columnist saying the tea party is manifesting “the desperate thrashings of a dying movement”
  • “A million or more rock Washington” by Chelsea Schilling and Alyssa Farah, who report the taxpayer march might have been the biggest rally ever in the nation’s capital
  • “Third party? Try tea for 2” by Jane Chastain, who makes a persuasive case that tea party activists should take over precincts in both major parties
  • “Secession in the air” by Patrick Buchanan, who shows how the tea party movement is tied to a growing states’ rights movement
  • “Tea-party explosion! Next up: House where Obama lives” by Chelsea Schilling, who reports that April’s event will “deliver the crowd right to the White House”
  • “2010 tea-party calendar” – See what all the fuss is about! Join patriots at several important events this year
  • “What we must do: Defeat every liberal in Congress” by Roger Hedgecock, who declares: Election 2010 is judgment day for the left

“Americans may have just one final chance to uproot the profoundly un-American Obama agenda before it puts deep roots permanently into America,” said WND Managing Editor David Kupelian. “This issue of Whistleblower is for those who want to be part of that fight.”

Stall, Baby, Stall [Sarah Palin]

Stall, Baby, Stall   [Sarah Palin]

Many Americans fear that President Obama’s new energy proposal is once again “all talk and no real action,” this time in an effort to shore up fading support for the Democrats’ job-killing cap-and-trade (a.k.a. cap-and-tax) proposals. Behind the rhetoric lie new drilling bans and leasing delays; soon to follow are burdensome new environmental regulations.  Instead of “drill, baby, drill,” the more you look into this the more you realize it’s “stall, baby, stall.”

Today the president said he’ll “consider potential areas for development in the mid and south Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, while studying and protecting sensitive areas in the Arctic.” As the former governor of one of America’s largest energy-producing states, a state oil and gas commissioner, and chair of the nation’s Interstate Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, I’ve seen plenty of such studies. What we need is action — action that results in the job growth and revenue that a robust drilling policy could provide.  And let’s not forget that while Interior Department bureaucrats continue to hold up actual offshore drilling from taking place, Russia is moving full steam ahead on Arctic drilling, and China, Russia, and Venezuela are buying leases off the coast of Cuba.

As an Alaskan, I’m especially disheartened by the new ban on drilling in parts of the 49th state and the cancellation of lease sales in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas. These areas contain rich oil and gas reserves whose development is key to our country’s energy security. As I told Secretary Salazar last April, “Arctic exploration and development is a slow, demanding process. Delays or major restrictions in accessing these resources for environmentally responsible development are not in the national interest or the interests of the State of Alaska.”

I’ve got to call it like I see it: The administration’s sudden interest in offshore drilling is little more than political posturing designed to gain support for job-killing energy legislation soon to come down the pike.  I’m confident that GOP senators will not take the bait.

Next week I’m headed to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, where I look forward to discussing what “Drill, baby, drill” really means.

Obama’s “turnaround” on drilling is a scam

Obama’s “turnaround” on drilling is a scam

April 1st, 2010

While media outlets herald Obama’s sudden bipartisanship and interest in offshore drilling the truth is his new announcement doesn’t do anything except close off areas that we were previously drilling in.

How can you tell Obama is lying? When He opens his mouth

This from the NY Times, H/t Moe Lane, Redstate

The Obama administration’s plan adopts some drilling proposals floated by President George W. Bush near the end of his tenure, including opening much of the Atlantic and Arctic Coasts. Those proposals were challenged in court on environmental grounds and set aside by President Obama shortly after he took office.

The first lease sale off the coast of Virginia could occur as early as next year in a triangular tract 50 miles off the coast that had already been approved for development but was held up by a court challenge and additional Interior Department review, officials said.

But as a result of the Obama decision, the Interior Department will spend several years conducting geologic and environmental studies along the rest of the southern and central Atlantic Seaboard. If a tract is deemed suitable for development, it is listed for sale in a competitive bidding system. The next lease sales — if any are authorized by the Interior Department — would not be held before 2012.

the Houston Chronicle Reports

“It appears the Northern Atlantic and entire Pacific Coast will now be under a de facto ban” for drilling, said Patrick Creighton, a spokesman for the Institute for Energy Research, an industry-funded group. Even if drilling is ultimately allowed in part of the Atlantic, Creighton said, revenue sharing is an essential incentive for states.

The administration’s plans could meet resistance from at least 10 Senate Democrats representing coastal and Great Lakes states who last week raised concerns about “unfettered access to oil and gas drilling” that could jeopardize fishing, tourism and military exercises.
The Interior Department retooled the current schedule of offshore leases governing 2007 through 2012 after a federal appeals court last April ruled that the second Bush administration had not done a sufficient environmental review of expanded drilling off the Alaskan coast.

Salazar had said he was readying a second blueprint for leasing from July 1, 2012 until 2017 — a decision that meant scrapping a Bush-era plan that would have OK’d leases on Pacific and Atlantic waters where no drilling has been allowed for decades.

And Rep. Mike Pence had  this to say…

“As usual the devil is in the details. Only in Washington, D.C., can you ban more areas to oil and gas exploration than you open up, delay the date of your new leases and claim you’re going to increase production.

“The President’s announcement today is a smokescreen. It will almost certainly delay any new offshore exploration until at least 2012 and include only a fraction of the offshore resources that the previous Administration included in its plan.

“Unfortunately, this is yet another feeble attempt to gain votes for the President’s national energy tax bill that is languishing in the Senate. At the end of the day this Administration’s energy plan is simple: increase the cost of energy on every family in America and trade American jobs oversees at a time when millions of Americans are looking for work

Obama, who ‘excluded lobbyists’, has appointed 50

Obama, who ‘excluded lobbyists’, has appointed 50

April 1st, 2010

By: TIMOTHY P. CARNEY, Washington Examiner

What happened to the no lobbyist pledge?

President Obama used his recess-appointment power to place four former federal lobbyists — representing defense contractors and the agri-chemical industry among others — in top policy jobs. Obama’s maneuver dodges a Senate floor debate and sweeps under the rug an inauspicious milestone: The appointment of the 50th lobbyist to a policymaking job by a president who claims he’s “excluded” them.

Isi Siddiqui enters the Obama administration from CropLife America, the D.C.-based lobby for the companies who make and sell agricultural pesticides and herbicides. Siddiqui was a registered lobbyist from 2001 to 2004, and since then he has served as the “vice president for science and regulatory affairs.” Now, thanks to the recess appointment, he is the top agriculture official at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

Erik Hirschhorn, appointed to the Commerce Department, was a registered lobbyist at the K Street firm Winston & Strawn, where his clients included military-industrial titan Lockheed Martin and fertilizer giant Sun Chemicals.

How Is the Stimulus Money Allocated?

How Is the Stimulus Money Allocated?

April 1st, 2010

By Veronique de Rugy, National Review

Obama is using the Stimulus for political purposes

Unemployment isn’t a factor, but politics is. Your stimulus dollars at work.

Using recipient report data from Recovery.gov, as well as economic and political data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Census Bureau, GovTrack.us, and others, I have compiled a series of facts about stimulus spending. The complete dataset used for this report is available for download at Mercatus.org — it covers the fourth quarter of the calendar-year 2009 Recovery Act contracts and grants only — but here are the main facts.

First: The idea behind the $787 billion stimulus bill is that, if the government spends money where it is the most needed, it will create jobs and trigger economic growth. Hence, we should expect the government to invest more money in districts with higher unemployment rates.

Controlling for the percentage of the district employed in the construction industry, a proxy for the vulnerability to recession of a district, I find no statistical correlation for all relevant unemployment indicators and the allocation of funds. This suggests that unemployment is not the factor leading the awards. Also, I found no correlation between other economic indicators, such as income, and stimulus funding.

Second: On average, Democratic districts received one-and-a-half times as many awards as Republican ones. Democratic districts also received two-and-a-half times more stimulus dollars than Republican districts ($122,127,186,509 vs. $46,139,592,268). Republican districts also received smaller awards on average. (The average dollars awarded per Republican district is $260,675,663, while the average dollars awarded per Democratic district is $471,533,539.)

What about left wing violence?

What about left wing violence?

Ann Kane

Let’s get this straight, Mr. Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post-the right wing commentators and the Tea Party are responsible for all domestic terrorism, and the left has done nothing to encourage terrorist behavior; funny how leftists never see themselves as guilty of anything.  In his Op Ed piece, The Hutaree Militia and the rising risk of far right violence, Robinson summarizes:

It is dishonest for right-wing commentators to insist on an equivalence that does not exist. The danger of political violence in this country comes overwhelmingly from one direction — the right, not the left. The vitriolic, anti-government hate speech that is spewed on talk radio every day — and, quite regularly, at Tea Party rallies — is calibrated not to inform but to incite.

Demagogues scream at people that their government is illegitimate, that their country has been “taken away,” that their elected officials are “traitors” and that their freedom is at risk. They have a right to free speech, which I will always defend. But they shouldn’t be surprised if some listeners take them literally.

In his tirade, Robinson unwittingly managed to encapsulate life in these United States today: our country has been taken away by left wing demagogues in the White House, and freedom is at risk.

Now, for some comparisons to the Hutarees, but approved by the left:

Homegrown Muslim terrorist groups like the one in the Catskills in New York, who plot jihad against America 24/7.  Where is Mr. Robinson’s outrage when it comes to Muslim terrorists on American soil?

Muslim jihad extremists like Hasan of the Ft. Hood murders.  Why did left wing racists give him a free pass, but not the Hutarees?

Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground who didn’t think his group went far enough in committing violence against the government.

Former communist and left wing extremist Van Jones, who recently had a makeover after resigning as Green Jobs Czar, and now sits on Princeton University’s staff.

Rev. Wright who preaches black liberation racist theology and hatred of America.

Louis Farrakhan who promotes anti-white, anti-Semitic propaganda.

Andy Stern of SEIU, Obama’s BFF (best friend forever), who allows his union thugs to beat up an innocent man in St. Louis?

Maybe right wing extremists like the Hutaree that Mr. Robinson demonizes will someday end up becoming professors and visit Obama in the White House, but for now, they live in shacks out in the woods while the left turns them into an icon of the right.
