What to make of Michelle Obama’s use the terms, “The world as it is” and “The world as it should be” in last night’s speech? Where are those lines from?
“Barack stood up that day,” talking about a visit to Chicago neighborhoods, “and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about “The world as it is” and “The world as it should be…”
And, “All of us driven by a simple belief that the world as it is just won’t do – that we have an obligation to fight for the world as it should be.”
Try Chapter 2 of Saul Alinsky’s book, ‘Rules for Radicals’. Alinsky was a radical leftist/socialist union and community orgainizer in the sixties, seventies and eighties. He was a hero to the Obama’s.
Here’s an excerpt from Saul Alinsky’s book, Rules for Radicals
The Obama’s ARE radical leftists, so I don’t see much surprise in her quoting Alinsky. Do you? It is part of their feeling of superiority, their feeling they are part of the intellectual elite, that she boldly lifted the passages feeling, I am certain, confident no one but her fellow leftists would recognize Alinsky’s work.
Michelle Obama can smile all she wants, (even speak truth about her kids–they are adorable!) but she remains an angry radical leftist, willing to do anything, say anything, to grab power. Focus groups show people perceive her anger, bubbling just below the surface.
