Who is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? The Man Obama wants to talk to

Who is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?http://www.amilimani.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=79&Itemid=2

To understand Ahmadinejad’s mind set and behavior requires a close scrutiny of the elaborate and intricate theology of Hujjatiyyah Shiism, perhaps the most fundamentalist of the numerous Shiite sects. In the 1950s, a group of Islamic clergy led by Sheikh Mahmoud Halabi (a close associate of Ayatollah Khomeini) formed a society called the Anjoman-e Khayryyehye Hujjatiyyah-ye Mahdaviat (Charitable Society of the Mahdi), based in Mashhad, Iran. The Hujjatiyyah membership was mostly composed by the bazaar-i  businessmen and fanatical mullahs. Among many things, they were against the communists, Marxists, and atheists. Their overarching “raison d’être,” however, was to prepare the world for the upcoming of the 12th Imam — the Mahdi.
However, the most important immediate agenda item on their list was to harass and persecute the Baha’is, a religious group representing a small percentage of Iran’s population. In fact, the Hujjatiyyah-y’s alternative name became “The anti-Baha’i Society” (Anjuman-e Zidd-e Baha’iyat). They collectively worked for a single purpose: the eradication of Baha’is.

The terrible plight of the Baha’is in Iran is particularly heart-wrenching, since they are the largest non-Muslim population in the country and have been, from day one, severely brutalized by Muslims. Baha’i teachings of tolerance and openness to science are anathema to the Islamofascists on many levels, but the history of the faith includes direct challenges to the theological legitimacy of the mullahs. These slaveholders find the Baha’i faith a threat to their own version of Islam and the absolute theocratic power it puts their hands.

The egomaniac President Ahmadinejad is a member of Hujjatiyyah. He sees himself as the personal vassal of the Mahdi-Messiah or Hidden Imam, with whom he has fantasized tête-à-têtes frequently.

Ahmadinejad, a man driven by his religion, has a spiritual advisor in Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah-Yazdi (the defacto leader of the Hujjatiyyah). The President’s advisor is known for his extremist views on Islam and promotes suicide bombings and attacks on civilians in the West.  There is only view of Islam for him. He once said, “…if anyone tells you their own interpretation of Islam, punch them in the mouth!”

President Ahmadinejad has in a short time acquired great many descriptors at home and overseas: zealot, fascist, fanatic, anti-Semitic, lunatic and more. One prominent Western columnist called him “unhinged.”  But we cannot just dismiss the man as an aberration, someone who is in urgent need of psychological help, a person out of touch with reality, who represents nothing of substance.

Once again the West is misreading and misjudging people and events in the Middle East, due to the fact that it views things through its own prism.

Looking at the man through Western spectacles, he indeed appears to be all of the above and more. Yet Ahmadinejad is far from unhinged. As a matter of fact he is firmly hinged to a set of beliefs that dictate his views of the world, and inform him how he should deal with it from his position of power.

An unhinged man has the potential of becoming once again hinged. But, there is very little that can be done to a person who is inseparably hinged, and Ahmadinejad views are firmly rooted in the most orthodox philosophy of Shiism.

For our purposes, however, it is sufficient to document the fact that Ahmadinejad is not mentally disturbed; there is no display of contradictory thoughts and behavior. There is a full internal consistency in Ahmadinejad. Ahmadinejad’s words, deeds and beliefs show a fully hinged person.

Below are a few examples of his sayings, beliefs and actions. Whether one agrees or disagrees with them, they all fit perfectly into a consistent pattern.

▪ He literally believes in the imminent emergence of the Mahdi – the Shiites’ promised one who is expected to appear to set aright a decadent and wretched world.

▪ He views himself as the vassal of Mahdi, working for him and being accountable to him.

▪ His main task is to prepare the world so to hasten the Mahdi’s coming. If this preparation requires much destruction and bloodshed, so be it.

▪ As a former mayor of Tehran, he developed elaborate detailed plans preparing the city for the arrival of the Mahdi.

▪ He allocated generous sums for extensive road improvement to a mosque at Jamkaaraan near the city of Qum where it is believed the promised Mahdi is hiding in a well since the age of four, over 1100 years ago.

▪ He reportedly visits the well frequently and drops his written supplications into the well for the hidden Mahdi to act upon them.

▪ He has said in private that it was he who asked the Mahdi to inflict the massive stroke on Ariel Sharon.

▪ He sees the Jews as the sworn enemies of Islam. The hostility dates back to the time of Muhammad’s own treatment of the Jews in Medina. At first, expediently, Muhammad called the Jews “people of the book,” and accorded them a measure of tolerance until he gained enough power to unleash his devastating wrath on them.

▪ He says that the Holocaust is a myth. He is, in this respect, in good company with a number of other revisionist fanatics.

▪ He wants Israel to be wiped out of the map or transferred to Europe.

▪ In his speech at the UN general assembly, he implored the Mahdi to come and save the world. He claimed that during his speech of some twenty odd minutes, a powerful light enveloped him and all participants were held transfixed, unable to move their eyes.

▪ He believes that the earth is Allah’s and all people must either become believers of his brand of Islam or must perish as infidels najis (unclean) who by their very presence defile Allah’s earth.

▪ He believes that this earthly life is passing and worthless in comparison to the afterlife awaiting a devoted and faithful believer. Hence, he holds to the old belief that if a faithful kills an infidel, he goes to Allah’s paradise; and, if the faithful gets killed in the process of serving the faith, again he goes to Allah’s paradise. Hence, it is a win-win proposition for the faithful.

Ahmadinejad is a true devoted Muslim. Being unpredictable, self-contradictory and inconsistent are major symptoms of the mentally unhinged. By these standards of insanity, Ahmadinejad emerges as completely sane. He is fully predictable, consistent and has shown no self-contradiction. He does not even pretend that he misspoke or apologize for his outrageous statements. He is not a typical politician who practices the devious art of doublespeak, deception and change of position to suit his immediate convenience.

He knows who he is, what he believes, and what his own mission in life is: serving as the instrument for the revered Mahdi. Allah will make him emerge from the well as soon as the world’s conditions hit absolute hopeless bottom. Ahmadinejad sees himself as a driver who can play a critical role in doing just that, driving the world to the very bottom. And he plans on having an arsenal of nuclear weapons as soon as possible.

There is nothing really “unhinged” about Ahamadinejad’s thinking, statements and actions. They are internally consistent. He is simply a fanatic who is wedded to an extremely dangerous exclusionary system of belief. Humanity must learn that dismissing him as a lunatic will result in great suffering, as it did with Hitler.

Tragically, Ahmadinejad is the embodiment of several million people who are hinged exactly like him and who are willing to give their lives, and take with them as many lives as required in the service of their belief.  In this age of Weapons of Mass Destruction a man with huge sums of petrodollars can serve as the catalyst of total annihilation.

Prudence would err on the side of being an alarmist than a complacent dismissive.
Ahmadinejad and his ilk are not interested in any negotiation, any compromise or any live-and-let-live final solution. They are determined to be the soldiers of Mahdi come-what-may. They have no problem with the total destruction of the world. They are headed for a life of eternal bliss in Allah’s paradise. They hardly care, even rejoice, if the rest of humanity is subjected to a tragic death in the nuclear, biological and chemical wasteland of planet earth.

Humanity cannot afford and must not ignore the emergence of the final threat to its very existence on this planet.

Radical Islam, a Religion of “Peace in our Time”

Radical Islam, a Religion of “Peace in our Time”

Created 2008-09-23 09:33

“Peace” is apparently the word on the lips of British politicians whenever the omens point, in stiff armed salute, to catastrophe. In 1938, Neville Chamberlain gave his now infamous speech, ‘Peace in our Time,’ in which he announced that Germany would be allowed to annex Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia. This, the so-called Munich agreement, was meant of course to placate the Third Reich, but instead it is now seen as the first step to the occupation of Poland and to the onset of the Second World War. With utter lack of foresight Chamberlain had announced, “They [the various governments in the dispute] rejoiced with us that peace was preserved, and with us they look forward to further efforts to consolidate what has been done.” The British people, “were at one with those of Germany, of France and of Italy […] their intense desire for peace.”
There was a certain unintended dimension to junior Labour minister David Cairns’ recent statement, that Gordon Brown is the most unpopular British prime minister, “since Neville Chamberlain after Hitler invaded Norway,” as the same sort of language and mentality of appeasement that facilitated the rise of Nazi Germany is routinely employed by Brown and his government in regard to radical Islam. Its most literal outpouring came in July, when Brown spoke to the Knesset, and urged that Israel should share Jerusalem with the Palestinians. Like Chamberlain, Brown spoke of his belief that, “[…] this historic, hard-won and lasting peace is within your [Israel’s] reach, I urge you to take it by the hand.”
Neither Brown, nor Blair, nor the Labour Party, has acted mindful of the lessons that history has furnished us with. Indeed, the Party as a whole – and even British politicians more broadly – seems intent on repeating the most egregious mistakes of some other regimes now disappeared. Though perhaps the best known, the signing of the Munich agreement was far from the last time that government appeasement facilitated the rise of tyrannical organizations and regimes. In Algeria, as Walter Laquer has observed, “[…] the Islamists turned against the authorities who had done so much to support their activities. (Fascism: Past, Present, Future, Oxford University Press, 1996, p. 164), and there is every reason to believe that the same will occur in Britain.
The government, authorities, and some sections of the media, believe they are supportive of Muslims. They are not. They are supportive of the most radical Islamists imaginable. Consider, for example, the West Midland schoolteachers told to dress as Muslims to celebrate Eid. The passport application for a five year old girl rejected because of fears that her passport photograph, in which her shoulders were bare, might upset Muslims. The Christian political Party banned from saying that “moderate Muslims” opposed the building of London’s super-Mosque, as this implied the organization behind the mosque is not moderate (which it is not). This list goes on.
Much of the government’s behavior is motivated by fear, but many in the Labour Party also share with radical Islamists a hatred of British and Western tradition and culture, and a desire to teach the British a lesson for colonialism. In some cases Labour MPs would appear to share anti-Semitism with the Islamists. And both, of course, believe in an ”equality” enforced by undemocratic bodies and means.
As a political ideology, radical Islam has derived much from the Nazis of 1930s and 40s Germany and the proto-Nazism of the preceding decades. Radical Islam is, to use Laquer’s phrase, “clerical fascism.” Yet clerical fascists have been embraced by the highest echelons of the British government, just as they were by the Nazi government.
In 1941, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, and fervent admirer the Nazi regime, Amin al-Husseini (1895 – 1974), met with Adolf Hitler, and discussed their shared hatred of the Jews. (You can watch a clip of al-Husseini meeting Hitler here).

In 2005, Ahmad Thomson, at once a radical Islamist, Holocaust denier, and advisor to 10 Downing Street, claimed that the war in Iraq had been ordered by Zionists, as part of a supposed plan to shape world events.
The provenance of this belief in a Zionist world conspiracy is not difficult to trace. It is asserted in the Hamas charter, and, earlier on, in Hitler’s autobiographical Mein Kampf, and earlier still in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a forgery popular with the Nazis and now a part of Hamas’ pseudo intellectual foundation.
Likewise, as Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone openly embraced Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a Muslim scholar, who declared his support of Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah. Al-Qaradawi has espoused the murder of Jews and homosexuals, of wife beating, has declared that Islam should conquer Rome by violence, and has called suicide bombings carried out by Muslim women, “one of the most praised acts of worship.”
Again, it emerged recently that Scottish Nationalist Party councilor Jahangir Hanif had taken his daughters to a training camp on the Pakistan-Kashmir border, where they were each taught to fire an AK47. They had apparently been escorted to the camp in a van with blacked-out windows. The SNP suspended, but declined to expel Hanif, even despite receiving a letter of complaint from his 17 year old daughter (who was 14 at the time of being taken to the camp), who described the experience as a frightening ordeal, and suspension as too lenient. Nevertheless, Glasgow East MP John Mason said that suspending him was a severe punishment, and claimed that criticism of Hanif was, “coming across as thinly disguised racism.” (I assume he did not include Hanif’s daughter in this accusation.)
Radical Islam is gaining ground among the Muslim youth in particular. According to the Centre for Social Cohesion’s report [pdf], Islam on Campus: A survey of UK student opinions, 32 percent of Muslim students polled agreed that, “killing in the name of religion can be justified,” and that, “(33%) of Muslim students polled supported the introduction of a worldwide Caliphate based on Sharia law.” Last week Hammaad Munshi (18), became Britain’s youngest convicted terrorist, after being found guilty of making records of material likely to be used in terrorist acts. These included a guide to making napalm. Munshi was also actively involved with a cell of “cyber groomers” indoctrinating Muslims to murder kaffir (non-believers).
A few days ago, the Evening Standard revealed that the Al-Muhajiroun organization – banned as a threat to national security – has reemerged under a new name. Governed by exiled cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed, the militant organization is embarked upon a recruitment drive, again targeting young Muslims. Its first youth conference – “Muslim Youth: The Spark of the Fire” – was apparently addressed by clerical fascists Abu Waleed and Abu Uzair. The intentions of this group are clear. Uzair himself has stated in a BBC interview that, “We don’t live in peace with you any more. The banner has been risen for jihad inside the UK, which means it’s allowed for bombers to attack.”
Similarly, many backstreet mosques routinely preach hate, and encourage violence and murder toward kaffir, while women preachers at the high profile Regent’s Park Mosque were recently recorded advocating the most extreme forms of sharia punishments in a future Islamic Britain, when there will be a, “[…] Muslim leader, when the Muslim army becomes stronger, when Islam has grown enough.” Iraq’s deputy prime minister, Dr Barham Salih, reportedly proclaimed in January that mosques he visited in the city of Blackburn – at the invitation of then Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw – were so extreme that they would be illegal in Iraq.
And there are also plans for a “super mosque” in London, with a prayer space for 70,000. The organization behind it is Tablighi Jamaat, who, according to the deputy chief of the FBI’s international terrorism section, has recruited for al-Qaeda. It has also reportedly established terrorist training camps in Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Algeria. (And we should note that 2,000 British nationals are believed to have trained in terrorist camps inside Pakistan prior to 1998.) And the super mosque is opposed by many moderate Muslims – a petition against its establishment, as a possible terrorist risk, received 2,500 Muslim signatures in a period of 10 days.
It is in this context that sharia has been established in Britain.
Some will no doubt feel that I have weakened my point by citing moderate Muslims. But, on the contrary, there is no greater illustration of how dangerous many British mosques have become than Dr. Salih’s purported comment that they were more extreme than those in Iraq. There is no more succinct proof that Muslims do not need sharia than the former president of Iran, Mohammad Khatami, telling British Muslims, in 2006, to obey British law. Or, indeed, that research undertaken prior to the establishment of sharia law in Britain suggested that 2 thirds of Muslims did not want to live under it.
Nor could there be any clearer proof that the British government and authorities have chosen to collaborate with clerical fascists. What kind of government is it, after all, that employs a Holocaust denier? Or that publicly embraces one of the world’s most notorious clerical fascists? Or refuses the passport application of a five year old girl because her shoulders were bare in her passport photograph?
History is peppered with the same incidents that we are seeing now in only slight variations: the meeting of Hitler and al-Husseini; the same anti-Semitism; the same bullying of the opposition, the same thuggery, and denial of free speech. But more important is what these events appear to signify. What are we seeing emerge? We are seeing an old hybrid beast reawakening from its slumbering in history: The same transformation of socialists into fascist leaders. The same marriage of socialism and mysticism that gave birth to Nazism. The same union of Leftists and Islamists which fought against the shah in the Iranian Revolution. As Laquer wrote in 1996:

[…] opposition to the shah’s dictatorial regime fought under the banner of freedom rather than the rule of the ayatollahs. That is, the democrats and the revolutionaries of the Left paved the way for a regime they had not wanted and that quickly suppressed them far more effectively and brutally than the shah’s government had.” (p. 157)

Compare this to one commentary on violent opposition to those peacefully protesting the building of a “giant mosque” a few days ago at Cologne. And of the mayor’s call for the city to be “intolerant” to them:

Mayor Schramma is a dhimmi collaborator. His actions betray his city, his country and his civilization. This is a shameful act of cowardice and appeasement of the Nazis of our time. The true heirs of the Nazis, both in totalitarian mentality and in methods, were the Muslims and the Antifa left-wingers who were present this day, not those who demonstrated against the Islamization of their continent.

Jews who demonstrated against the mosque were beaten up by Leftists and Islamists. One Jewish man who was wearing the kippa (skullcap worn by Orthodox Jews), was beaten so badly that one of his ribs was broken. Yet, throughout the assault, the Leftist/Islamist thugs “were yelling and screaming ‘Nazi’” at the victim, who was clearly recognizable as a Jew. Recall, then, the accusation of “racism” used by Scottish MP John Mason, to silence criticism of a councilor who had gone to a training camp on the Pakistan border to learn to shoot an AK47.
As occurred in Iran, the liberals and Leftists in Britain, and in Europe as a whole, are not fighting for the greater freedoms; nor are they negotiating peace in our time; they are preparing the way for tyranny.

John McCain Does The Rachael Ray Show

John McCain Does The Rachael Ray Show

Republician presidential hopeful John McCain and his wife Cindy McCain take over Rachael Ray’s kitchen with their top secret ribs recipe on an upcoming episode of The Rachael Ray Show. Here’s a preview of their interview:

McCain on his fave TV shows: “My hero is Jack Bauer of 24. You know I guess it’s coming back on. Jack Bauer you know he always escapes, and I never escape… You know what series I really liked recently was The Tudors. Did you see that?”

McCain’s love of grilling: “The longer you’re there on the grill the longer you’re there with your friends. It’s one of my main sources of enjoyment. We have a place up in northern Arizona and it’s beautiful up in the red rock country of northern Arizona and there is nothing I would rather do than have those ribs on a grill, have our friends with us, and our family around us.”

McCain’s White House make-over if elected: “Yes, we will have a grill and at Camp David we will have a grill, and I guarantee it that nobody but me is going to do the grilling. I want to assure you that. No one has ever done the grilling at my great expectations.” (Cindy adds:“It is not a grill democracy in our house if that’s what you’re wondering.”)

Cindy McCain on being happy with her husband’s VP pick: “I’m so glad though that Sarah Palin is on the ticket for this reason. I’m a huge Deadliest Catch fan and they [Sarah and husband Todd Palin] know them. I can’t wait, I want to meet the Deadliest Catch guys.”

UMass chaplain fails in effort to boost Barack Obama’s chances

UMass chaplain fails in effort to boost Barack Obama’s chances

  Tuesday, September 23, 2008  |  http://www.bostonherald.com  |  Local Coverage

University of Massachusetts officials yesterday quashed efforts by an Amherst campus chaplain to offer two college credits to any student willing to campaign in New Hampshire this fall for Democrat Barack Obama.

Chaplain Ken Higgins told students in a Sept. 18 e-mail, “If you’re scared about the prospects for this election, you’re not alone. The most important way to make a difference in the outcome is to activate yourself. It would be just fine with McCain if Obama supporters just think about helping, then sleep in and stay home between now and Election Day.”

Higgins added that an unnamed “sponsor” in the university’s History Department would offer a two-credit independent study for students willing to canvass or volunteer on behalf of the Democratic nominee.

“It is relatively (easy) to do late add-ons,” Higgins wrote.

But university officials disavowed themselves of the effort after inquiries yesterday by the Associated Press. They said it could run afoul of state ethics laws banning on-the-job political activity, as well as university policy.

“There is no independent study for credit in the History Department that involves partisan political work, and no such activity has ever been approved,” said a statement issued by UMass-Amherst spokesman Ed Blaguszewski.

Higgins refused to identify the History Department sponsor and referred all further questions to university officials.

Blaguszewski said Higgins is one of about a dozen chaplains from different faiths working in Amherst, the flagship campus among the university’s five schools.

The kind of change Obama can believe in

The kind of change Obama can believe in

Thomas Lifson

Barack Obama’s sole claim to executive experience is his chairmanship of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Stanley Kurtz of National Review has reviewed the archives of the project and has important things to say about it  on National Review Online. The project was, in essence, a plan to change Chicago Schools into left wing centers of agitation, controlled by community councils dominated by “community organizers” — people hose job is to mobilize apathetic people to “class consciousness.

Kurtz writes:

The CAC’s agenda flowed from Mr. Ayers’s educational philosophy, which called for infusing students and their parents with a radical political commitment, and which downplayed achievement tests in favor of activism. In the mid-1960s, Mr. Ayers taught at a radical alternative school, and served as a community organizer in Cleveland’s ghetto.
In works like “City Kids, City Teachers” and “Teaching the Personal and the Political,” Mr. Ayers wrote that teachers should be community organizers dedicated to provoking resistance to American racism and oppression. His preferred alternative? “I’m a radical, Leftist, small ‘c’ communist,” Mr. Ayers said in an interview in Ron Chepesiuk’s, “Sixties Radicals,” at about the same time Mr. Ayers was forming CAC.
CAC translated Mr. Ayers’s radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with “external partners,” which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).
Mr. Obama once conducted “leadership training” seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama’s early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education. CAC’s in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement.
CAC also funded programs designed to promote “leadership” among parents. Ostensibly this was to enable parents to advocate on behalf of their children’s education. In practice, it meant funding Mr. Obama’s alma mater, the Developing Communities Project, to recruit parents to its overall political agenda. CAC records show that board member Arnold Weber was concerned that parents “organized” by community groups might be viewed by school principals “as a political threat.” Mr. Obama arranged meetings with the Collaborative to smooth out Mr. Weber’s objections.

Obama Dollars

Obama Dollars

By Mac Fuller

Watch the money flow. Obama dollars can tell us a lot.
1.         $120,349.   Other People’s Money.

Senator Obama received more political contribution money from now-collapsed mortgage banks Fannie Mae [Federal National Mortgage Association] and Freddie Mac [Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp] than all but one of the 353 other senators and congressmen who received political contributions from these two entities which were recently taken over by the federal government.

Even more dramatic is the fact that 19 years (from 1989 – 2008) of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac political contribution statistics show Senator Obama received his $120,349 despite having been in the U.S. Senate for just three years.  Only Senator Chris Dodd, Democrat of Connecticut — who has been in Congress for 33 years (1975-81, House of Representatives; 1981-Present, Senate) — received more.[1]

2.         $195,000.   Other People’s Money.

Soon after her husband was elected to the U.S. Senate, his wife Michelle Obama received a $195,000 raise (to $316,962 in 2005 from $121,910 in 2004); subsequently, in 2006, Senator Obama requested a $1,000,000 earmark for Mrs. Obama’s employer, the University of Chicago Hospitals, where she handles “community outreach”[2]  — which is apparently akin to being a handsomely paid “community organizer” but with better contacts.

3.         $1,000,000.   Other People’s Money

Soon after her husband was elected to the U.S. Senate, his wife Michelle Obama received a $195,000 raise (to $316,962 in 2005 from $121,910 in 2004); subsequently, in 2006, Senator Obama requested a $1,000,000 earmark for Mrs. Obama’s employer, the University of Chicago Hospitals, where she handles “community outreach”[3]  – which is apparently akin to being a handsomely paid “community organizer” but with better contacts.

4.         $250,000Other People’s Money.

When asked during the Democrat presidential nomination race how much money Chicago slumlord and now-convicted felon Tony Rezko had raised in contributions to his campaign, Senator Obama waffled and wafted like the slim timber he is and said his “best guessitmate” was $10,000 to $15,000.  In fact, it was $250,000.[4]  Mr. Rezko is a long-time associate of Senator Obama and was his first substantial financial backer.  Also, “when Obama bought his $1.65 million South Side home, there was an adjacent landscaped lot, which Rezko’s wife purchased on the same day for the full asking price of $625,000.”  [see #5 below].

5.         $625,000Other People’s Money

Senator Obama and his wife, Michelle, purchased a $1.65 million Georgian revival mansion in Chicago, where they now reside.  While wealthy, Syrian-born Chicago slumlord Tony Rezko was already known to be under federal investigation, the senator approached Mr. Rezko about purchasing the two adjoining properties, then toured the home with Mr. Rezko (now a convicted felon on those charges).  Soon after Senator Obama bought the mansion for $300,000 less than the asking price.[5]  On the same day, Mr. Rezko’s wife purchased the adjoining vacant lot for the full asking price of $625,000.[6]

6.         $75,000.  Other People’s Money.

Senator Obama served as a paid director to a “progressive” Chicago-area non-profit organization, the Woods Fund, from 1999 until almost 2003.  William C. Ayers — who, despite the senator’s protestations to the contrary, is a long-time friend and political ally — served with Senator Obama on the organization’s board of directors.

Mr. Ayers is an unrepentant and unpunished American terrorist.  Mr. Ayers and his now-wife, Bernadine Dohrn, were leaders of the radical Left, terrorist group, the Weather Underground which was responsible for 25 bombings in the 1960’s and 70’s including bombings of the New York City police headquarters, the Capitol in Washington, and the Pentagon.  After successfully fleeing to avoid prosecution for ten years, Ayers and Dohrn turned-in themselves in 1980 but were never prosecuted due to improper police investigatory actions.  “Dohrn was once on the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted List and was described by J. Edgar Hoover as the ‘most dangerous woman in America.'”[7]

“Both [Ayers and Dohrn] have written and spoken at length about their pasts, and today he is an advocate for progressive education and a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago; she’s an associate professor of law at Northwestern University.”[8]

Almost unbelievably, but nevertheless true, on September 11, 2001, Mr. Ayers told the New York Times in an interview, “I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough.”

In 2001 the Woods Fund gave a $40,000 financial aid grant to a group with ties to the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) — the Arab American Action Network — which was co-founded by radical Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi and whose president is conveniently Mr. Khalidi’s wife, Mona.  In 2002, the Woods Fund gave the Arab American Action Network a second gift of $35,000.  Mr. Khalidi and his wife are successful fundraisers for Senator Obama.

The Arab American Action Network opposes the existence of Israel as a state, calling its founding a “catastrophe.”  Mr. Khalidi, the Arab American Action Network’s co-founder, “was reportedly also a director of the official PLO press agency WAFA in Beirut from 1976 to 1982, while the PLO committed scores of anti-Western attacks and was labeled by the U.S. as a terror group.  Khalidi’s wife, AAAN President Mona Khalidi, was reportedly WAFA’s English translator during that period.”  Both deny this but Palestinian diplomatic sources have confirmed it.[9]

While both Senator Obama and terrorist William Ayers were on the board of the Woods Fund, it also made a $1,000,000 contribution to Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) — what essentially became Mr. Ayers’ failed Leftist attempt to redesign education in Chicago schools in his own image.  Senator Obama chaired the CAC from 1995 through 1999 [see #9 below].

7.         $325,000.   Other People’s Money.

As a state senator Obama directed $225,000 of Illinois taxpayers’ money, and later as a U.S. Senator earmarked another $100,000 in federal tax money, for programs run by radical political activist and Catholic priest (now removed from his church), Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina Roman Catholic Church on Chicago’s South Side.[10]  Senator Obama identified Father Pfleger, with whom he has been involved for 20 years, as “a key source of spiritual guidance.”[11]

Father Pfleger’s Catholic parish, like that of Obama spiritual mentor and advisor Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church, espouses a brand of black exclusivity based in the “black liberation theology” of James Cone and has done so, also like Reverend Wright’s church, for two decades.

Pfleger is not only a long-time political associate of Senator Obama and Reverend Wright, but also of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan[12] whom Wright described “as one of the…giants of the African-American religious experience” and praised for his “integrity and honesty” — despite the well-known fact Farrakhan is an outspoken anti-Semite and admirer of Adolf Hitler.  Wright and Farrakhan once traveled together to visit Libyan dictator, Muammar al-Qaddafi — whose government was responsible for blowing up an airliner over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing everyone aboard.   Nevertheless, in December, 2007 Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ awarded Farrakhan for his lifetime “achievements.”[13]

National Review‘s Stanley Kurtz (among others) has written extensively about and revealed the extremist political interdependencies of Senator Obama, radical Catholic priest Michael Pfleger, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan.[14]  In a lengthy, in-depth article about Trumpet, the slick, nationally-distributed magazine of Senator Obama’s church (and one in whose issues he has frequency appeared) Kurtz noted:

…that Wright’s theology and politics have more in common with black-nationalist sources (both Christian and Muslim) than with those of conventional Christianity. In particular, Wright is closely allied with a radical and highly controversial Catholic priest named Michael Pfleger, and with Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan. While his specific ties (if any) to Farrakhan are unclear, Barack Obama appears to be very much a part of the broader Wright/Pfleger/Farrakhan theological-political nexus.

It is clear Obama was aware of Wright’s views; indeed, the specifically political character of Wright’s liberation theology is what drew Obama to Christianity.[15]

Kurtz continued:

Pfleger is just as far as Wright is from the majority of American Christians. Although Pfleger is white, he heads a largely black congregation on Chicago’s South Side. Like Wright, Pfleger follows the black-liberation theology of James Cone.

As insightfully penned by James Taranto of the Wall Street Journal, here is what the hoopla over Senator Obama and his spiritual advisors ultimately boils down to and why it matters so much for America and her future:

Wright proclaims himself an exponent of “black liberation theology.” He cites James Cone, a distinguished professor at New York’s Union Theological Seminary, whom he credits for having “systematized” this strain of Christianity.
Here is a quote from Cone, explaining black liberation theology:
Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. . . . Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.
Could Obama really have been unaware for all these years that his spiritual mentor follows a racially adversarial theology, one that demands of God that he be “for us and against white people” and that he participate “in the destruction of the white enemy”? It doesn’t exactly sound like the sort of “change” we can believe in.[16]

Stanley Kurtz further pointed out that none of Senator Obama’s rhetorical dissimulating can explain away:

The nature and status of this kind of Christianity…. There is a profound difference between “black-liberation theology” and Christianity as conventionally understood. Trinity [Church] itself recognizes this difference, to the point where Wright, his followers, and his theological mentors often present conventional American Christianity as both false and evil.[17]

Senator Obama has said he never saw Wright’s views as being “particularly controversial.”  Perhaps that is why he secured $325,000 in tax dollars for his radical friend’s community (organizing?) events.
8.         $15,000,000.   Other People’s Money (yes, you read that right, $15 million)

Over the past 15 years Senator Barack Obama’s church, Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois, and its pastor, Senator Obama’s “spiritual mentor” Reverend Jeremiah Wright has received $15,000,000 in grant money from the federal government.[18]  Senator Obama has been a church member for 20 years.
Reverend Wright’s church also espouses “black liberation theology” as systematized by James Cone.  Black liberation theology’s doctrines (only very briefly touched upon in #7 above) are not only extremely different from Christian spirituality but from Christianity as a whole.  Reverend Wright has now become infamous due to the reportage of his widely-sold video-taped sermons in which he frequently makes anti-American and anti-white pronouncements from the pulpit, and repeatedly asserts (just as a small example) that:  America is the USKKKof A;  the United States purposefully invented the AIDS virus and infected Third World peoples with it in order to maintain America’s standard of living;  America brought the September 11, 2001 al-Qaeda attack in New York City upon itself by its own terrorism;  and that the U.S. supports state [Israel] terrorism against the Palestinians.[19]

Reverend Wright even turned his “Pastor’s Page” over to a member of the Muslim terrorist organization, Hamas, to use as a bully pulpit in a screed against Israel, and by extension, the United States:[20]

Sen. Barack Obama’s Chicago church reprinted a manifesto by Hamas that defended terrorism as legitimate resistance, refused to recognize the right of Israel to exist and compared the terror group’s official charter – which calls for the murder of Jews – to America’s Declaration of Independence.
The Hamas piece was published on the “Pastor’s Page” of the Trinity United Church of Christ newsletter reserved for Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., whose anti-American, anti-Israel remarks landed Obama in hot water…..
Hamas, responsible for scores of shootings, suicide bombings and rocket launchings against civilian population centers, is listed as a terrorist group by the U.S. State Department.
Now remember, Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Senator Obama’s church received $15,000,000 in grant money from the United States government.
9.         $100,000,000Other People’s Money (and again, yes, you read that right, $100 million).

The Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) was established in 1995 after a $49.2 million grant proposal by Obama friend and unrepentant-terrorist-bomber-now-educator William Ayers [see #6 above] was awarded.  Both Senator Obama and Mr. Ayers were deeply involved – Senator Obama as founding Chairman – in the failed, five-year CAC educational “reform” fiasco, which wasted over $100 million of other people’s money on Mr. Ayers pet authoritarian educational theories.[21]

The C.A.C.’s own final technical report issued in 2003 repeatedly noted that it was an utter failure.

In order to receive the grant money, an equivalent amount of matching funds had to be raised.  $110 million quickly was, $1,000,000 of which was awarded by the Wood’s Fund — the “progressive” non-profit organization of which both Senator Obama and William Ayers were board members.

Not coincidentally, not only was William Ayers one of the first CAC grantees despite being the co-chairman of one of its two operational arms, but his decades-long friend and political ally, communist Michael Klonsky who founded the American-birthed Maoist Communist Party[22] was as well. Mr. Klonsky initially received a $175,000 grant for his Small Schools Workshop, and was later given another $482,622.[23]

Until recently, Mr. Klonsky operated a blog at the official Obama Campaign website.  All of its content has now been removed.  Additionally, Senator Obama’s official campaign web site contains an endorsement page entitled, “Marxist / Socialist / Communists for Obama”[24]

Education is a crucial policy issue in America.  Its form and substance should never be left to either the Barack Obama’s of the world, nor to William Ayers who, as news editor Ed Lasky noted, “Barack Obama has been attempting to burnish Ayers’ reputation by characterizing him as a university professor — still one of the more honored and respected professions in America.  He peddled the notion that Ayers is an educator now and this should absolve him of the burden of his bomber background.”  Mr. Lasky observed that Ayers adopted an ideology of radicalism over education when he attended Columbia University’s Teacher’s College:

Ayers has subsequently written a best seller used in ed-school courses which focuses on the moral imperative of teaching “social justice” to students in K-12 classrooms. He has been active in ‘teaching teachers’ that capitalism is a curse and imperialism is an American obsession. [….]
Instead of educating teachers to prepare their students for the real world, and to acculturate immigrant children into the civic culture of America, Ayers is helping to create a cadre of teachers who will promote a view that is radically at odds with the mores of most Americans and that is divorced from the traditions of education in America.[25]

Likewise, Sol Stern of City Journal has written extensively about the nexus of Senator Obama and William Ayers regarding education in America, and argues that the more critical aspect of the senator’s affiliation with an unrepentant and unpunished terrorist is his refusal to acknowledge Mr. Ayers all-consuming political agenda:

The more pressing issue is not the damage done by the Weather Underground 40 years ago, but the far greater harm inflicted on the nation’s schoolchildren by the political and educational movement in which Ayers plays a leading role today. [….]
Ayers’s politics have hardly changed since his Weatherman days. He still boasts about working full-time to bring down American capitalism and imperialism. This time, however, he does it from his tenured perch as Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Illinois, Chicago. [….]
Ayers’s influence on what is taught in the nation’s public schools is likely to grow in the future. Last month, he was elected vice president for curriculum of the 25,000-member American Educational Research Association (AERA), the nation’s largest organization of education-school professors and researchers.[26]

Senator Obama, with the help of such people, attempted to radically change the entire Chicago, Illinois education system.  Fortunately, he failed.  If elected President, he might not.

10.       $0 , at last,… Obama Dollars

Now remember, Senator Obama’s campaign theme is “Hope” and “Change You Can Believe In,” nevertheless, the senator’s half-brother, George Hussein Onyango Obama, lives in dire poverty in a tiny, collapsing, dirt-floored hut on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya.  According to Kenyan-born George Obama (who is pictured outside his hut in the Telegraph U.K. newspaper as well as Vanity Fair magazine (Italian edition) and the Chicago Sun-Times) he exists on approximately $1 a month.  Senator Barack Obama met with him in 2006, and had already been a United States Senator for at least a year.[27]

Other people’s money is one thing. Obama dollars are something else. There is a lesson here on the man’s friends and family, and most importantly, his character.

FOX News has learned that over the last 15 years, Trinity [United Church of Christ] has received at least $15 million in grants from the federal government – in other words, taxpayer money.  ….  So, how did Trinity, given Wright’s controversial criticism of the government, get millions of dollars in handouts from Washington over the years?  ….   Jay Shafritz, an author and professor emeritus of public administration from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh, says at some level, politics invariably influences how government grant money is awarded.  “This is very much a sophisticated operation of convincing the people in government that you are the most deserving person, because these grants are very often competitive,” he said.  “It’s very much like good old fashioned patronage.  In the old days, political machines had jobs to give their constituents.  Nowadays, they offer them grants,” Shafritz continued.  Shafritz examined the grant documents provided by FOX News and found no wrongdoing.

Yet, he said there’s no way to know exactly how Trinity spent its millions in taxpayer money, since grant awards usually afford some latitude for discretionary use. He stressed that it’s clear the grants have helped Wright grow his once tiny ministry into a massive empire.  “Before he embarrassed himself on national television with his rantings, he was a very, very sophisticated guy in terms of growing organizations. He knew how the game was played and he played it very well.
