Rezko, Obama land-deal: Lawsuit targets

Rezko, Obama land-deal: Lawsuit targets

by Ray Gibson – (The Swamp)

Just weeks before Election Day, a former banker has filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court claiming he was fired for reporting to his bosses that there had been some shenanigans with the paperwork on a loan involving the purchase of Barack Obama’s South Side home and its neighboring lot.

Kenneth Conner claims in the suit that an appraisal found the vacant lot purchased by Obama fundraiser Antoin “Tony” Rezko was worth $125,000 less than the bank’s first appraisal. The Republican National Committee was peddling the suit today with the apparent hope that Conner’s allegation would lend credence to the suggestion Obama needed Rezko’s help to finance the purchase of the Kenwood home–something Obama has denied.

The suit also includes this intriguing assertion: The Rezko loan file was subpoenaed by a federal grand jury in Chicago, and when the bank responded to the subpoena the lower appraisal wasn’t included in the papers sent to federal investigators.

But the suit may not exactly be an October surprise to use against Obama: The suit alleges that the subpoena went out on Oct. 19, 2006 — before the Tribune first revealed an Obama connection to the parcel. On Nov. 1, 2006, the Tribune reported that the Obamas closed on their Kenwood home the same day that Rezko’s wife, Rita, had purchased an adjoining vacant lot.

So it appears from the court filing that the subpoena was part of the ongoing federal probe of Rezko, who was convicted in June of a multimillion-dollar kickback scheme involving Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s administration.

Public records also suggest that the lower appraisal was off the mark. The bank doesn’t appear to have lost any money on their loan on the lot, according to land records. When the lot sold last year, the Rezkos netted roughly $54,500.

Intelligence Official: Obama Would Endanger Us

Intelligence Official: Obama Would Endanger Us

By: Ronald Kessler, NewsMax

If Barack Obama wins the presidency, he will endanger the country by making us more vulnerable to terrorist attacks, the vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence tells Newsmax.

Obama “would so weaken our security forces that I personally believe that we would be in much greater danger of terrorist attacks in the United States and abroad,” says Sen. Kit Bond, R-Mo. “I’m very much concerned, because he’s shown weak judgment throughout his career. Throughout his campaign he has taken one position after another that just doesn’t make sense in fighting the war on terror.”

Obama voted twice in favor of requiring warrants to intercept communications of foreign terrorists situated overseas, including Osama bin Laden, Bond says.

“He voted for all of the amendments to weaken the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act bill and fought to strip it of its power,” Bond says. “Only at the 11th hour when he saw the tide was turning, did he vote for” the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Obama’s comment that the way to fight the war on terror is with prosecutions, the way the first World Trade Center bombing was addressed, shows how out of touch Obama is, Bond says.

“That’s really great,” Bond says. “Prosecuting somebody who’s blown themselves to pieces. You’re lucky to find enough of them to identify them by DNA. They’re really going to fear prosecution.”

Because of President Bush’s policies, “We are much safer than before 9/11 and have avoided another terrorist attack,” Bond says. “That strategy has carried the war to the terrorists where they are. We’ve rolled back al-Qaida a long way. But Obama’s initial position a couple of years ago that the war is lost, let’s get out, would have turned the country over to al-Qaida.”

Obama’s recent claims that, if he knew where bin Laden was, he would strike him in Pakistan without permission of that country shows how little understanding he has of the war on terror, Bond says.

“That’s the policy now,” Bond says. “We do continually kill terrorists in Pakistan with the Predator, and we advise Pakistan. We don’t seek their permission. At one point, he said we’ll just go bomb Pakistan. Apparently he doesn’t realize that Pakistan, while certainly a mixed bag, is a nuclear-equipped Muslim territory which could, with any precipitous action, turn into an enemy. They control our most important supply routes into Afghanistan, and he would ignore that. He doesn’t realize how dangerous it would be to destabilize Pakistan and allow their radical fringes to take over.”

Obama showed the same lack of understanding about Russia’s invasion of Georgia, Bond says.

“He called on Georgia to show restraint, and it took him about three times to get around to John McCain’s general position condemning Russia,” Bond says. “Then his solution was to call on the U.N. Security Council. Do we want the commander in chief to pass the mantle of U.S. leadership to the U.N.? And do we want one who apparently does not know that Russia has a veto power in the Security Council?”

Obama’s statement that he would sit down with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to negotiate without preconditions demonstrates naiveté, Bond says.

In sum, “He dismisses the threat, rewards enemies with summit meetings, abandons allies, and then refuses to support trade agreements with vital allies like Colombia, who are fighting off the narco-terrorists,” Bond says.

Obama’s Illegal Fundraising Methods, Misuse of Tax Exempt Money, Reinforce ACORN Scandal

Obama’s Illegal Fundraising Methods, Misuse of Tax Exempt Money, Reinforce ACORN Scandal

ACORN and its questionable voter registration methods are merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to disreputable and possibly illegal election tactics. They include arguably illegal and possibly rigged–with winners selected before the entry deadline, misuse of tax exempt church resources for electioneering, and foreign contributions. Here is a convenient list of links for further details.

  1. Acceptance of contributions from foreign sources, and in excess of the $2300 individual contribution limit
  2. Fundraising through potentially illegal (and possibly rigged, with predetermined winners) “Dinner with Barack lotteries”
  3. Misuse of tax exempt church resources for electioneering:

Obama Supporter Assaults Female McCain Volunteer in New York

Obama Supporter Assaults Female McCain Volunteer in New York

October 17, 2008 – by Oleg Atbashian

While the Democrat-leaning media continues to scare undecided voters with bedtime stories about some mythical angry McCain supporter whom [1] nobody has seen, here is a real district attorney’s complaint documenting an unprovoked assault by an enraged Democrat against a McCain volunteer in midtown Manhattan: “Defendant grabbed the sign [informant] was holding, broke the wood stick that was attached to it, and then struck informant in informant’s face thereby causing informant to sustain redness, swelling, and bruising to informant’s face and further causing informant to sustain substantial pain.”

The names have been redacted out of respect for people’s privacy

The overly formal document doesn’t mention this important detail: the victim was a small, quiet, middle-aged woman wearing glasses, and the attacker was a loud, angry man who went into orbit at the mere sight of McCain campaign signs.

On a Monday afternoon, September 15, 2008, three McCain volunteers were holding campaign signs and distributing leaflets on a busy corner of 51st Street and Lexington Avenue. As they were peacefully talking to each other, they were approached by a man who, in the words of the victim, provided the impression of “a rather benign, doughy-looking guy — not a person I would have expected to assault me.”

The picture she took of her fellow volunteers right before the attack

He rushed towards them, grabbed a McCain sign off a volunteer’s hands, and tore it apart. That didn’t seem enough.

This is how the victim describes it:

I said, “What are you doing? You can’t do that!” And he was red in the face screaming, “You people are ridiculous!” And I said, “Yeah, whatever, but you can’t do that.”
So I reached for the sign that he ripped up, and he grabbed another sign, broke it, and ripped it to shreds. And when I said, “You can’t do that,” he took the stick from the sign and started beating me on the head with it. He broke the skin on my head, he scratched my wrist, and almost broke my glasses, and then he left.
I followed him down the stairs to the subway until I could get the police and I said, “You’re not going to get away with it.” And as soon as he saw the police he immediately went calm. He still had the stick in his hand, and you could see the injury on my face, and he admitted it. He was arrested. He actually said, “I don’t know why I did this. It’s just those signs, and this election, it has me so upset.”
Some people are losing control, and it’s not the people on the right. Never have I seen that behavior with any of the people on my side of the fence. … It’s just not our way. Look at us, most of us have never been protesters. … Do I feel that the left is aggressive and potentially violent? Yes, because we’ve all seen it. I certainly have … firsthand!

A more detailed account of this story can be found on [6] this blog, as well as in an [7] interview she gave to a reporter from France 24 TV station.

The attacker: shielding his face from the camera while talking to the police

What came over him? Probably a hangover after that MSNBC election coverage. He might as well have continued living a benign life if the one-sided media election coverage and the Democratic Party’s scorched-earth propaganda strategy hadn’t turned this New Yorker into an enraged, quixotic attack machine slaying Republican “dragons” in the middle of a liberal city.

I suspect that if the roles were reversed and some angry Republican man had launched an unprovoked attack on a frail, bespectacled, Obama-supporting female the media would have had a field day, never letting this story off the front pages up until the election.

Will the media run with a story of an Obama supporter who went berserk at the sight of McCain signs and repeatedly struck a woman volunteer on the head with a stick?

Obama to Us: UN To Disarm Americans

Obama to us UN to disarm Americans

This is just in from Sen. Coburn’s office. Obama has authored a bill, and it is now in the Senate, to give the UN .7% of our GNP to be used to feed hungry 3rd worlders, AND to use UN force to disarm you and me and all gun owners. No one in the media has brought this to the attention of the general sheeple out here.

Subject: RE: Obama’s bill S2433 passed the committee and going to the Senate

Senator Coburn is blocking this bill.

Patrick Guinn

Obama’s bill S2433 would require the U.S. to initially direct .7 percent of our GNP into the United Nations coffers for distribution as they see fit, for “food” to third world nations. Under earlier agreements this would evolve into a national tax on the U.S. with the UN attempting to levy this on all first world nations.

The U.N. would have the power to increase this rate of taxation.

The U.S. would be required to surrender some of its sovereignty over foreign aid by putting it under UN control. The bill would force the U.S. to sign onto the U.N.’s Millennium Declaration, which would commit us not only to “banning small arms and light weapons” but also to adhere to the International Criminal Court Treaty and the Kyoto Protocol.

Detailed Summary

Global Poverty Act of 2007 – Directs the President, through the Secretary of State, to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the U.S. foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.

Requires the strategy to contain specific and measurable goals and to consist of specified components, including: (1) continued investment or involvement in existing U.S. initiatives related to international poverty reduction and trade preference programs for developing countries; (2) improving the effectiveness of development assistance and making available additional overall United States assistance levels as appropriate; (3) enhancing and expanding debt relief as appropriate; (4) mobilizing and leveraging the participation of businesses and public-private partnerships; (5) coordinating the goal of poverty reduction with other internationally recognized Millennium Development Goals; and (6) integrating principles of sustainable development and entrepreneurship into policies and programs.

Sets forth specified reporting requirements. Directs the Secretary of State to designate a coordinator who will have primary responsibility for overseeing and drafting the reports, as well as responsibility for helping to implement recommendations contained in the reports.<br>

Defines specified terms.

More on Barack Obama’s S.2433 : Global Poverty Act

We know for a fact that this bill will cost America $845 billion above and beyond what America already spends on global aid in the next thirteen years. America will be locked in to giving .7 percent of the U.S. gross national product. That in itself is scary enough, but there is way more to Obama’s bill. It also locks us into United Nations Millennium Summit. Cliff Kincaid from Accuracy in Media is all over this bill. He writes-(Underlined by me)

The bill institutes the United Nations Millennium Summit goals as the benchmarks for U.S. spending.

“It is time the United States makes it a priority of our foreign policy to meet this goal and help those who are struggling day to day,” a statement issued by supporters, including Obama, said.

Specifically, it would “declare” that the official U.S. policy is to eliminate global poverty, that the president is “required” to “develop and implement” a strategy to reach that goal and requires that the U.S. efforts be “specific and measurable.”

Kincaid said that after cutting through all of the honorable-sounding goals in the plan, the bottom line is that the legislation would mandate the 0.7 percent of the U.S. GNP as “official development assistance.”

In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that (U.N.) declaration commits nations to banning ‘small arms and light weapons’ and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention of Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and the Convention of the Rights of the Child,” he said.

Those U.N. protocols would make U.S. law on issues ranging from the 2nd Amendment to energy usage and parental rights all subservient to United Nations whims.

Kincaid also reported Jeffrey Sachs, who runs the “Millennium Project,” confirms a U.N. plan to force the U.S. to pay 0.7 percent of GNP would add about $65 billion a year to what the U.S. already donates overseas.

And the only way to raise that funding, Sachs confirms, “is through a global tax, preferably on carbon-emitting fossil fuels,” Kincaid writes.

On the forum run by Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, one writer reported estimates of taxes from 35 cents to $1 dollar a gallon on gasoline would be needed.(LINK)

Sarah Palin Hits Barack Obama On His Socialism Policies

Sarah Palin Hits Barack Obama On His Socialism Policies

1. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.
2. The stage in Marxist-Leninist theory intermediate between capitalism and communism, in which collective ownership of the economy under the dictatorship of the proletariat has not yet been successfully achieved.

Barack Obama told a man that he wanted to “spread the wealth” aka redistribute money, which is a socialist policy.

Take from those that work hard for their money when they work hard enough to make XXX amount, and give to those making less and has not worked for the other person’s money.

No matter how you cut it, it is socialism and Barack Obama said it on video when he was asked a question.

Sarah Palin has finally called it what it is, at a rally in Ohio:

The remark came at an Ohio rally in which Palin was discussing Joe Wurzelbacher, more commonly known as “Joe the plumber,” who told the Toledo Blade that Obama’s plan to “spread the wealth” was “a pretty socialist comment.”

Palin picked up on Wurzelbacher’s quote on Friday.

“Sen. Obama said that he wants to spread the wealth and he wants government to take your money and decide how to best to redistribute it according to his priorities,” she told the audience.

“Joe suggested that that sounded a little bit like socialism,” she said. “Whatever you call it, I call it bad medicine for an ailing economy, and it’s what Barack Obama will do to those who want to create jobs and we’re willing to call Barack Obama on it.”

Before that moment Obama hid his intent behind pretty words about helping middle class families, but when Obama was asked a direct question, didn’t have his handy teleprompter to give the “pretty” answer, he finally told the truth and said he wanted to “spread the wealth.”

Spread your wealth Barack, it is yours, but do not touch our money like some dictator deciding that what WE have worked for should be handed to someone else by you.

The video of Obama saying “spread the wealth” should be blasted on every television from now until election day.

When you rip the mask off of Barack Obama, you find a Marxist/socialist and it is time American voters be made aware of that basic fact.

McCain himself has avoided referring to Obama as a socialist, but he has left the door open to that assumption. In July, he told the Kansas City Star that Obama’s senate record is “more to the left than the announced socialist in the United States Senate, Bernie Sanders of Vermont.”

The GOP nominee was then asked if he believes Obama is a socialist.

“I don’t know,” McCain responded. “All I know is his voting record.”

Exactly, one look at Barack Obama’s voting record tells it all and Palin needs to continue pounding that point home as does McCain.

Well said Sarah, KUDOS.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Rescinds Speaking Invitation for William Ayers

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Rescinds Speaking Invitation for William Ayers

(Cartoon- Red County– Alberto Araoz)
Barack Obama tries to defend William Ayers and his association with him by claiming the acts of terrorism committed by Ayers, where the group he was with and Ayers himself, bombed the Pentagon, the US Capitol and a judge’s home, 40 years ago. To Obama, the domestic terrorism should be forgotten about because it happened so long ago.

Obama launched his career in William Ayers living room, Obama’s campaign tried to say “Obama didn’t know” about Ayers radical past when he first associated with him, that was debunked and they haven’t said that again.

Obama’s connections went further as he served on boards with Ayers and saw to it organizations Ayers was involved in received grants….all of this is public record.

More on William Ayers here. More on Weatherman Underground and the crimes committed here.

More on Obama/Ayers CAC (Chicago Annenberg Challenge) association here and here.

(William “Bill” Ayers, 2001, Chicago Magazine, trampling on the American Flag)

All evidence documented and the media having attempted to sweep it under the rug, we see that Americans have noticed and aren’t exactly impressed with William Ayers.

He was invited to speak at University of Nebraska-Lincoln and when donors and contributors heard about it, they had something to say, which basically consisted of, “If he speaks, no more money for you!!!.” (Paraphrased there but the article bears out my assertion)

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln rescinded its speaking invitation tonight for 1960s radical-turned-educator William Ayers.

University officials cited “safety reasons” for canceling Ayers’ Nov. 15 appearance.

Spokeswoman Kelly Bartling declined to elaborate on what safety concerns would keep Ayers from addressing a College of Education and Human Sciences event.

Earlier today, Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman strongly condemned the invitation and called on the NU Board of Regents and President J.B. Milliken to block it.

Heineman said through a spokeswoman this evening that he was pleased the university had reconsidered and rescinded the invitation.

An Omaha charitable foundation had announced it was pulling all of its contributions to the university. Several other donors also have indicated to university fundraisers that there could be a financial cost if Ayers speaks.

And Nebraskans by the hundreds continued to register their opposition with university administrators and others, lighting up phone lines and filling e-mail boxes.

Heineman said Ayers’ invitation was “an embarrassment” to the state and that it goes beyond the bounds of the university’s mission.

“Our citizens are clearly outraged and want action,” Heineman said in an interview. “This is their university. This isn’t even a close call. The university should immediately rescind the invitation.”

Dean Marjorie Kostelnik said she spoke Thursday night with UNL Chancellor Harvey Perlman about “the climate around this issue.”

No one wants a unrepentant domestic terrorist, who detonated bombs on US soil, to speak to those University kids.

The contributors, the donors, the school and those that complained loud enough to make themselves heard understands what William Ayers was and still is, yet Barack Obama while denouncing the “actions”, still has not denounced the man, William Ayers and has lied repeatedly by trying to claim his connection was less than it was.

Attorney General Jon Bruning also said UNL made the correct choice.

“I think its good news for the university,” he said. “I dont think there was any good way for the university to disassociate itself with his past.”

Neither can Barack Obama.

Just another association like Wright, Pfleger, Meeks, ACORN, Rezko etc…. to which Barack Obama showed his very poor judgment in who he chooses to “pal” around with.

McCain suggests Obama tax policies are socialist

McCain suggests Obama tax policies are socialist

CONCORD, N.C. – Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Saturday accused Democratic rival Barack Obama of favoring a socialistic economic approach by supporting tax cuts and tax credits McCain says would merely shuffle wealth rather than creating it.

“At least in Europe, the Socialist leaders who so admire my opponent are upfront about their objectives,” McCain said in a radio address. “They use real numbers and honest language. And we should demand equal candor from Sen. Obama. Raising taxes on some in order to give checks to others is not a tax cut; it’s just another government giveaway.”

McCain, though, has a health care plan girded with a similar philosophy. He proposes providing individuals with a $5,000 tax credit to buy health insurance. He would pay for his plan, in part, by considering as taxable income the money their employer spends on their health coverage.

McCain leveled his charge before a pair of appearances aimed at restoring his lead in critical battleground states. In both North Carolina and Virginia, where McCain was to speak later in the day, his campaign has surrendered its lead to Obama in various polls. President Bush, a Republican, won both states in 2004.

During a rally outside Charlotte, N.C., McCain returned to the socialism theme, although he did not use the more tart language of his radio address.

He also was sharply critical of the Bush administration, saying it should be more aggressive in buying up the home mortgages of those trapped by high interest rates and falling housing values.

“The administration is not doing it. The secretary of the Treasury is not doing it,” McCain told the crowd. “We need to buy up these mortgages, give you a mortgage that you can afford, so you can pay your mortgage and realize the American Dream of owning your home.”

McCain stoked the crowd by accusing Obama and his fellow Democrats of assuming they will not only win the White House but expand their congressional majority.

“Did you happen to see that Speaker (Nancy) Pelosi anticipates a 250-seat majority” in the House, the senator asked. “My friends, we can’t let that happen. My friends, taxes will increase, spending and they’ll concede defeat in Iraq.”

The last Democratic candidate to win North Carolina was Southerner Jimmy Carter in 1976, when the Republicans were reeling from President Nixon’s resignation following the Watergate scandal. Virginia has not voted for a Democratic nominee since President Johnson’s landslide victory in 1964.

McCain’s drop in the state polls follow larger national trends that have given Obama a lead following Wall Street chaos that focused the race on who is best equipped to restore the economy.

On Sunday, McCain was to travel to Ohio, where he might appear with “Joe the Plumber,” the Holland, Ohio, plumber Joe Wurzelbacher whom the senator has been portraying as emblematic of people with concerns about Obama’s tax plans.

Wurzelbacher became the focal point of the final presidential debate after he met Obama earlier in the week and said the Democrat’s tax proposal could keep him from buying the two-man plumbing company where he works. However, reports of Wurzelbacher’s annual earnings suggest he would receive a tax cut rather than an increase under Obama’s plan.

Obama has said his tax policies would cut payments for 95 percent of working Americans, while increasing them only for families making more than $250,000 a year. McCain has argued that 40 percent of Americans don’t pay income taxes, either because they are seniors or don’t meet minimum earnings thresholds, so the only way to cut their taxes is to give them various credits.

“In other words, Barack Obama‘s tax plan would convert the IRS into a giant welfare agency, redistributing massive amounts of wealth at the direction of politicians in Washington,” McCain said in the radio address.

An Obama spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
