Sometimes Hillary Clinton leaves me breathless with the sheer arrogance of her assumption that the American people are like a bunch of straw-chewing rubes eager to buy her latest brand of snake oil.

She introduced her latest excursion into the field of health care in America by assuring us that under her national health care plan people will no longer be denied needed emergency medical services because they lack health insurance.

Hillary knows that the law provides that nobody can be turned away because of their inability to pay for needed medical services — she just hopes the voters don’t know that. She wants them to think that some cruel tyrant stands at the emergency room door barring entrance to the poor and needy.

Illegal immigrants, for example, know what a phony claim that is. They know the law better than most American citizens. The illegals get all the health care they want, because they know the law guarantees those services without them having to pay one red cent for it.

Hillary goes on to assure Americans that health care is a right and not a privilege. Ignoring the fact that rights have no price tag attached – you don’t have to pay to exercise the right of free speech, for example – yet she puts a price tag on the right to have health care at $110 billion a year. That’s what she wants us to pay for the alleged right to health care.

She says that the annual cost of $110 billion will be paid by increasing taxes on those Americans whose taxable income is $250,000 a year. She doesn’t explain that there are not enough taxpayers making that kind of money to come up with enough tax dollars to finance that $110 billion annual price tag.

As one of my listeners pointed out, in 1948 the United States Supreme Court ruled that no American citizens can be charged for their rights. Hillary is now ruling that Americans can now be billed $110 billion a year for the right to have health care.

Whenever left-wing Democrats make a proposal they always make at least a part of their plan mandatory. They can’t help it – it’s in their blood to want to force people to do what they want them to do.

So Hillarycon would force every man, woman and child in the United States to have health insurance, whether they want it or not. They get no choice in the matter. To Democrats such as Hillary, the only right of choice they recognize is a woman’s right to choose to kill the baby in her womb. All other rights of choice are up for grabs.

Hillary and her fellow Marxists keep peddling the line that there are 47 million Americans who have no health insurance – implying that they are too poor to be able to pay for it. That’s tommyrot and they know it.

According to Investor’s Business Daily, about 38 percent of the estimated 47 percent of the American people who lack health insurance have incomes in excess of $50,000 a year. Moreover, about 20 percent of all uninsured Americans have incomes over $75,000 a year.

These people can afford coverage, but for whatever reason choose not to buy it. You have to ask yourself why Hillary and John Edwards and Obama want to take away the right of these people to choose to remain uninsured.

If they insist on talking about our rights as Americans, why can’t they recognize our right to say, “No, we don’t want health insurance”?

If I’m willing to take the chance that I won’t have health care problems this year, and am not willing to buy insurance to pay for an illness or accident I don’t anticipate, that’s my choice – not Hillary’s.

The new version of Hillarycare is just another Clintonian con game – a neatly wrapped bottle of snake oil. She doesn’t want you to read the price tag and the label on the bottle that warns that the contents may taste good but are utterly devoid of anything good for your health.

Alireza Jafarzadeh, president of the Washington-based Strategic Policy Consulting Inc. and spokesperson for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), was the guest of the Middle East Forum at Philadelphia’s Cozen O’Connor law offices last Wednesday over lunch. Bob Guzzardi, Esq. chairman of the Middle East Forum introduced Mr. Jafarzadeh. Jafarzadeh used his visit with the Middle East Forum to promote his new book, The Iran Threat: President Ahmadinejad and the Coming Nuclear Crisis.

The best policy option for the U.S., according to Jafarzadeh, is to support the MEK (Mujahedin –e Khalq), currently listed by the U.S. State Department as a terrorist organization. Jafarzadeh said that all other options including an economic boycott of Iran, support for minority groups within Iran, and military action are only ancillary to supporting MEK.

Bombing Iran, Jafarzadeh claimed, will not help and, at best, would delay the nuclear program. In focusing on Iraq, Jafarzadeh said, “Nuri al-Maliki, the current Prime Minister must be removed, and Shiite militias disarmed.” He accused Maliki of being an agent of Iran and emphasized Iran’s decisive voice in the Maliki government. He asserted that, “Ministerial appointments in the Maliki government get approval from Tehran.”

America’s and the free world’s best hopes for Iran, he said, are with the younger generation and women. Being born into a climate of oppression, the young people and women in particular are rebelling and demanding freedom.

Jafarzadeh stressed the futility of any talks held between U.S. officials and their Iranian counterparts. “Talks with the Iranian officials exposes the U.S. weakness and encourages Iranian aggression,” Jafarzadeh asserted.

Jafarzadeh, an active Iranian dissident became more widely recognized in 2002 when he revealed the existence of clandestine nuclear facilities in Iran. When he originally sounded the alarm, Jafarzadeh noted, “it did not seem real to many people at the time, now people are realizing how serious the situation is.”

Referring to Iraq, Jafarzadeh said that Iran is waging a proxy war against the U.S. forces in Iraq and that General David Petraeus and U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Ryan Crocker, admitted as much in their testimony before Congress. Jafarzadeh asked rhetorically why it took so long?

Jafarzadeh charged that the Iranian regime dominated everything in Iraq, and that it has delivered the Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) bombs to Iraqis in order to kill Americans.

These bombs, according to Jafarzadeh, are built in the suburbs of Tehran and shipped to Iraq. He added that Iran is training the militias and providing them arms and assistance to the tune of $70 million a month. Moreover, Jafarzadeh said that Iran has 32,000 agents in Iraq, and that key Iraqis in local and provincial governments take their orders from Tehran. The same is true, he said, with regard to the Defense Ministry and police.

Iran’s goal is to establish an Islamic Shiite State in Iraq according to Jafarzadeh. He pointed out that immediately after the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime in 2003, three million Iranians crossed the border into Iraq to visit the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala. And, he quoted a member of the Iraqi National Assembly, Jamal al-Din (a Shiite cleric), as openly claiming that, “Iran already controls the Iraqi government.”

Iran’s extremism, coupled with its possession of a nuclear bomb, would be “a nightmare scenario” Jafarzadeh emphasized. The Iranian regime, he added, “believes in global Islamic rule,” and a nuclear bomb would give it the leverage and “help it to consolidate power.”

Ahmadinejad has pushed for this nuclear program with the backing of the Supreme Leader and the Revolutionary Guards. The nuclear program itself is under the control of the Revolutionary Guards, who are in turn loyal to Ahmadinejad. The Revolutionary Guards, Jafarzadeh said, have carried out the R&D on the nuclear weapons.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has not interviewed the Revolutionary Guards on the nuclear weapons situation, Jafarzadeh asserted, adding that the IAEA failed to inspect a number of underground facilities that the Iranian opposition revealed to them. Jafarzadeh claimed that the Iranian nuclear program has not been slowed down, and that progress is being made with plutonium in Nantaz.

Addressing actions the U.S. must take, Jafarzadeh said that Washington must demand that the Iraqi government “purge the Iranian elements.” Iran, Jafarzadeh said, created such entities as the Badr Brigades, and other such militias and they should be disbanded and disarmed. “The U.S.,” Jafarzadeh said, “needs to empower the more moderate voices in Iraq since they are a majority.” He stressed that the majority of Shias in Iraq are not radical, and that the moderate voices get killed.

Jafarzadeh brought up the Iranian opposition in the context of Iraq and pointed out that they have pressured the Sunni groups to stop fighting the Americans and Iraqis. He went on to say that the Iranian opposition groups (NCRI) have been fighting the Ayatollahs in Tehran and Qum for more than 27 years.

“Sitting with Iranian government officials sends the wrong message to moderates in Iran and weakens their voice,” Jafarzadeh said. The U.S. must be firm with Iran’s agents in Iraq and with Iran itself, and the Mujahedin –e Khalq (MEK) opposition group should be supported by the U.S. instead of it being on the terrorist list of the State Department. Saddam Hussein had supported the MEK for over twenty years and used them during the Iran-Iraq war. The group is heavily armed (took tanks and artillery left in Saddam’s arsenal) and is strong enough to confront Iranian troops.

“Iran is vulnerable internally,” Jafarzadeh claimed, citing the more than 5000 anti-government demonstrations in Iran last year. Demonstrators burned Ahmadinejad’s photo right in front of him, in spite of the mass executions faced by opposition members since 1988.

In ending his 30-minute presentation Jafarzadeh said, “There is no need to invade Iran or use military action and the U.S. need not go on with fruitless negotiations with the Iranians. The people of Iran are ready for change.” The U.S. banned the MEK and labeled it a terrorist organization as a gesture to Iranian president Muhammad Khatami (1997-2005), who was perceived in the West as a “moderate.” It is high time, Jafarzadeh said, the U.S. ends its ban on the MEK and begins supporting it openly.

Who is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad?

To understand Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s mindset and behavior require close scrutiny of the elaborate and intricate theology of Hujetieh Shiism, perhaps the most fundamentalist of the numerous Shiite sects.

In the 1950s, a group of Islamic clergy led by Sheikh Mahmoud Halabi (a close associate of Ayatollah Khomeini) formed a society called the Anjoman-e Khayryyehye Hujjatiyyah-ye Mahdaviat (Charitable Society of the Mahdi), based in Mashhad, Iran. The Hujjatyyah membership was mostly composed by the bazaar-i  businessmen and fanatical mullahs. Among many things, they were against the communists, Marxists, and atheists. Their overarching “raison d’être,” however, was to prepare the world for the upcoming of the 12th Imam — the Mehdi.
However, the most important immediate agenda item on their list was to harass and persecute the Baha’is, a religious group representing a small percentage of Iran’s population. In fact, the Hujjatiyyah-y’s alternative name became “The anti-Baha’i Society” (Anjuman-e Zidd-e Baha’iyat). They collectively worked for a single purpose: the eradication of Baha’is.
The terrible plight of the Baha’is in Iran is particularly heart-wrenching, since they are the largest non-Muslim population in the country and have been, from day one, severely brutalized by Muslims. Baha’i teachings of tolerance and openness to science are anathema to the Islamofascists on many levels, but the history of the faith includes direct challenges to the theological legitimacy of the mullahs. These slaveholders find the Baha’i faith a threat to their own version of Islam and the absolute theocratic power it puts their hands.
The egomaniac President Ahmadinejad is a member of Hujjatiyyah. He sees himself as the personal vassal of the Mahdi-Messiah or Hidden Imam, with whom he has fantasized tête-à-têtes frequently.
Ahmadinejad, a man driven by his religion, has a spiritual advisor in Ayatollah Mohammad Taghi Mesbah-Yazdi (the defacto leader of the Hojatieh). The President’s advisor is known for his extremist views on Islam and promotes suicide bombings and attacks on civilians in the West.  There is only view of Islam for him. He once said, “…if anyone tells you their own interpretation of Islam, punch them in the mouth!”
President Ahmedinejad has in a short time acquired great many descriptors at home and overseas: zealot, fascist, fanatic, anti-Semitic, lunatic and more. One prominent Western columnist called him “unhinged.”  But we cannot just dismiss the man as an aberration, someone who is in urgent need of psychological help, a person out of touch with reality, who represents nothing of substance.
Once again the West is misreading and misjudging people and events in the Middle East, due to the fact that it views things through its own prism.

Looking at the man through Western spectacles, he indeed appears to be all of the above and more. Yet Ahmadinejad is far from unhinged. As a matter of fact he is firmly hinged to a set of beliefs that dictate his views of the world, and inform him how he should deal with it from his position of power.
An unhinged man has the potential of becoming once again hinged. But, there is very little that can be done to a person who is inseparably hinged, and Ahmadinejad views are firmly rooted in the most orthodox philosophy of Shiism.
For our purposes, however, it is sufficient to document the fact that Ahmadinejad is not mentally disturbed; there is no display of contradictory thoughts and behavior. There is a full internal consistency in Ahmadinejad. Ahmadinejad’s words, deeds and beliefs show a fully hinged person.
Below are a few examples of his sayings, beliefs and actions. Whether one agrees or disagrees with them, they all fit perfectly into a consistent pattern.

▪ He literally believes in the imminent emergence of the Mahdi – the Shiites’ promised one who is expected to appear to set aright a decadent and wretched world.

▪ He views himself as the vassal of Mahdi, working for him and being accountable to him.

▪ His main task is to prepare the world so to hasten the Mahdi’s coming. If this preparation requires much destruction and bloodshed, so be it.

▪ As a former mayor of Tehran, he developed elaborate detailed plans preparing the city for the arrival of the Mahdi.

▪ He allocated generous sums for extensive road improvement to a mosque at Jamkaaraan near the city of Qum where it is believed the promised Mahdi is hiding in a well since the age of nine, over 1100 years ago.

▪ He reportedly visits the well frequently and drops his written supplications into the well for the hidden Mahdi to act upon them.

▪ He has said in private that it was he who asked the Mahdi to inflict the massive stroke on Ariel Sharon.

▪ He sees the Jews as the sworn enemies of Islam. The hostility dates back to the time of Muhammad’s own treatment of the Jews in Medina. At first, expediently, Muhammad called the Jews “people of the book,” and accorded them a measure of tolerance until he gained enough power to unleash his devastating wrath on them.

▪ He says that the Holocaust is a myth. He is, in this respect, in good company with a number of other revisionist fanatics.

▪ He wants Israel to be wiped out of the map or transferred to Europe.

▪ In his speech at the UN general assembly, he implored the Mahdi to come and save the world. He claimed that during his speech of some twenty odd minutes, a powerful light enveloped him and all participants were held transfixed, unable to move their eyes.

▪ He believes that the earth is Allah’s and all people must either become believers of his brand of Islam or must perish as infidels najis (unclean) who by their very presence defile Allah’s earth.

▪ He believes that this earthly life is passing and worthless in comparison to the afterlife awaiting a devoted and faithful believer. Hence, he holds to the old belief that if a faithful kills an infidel, he goes to Allah’s paradise; and, if the faithful gets killed in the process of serving the faith, again he goes to Allah’s paradise. Hence, it is a win-win proposition for the faithful.
Ahmadinejad is a true devoted Muslim. Being unpredictable, self-contradictory and inconsistent are major symptoms of the mentally unhinged. By these standards of insanity, Ahmadinejad emerges as completely sane. He is fully predictable, consistent and has shown no self-contradiction. He does not even pretend that he misspoke or apologize for his outrageous statements. He is not a typical politician who practices the devious art of doublespeak, deception and change of position to suit his immediate convenience.
He knows who he is, what he believes, and what his own mission in life is: serving as the instrument for the revered Mahdi. Allah will make him emerge from the well as soon as the world’s conditions hit absolute hopeless bottom. Ahmadinejad sees himself as a driver who can play a critical role in doing just that, driving the world to the very bottom. And he plans on having an arsenal of nuclear weapons as soon as possible.

There is nothing really “unhinged” about Ahamadinejad’s thinking, statements and actions. They are internally consistent. He is simply a fanatic who is wedded to an extremely dangerous exclusionary system of belief. Humanity must learn that dismissing him as alunatic will result in great suffering, as it did with Hitler.
Tragically, Ahmadinejad is the embodiment of several million people who are hinged exactly like him and who are willing to give their lives, and take with them as many lives as required in the service of their belief.  In this age of Weapons of Mass Destruction a man with huge sums of petrodollars can serve as the catalyst of total annihilation.
Prudence would err on the side of being an alarmist than a complacent dismissive.
 
Ahmadinejad and his ilk are not interested in any negotiation, any compromise or any live-and-let-live final solution. They are determined to be the soldiers of Mahdi come-what-may. They have no problem with the total destruction of the world. They are headed for a life of eternal bliss in Allah’s paradise. They hardly care, even rejoice, if the rest of humanity is subjected to a tragic death in the nuclear, biological and chemical wasteland of planet earth.
Humanity cannot afford and must not ignore the emergence of the final threat to its very existence on this planet.

The Iran Conundrum

Underneath all conquests and expansions, underneath all the frivolous wars over religious differences, underneath all the oppression and tyranny, underneath all the motives of greed for wealth, underneath all the wars over injustices, lies one single drive: the will  to dominate. The passion to dominate, control and rule over one’s fellow humans is an ancient impulse. It goes back to prehistoric times when certain individuals had the desire to force their will upon those around them.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is not an exception to this rule. They, too, have ruled over defenseless Iranians for nearly 29 years with iron fists and absolute power and are not ready to relinquish this power before taking down millions of innocent lives with them.

The 7^th century barbaric rule of Sharia has caused millions of Iranians to flee their country. Those remaining have been subject to mass slaughtering, thousands upon thousands of fabricated arrests and thousands more torn away from their homes and their families. They have been subjected to tortures, made to confess to crimes they never committed, and then been either exterminated or sent back to medieval Islamic torture chambers where they simply faded away. It is difficult for many people to even talk about these horrible tragedies and genocides, which continue to exist to this date in Iran.
Similar to the Nazis who possessed a vast and destructive power apparatus, its new rival, the Islamic Republic, is on the same path of destroying the civilized world. Why the world “looks the other way” about the homicidal, genocidal actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a very good question many Iranians would like to have answered. Had the Nazis won the war, they would have slaughtered tens, perhaps hundreds of millions more around the world and enslaved the peoples of Poland, France, Ukraine, Russia and other countries, something the Islamic Republic is dreaming about.
In 1979, upon returning from his long exile, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini set the stage for gaining absolute power via primitive 7^th century Sharia or Islamic law and by employing hundreds of thousands of overzealous revolutionary guards and militia police to repress the opposition elements within the country. The year 1979 was the beginning of the rejuvenation of the evil empire of Islam in Iran.
The execution of thousands of prisoners of conscience by the direct order of the founder of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, reached its pinnacle in the summer of 1988. In his famous speech in 1988, Khomeini said, “Those who are in prisons throughout the country and remain committed to their support for the “Monafeqin” (anti-revolutionary) are waging war on Allah and are condemned to execution….Kill the enemies of Islam immediately. As regards the cases, use whichever criterion that speeds up the implementation of the [execution] verdict.”
Corruption and mismanagement, combined with the huge allocation of resources to acquire nuclear weapons, are bound to burden the country’s badly ailing economy that will likely bury the Mullahs in the rubble of their own making and grant them their death wish. Regrettably, these purveyors of death aim to hurt and kill many innocent people along the way to the same inevitable looming graves as their rival, the Nazis, ended up in.
Interestingly enough, the Islamic regime has no fear of foreign invasion. This is a very important piece of information for the west; ‘the only true fear within the rulers of the Islamic jihadists in Iran is coming from the Iranian people.’ What the world can do at this point is a huge question. Some suggest military solutions of various types, ranging from surgical bombings of Iran’s nuclear facilities, to military occupation of its oil-producing regions along the Persian Gulf, to a full occupation of the country.
Each and every one of these trigger-happy solutions is doomed to failure since they will play directly into the hands of the Mullahs. Any military action against Iran will encounter Iranians’ fierce sense of national pride that would rally the people to the support of the regime. Military actions would compound the problem by creating a greater worldwide Islamic solidarity against the perceived “Crusaders-Zionists” conspiracy.
The modern manifestation of the Islamic Caliphate has reincarnated into the “Islamic Republic” of Iran, which has been holding the majority of Iranians hostage for the past 29 years. The Islamofascists ruling the country hope to realize their expansionist master plan after defeating the people of Iran, and ultimately unleashing their reign of Islamic terror on the rest of the world in succession. Hence, the importance of Americas’ support for the Iranian people (not because of altruistic and an unselfish regard for others, but as self-interest) cannot be overemphasized.
Islam is no longer in its own self-made cage. It has broken out and has established a powerful presence in much of the non-Islamic world. Islam is a charter of submission. It is a sworn enemy of freedom and views western democracy as heresy. Freedom and tyranny are incompatible. We can no longer be complacent about events in a distant world affecting alien people. Distances are bridged and alien people are now diverse members of the human family.
That is how the Iranians learned first hand the meaning of Islamic justice. That is how the Iranian Muslims gained first hand experience of the rotten laws of Islam in their society. And that is why, after 29 years of incessant indoctrination of Islamic scripture, Iran has the largest anti-Islam and Sharia law population in the Muslim world, and a huge pro-western youth. However, some people have become skeptical of US policies after the recent US reaction to two brave Iranian asylum seekers at the US Embassy in Dubai.
The US Embassy in Dubai recently handed over to the Islamic authorities two of the bravest sons and heroes of Iran, Majid Kavousifar, 28, and his nephew, Hossein Kavousifar, 24, who were hanged for the alleged murder of a Islamic terrorist judge, Hassan Moghaddas.
Why the US Embassy handed over those two Iranian heroes to the Islamic authorities still remains a mystery in the minds of many Iranians. Could it be perhaps because they assassinated a murderous judge? Then, the next question that comes to mind is: when would a murder be justifiable? In denying asylum to these two young and brave heroes, the resulting series of events led to their deaths.  Thus, it is understandable that Iranian communities worldwide are expressing skepticism about the US’s good-will, these days.
In conclusion, the Mullahs’ Iran is the heart and the nerve center of the battle with the U.S. Any mistake by either side poses a great threat to the survival of the other. The best match for the ruthless Mullahs and their hired Islamic storm troopers are the Iranian warriors themselves. The people of Iran themselves are the best solution to the present Iranian conundrum. However, the valiant Iranians need a bit of help from the outside world, and they need it now.

So, to ensure we North Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80 year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents of the President’s security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim males between the ages 17 and 40 alone because profiling is discriminatory and not nice.

Let’s send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Allreds and other dunder-headed attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to thwart common sense, feel doubly ashamed of themselves – if they have any such sense.

THE U.S VS MEXICO : On February 15, 1998, the U.S. and Mexican soccer

teams met at the Los Angeles Coliseum.  The crowd was overwhelmingly

pro-Mexican even though most lived in this country.  They booed during the

National Anthem and U.S. flags were held upside down.

As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. team  were insulted, pelted with projectiles,

punched and spat upon.  Beer and trash  were thrown at the U.S. players

immigrants that came through Ellis Island.  They wanted to learn English.

They wanted to breath free. They wanted to become Americans.  Now too many

Immigrants come here with demands.  They demand to be taught in their own language.

They demand special privileges–affirmative action.  They demand ethnic

studies that glorify  their culture.

The sixth anniversary of Sept. 11 is not only a reminder of that infamous day, but of the need to understand our changing societies and how to address fear of terrorism.

In the weeks leading to this anniversary, German police arrested three Islamic youths and were looking for seven more on suspicion of plotting massive bombings against American and German targets. Just a few days earlier, Danish police arrested several people in the Copenhagen area for planning acts of terrorism.

What these arrests and many others in the world have in common is not the ethnic or national origin of the suspects. The common attribute of the suspects is that they are Muslims.

As we reflect on the events of Sept. 11 during this anniversary, I wish to discuss the central issue — that the suspects are young Muslims. The question to ask is this: Why would young Muslims in Denmark, Germany or other countries plot terrorist activities against countries that give them a relatively comfortable living?

For years many have blamed American foreign policy for terrorist activities. But the spread and threat of terrorism to countries whose foreign policies differ from our own force us to ponder.

Bin Laden’s tapes

The most recent videotaped messages by Osama bin Laden give us some answers. In his advanced message to the release of the last tape, bin Laden calls on Americans to convert to Islam. In the released tape he urged supporters to join the caravan of martyrs.

These calls for conversion are not extreme nor unique to the Islamic faith.

It is the nature of all religions to seek converts. Many religions that preach the doctrine of hereafter also see martyrdom as a measure of faith that would be rewarded. Christendom is replete with the history of sainted martyrs.

The uniqueness of Islam through its history is the concept of jihad, which is used internally and externally to achieve salvation in the hereafter.

Islam, the faith that means surrender, requires a total surrendering of one’s entire life and being. That is different from other faiths, which call on believers to have faith through internal transformation and the search for meaning as well as coexistence with nonbelievers. The Islamic faith does little to address coexistence either in its doctrines or practices.

So as impressionable young people convert to Islam or as devoted Muslims migrate to other societies, the reality of living with nonbelievers can easily become unbearable. Their response is to demand or expect that everyone convert to the faith or not question their expressions and lifestyle.

The expectation that there would be peace if everyone converts to Islam, though not supported by fact, continues to be central in the minds of many Islamic believers.

If simple conversion was enough to create peace, Islamic nations would be the most peaceful nations. This is not the case. Those who followed the Holy Prophet Muhammad resorted to violent conflicts soon after his death. Islam is therefore not monolithic.

Recent efforts to educate the international community about the peaceful nature of Islam are misdirected. If new Islamic converts in many countries see violence as a means of asserting their faith or hate, public attitudes of fear and suspicion would not change due to public appeals.

The focus should be to educate Islamic converts on the inevitability in modern societies of living and accommodating people of different faiths.

It is particularly important to Muslim immigrants to accept and be willing to adapt to the laws and customs of the new societies to which they migrate. This is a very difficult task as the faith gives little room to separate one’s faith from the rest of his or her life. Indeed, this may require modernization of some Islamic tenets.

Many of us who are Christians believe that our faith covers all aspects of our lives and should show in all that we do. Unfortunately, the separation of church and state in the United States demands that the practice of our faith not impose on other people’s faith or lack of it. It is our immigrant and Muslims converts who need to be educated about life in multicultural societies.

Islam-watch.orgThe West’s propensity for ignorance is nothing short of astounding when one considers that, in this first decade of the 21st century, a veritable gold mine of information, on any topic, is available at one’s fingertips via the internet. Never before have books on the subject of Islamic history and terrorism been so prolific, yet the same old dangerously erroneous opinions on the causes of Islamic violence remain as popular, uninformed and widespread as ever.

Seemingly unwilling to make the effort to research the true causes of modern Islamist violence, many in the West, including the media, are ever ready to proffer an autoethnophobic (cultural self-loathing) root-cause as to how “We Westerners must have, somehow, caused the problem and therefore deserve what we are getting”. The apologists, propagandists and appeasers continue to confidently promote the view that Islamic terrorism is born of, and nurtured by, poverty, social marginalisation, and Islamophobic bigotry. A raft of other exculpatory justifications for the current global violence is put forward with the one common theme that, in one way or another, the West is to blame and its chickens are simply coming home to roost. So when the recent revelation emerged that a number of medical professionals were involved in two failed terrorist attacks in Britain, the naively deluded went into a confused tailspin, scratching their, cognitively dissonant heads. Their beloved paradigm of the disempowered, impoverished and alienated Muslim now had more holes than a lace tablecloth. No doubt they are busily readjusting their theories to explain how these privileged, intelligent, middle-class professionals could be driven to their wits-end, and forced to lash out with such blind destructive fury at the “evil” West.

The number of medicos involved indicates that the Hippocratic Oath appears to be held in the same contempt as oaths of citizenship or, for that matter, any other. Of course, as emulators of their Prophet Muhammad’s example– an obligation incumbent on all Muslims– it’s little wonder that the dishonouring of one’s sworn oath is regarded so carelessly “By Allah, and Allah willing, if I take an oath and later find something else better than that. then I do what is better and expiate my oath” Sahih Bukhari 7:67:427.

True patriots and loyal citizens they can never be, as no sworn undertaking, irrespective of how solemn or binding, is capable of trumping a Muslim’s primary loyalty and overriding obligation to the “cause” of Islam. Nor is there anything novel in the involvement of medically trained jihadis in radical Islam.

A few prominent extremist doctors include:

• Dr. Ayman Al-Zawahiri–Al-Qaeda mastermind and number two man, a surgeon.
• Dr. Mohammad Rabi Al-Zawahiri–Ayman’s father and a Muslim Brotherhood enthusiast, pharmacologist and professor.
• Dr. “Abu Hafiza”– Moroccan psychiatrist andAl-Qaeda master planner.
• Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Rantisi–Late HAMAS leader, pediatrician;
• Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahar–HAMAS co-founder and leader, surgeon and lecturer at the Islamic University in Gaza;
• Dr. Fathi Abd Al-Aziz Shiqaqi- physician -Late founder of Islamic Jihad and active in Fatah.

Another widely accepted myth is that Islamic radicalism is merely an understandable and predictable response to post WW II Western foreign policy, particularly that of the United States due to its support for Israel and involvement in Iraq, Afghanistan etc. This simplistic explanation totally disregards the inflammatory effect of the radical Islamic ideologues of the 1920s, ‘30s and ‘40s, before America had any involvement with the Middle East and well before Israel even existed. The inescapable historical truth is that influential thinkers such as Hassan al Banna, Sayeed Qutb and Mualana Sayeed Abul Ala Maududi were the modern revivalists of an ideology as old as Islam itself ; an ideology founded on the belief of Islamic superiority with its dream of world domination. It was the later Saudi and Iranian windfall oil wealth that allowed those countries to promote, finance and export radical Wahabbi and Khomeinist armed jihad to countries both within and outside the Middle East, Hizbollah being a prime example. Hassan al Banna’s al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun (Muslim Brotherhood) is indisputably the progenitor of all modern radical Islamist groups.

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and Maududi’s Jamaat-e-Islami in Pakistan sought to restore the Islamic theocratic ideal, namely the union of religion and state, whilst conveniently blaming the decline of Muslim societies on the contrary secular Western idea of the separation of church and state. Qutb and Maududi inspired a whole generation of Islamists, including Ayatollah Khomeini, who developed an Iranian version of their works in the 1970s.

Despite the gullible Westerner’s certitude that terrorist attacks are “all to do with Iraq and Afghanistan”, they are, in fact, all about Islam’s desire to rule the world as a borderless Caliphate. Whenever the willfully deluded Westerner or duplicitous Muslim seeks to explain away these terrorists attacks as reactions to U.S or British foreign policy, simply ask them what it was that precipitated the first world trade centre attack in 1993 – ten years before Iraq and eight years before the U.S. became involved in Afghanistan!

What was it in Khomeini ‘s revolution , if not expansionist ideology, that refused to be satisfied with their stated objective of ridding Iran of the Shah and Western influence, but then, going on to spread Islamic revolution to the rest of the world ?

Khomeini tells us that:

“Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to paradise, which can be opened only for holy warriors!

There are hundreds of other [Koranic] psalms and hadiths urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.”

“Islam grew with blood . . . . The great prophet of Islam in one hand carried the Koran and in the other a sword . . . . Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels but a religion of guidance for other people.”

—Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

But of all the ideologues whose works were a source of radical inspiration to tens, if not hundreds, of millions, Maududi is the most direct and unambiguous in his description of Islam’s ultimate aspirations:

“Islam is not a normal religion like the other religions in the world and Muslim nations are not like normal nations. Muslim nations are very special because they have a command from Allah to rule the entire world and to be over every nation in the world.”

“Islam wishes to destroy all States and Governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and programme of Islam regardless of the country or the Nation which rules it. The purpose of Islam is to set up a State on the basis of its own ideology and programme, regardless of which Nation assumes the role of the standard bearer of Islam or the rule of which nation is undermined in the process of the establishment of an ideological Islamic State.”

“Islam is a revolutionary faith that comes to destroy any government made by man. Islam doesn’t look for a nation to be in a better condition than another nation. Islam doesn’t care about the land or who owns the land. The goal of Islam is to rule the entire world and submit all of mankind to the faith of Islam. Any nation or power that gets in the way of that goal, Islam will fight and destroy. In order to fulfill that goal, Islam can use every power available every way it can be used to bring worldwide revolution. This is Jihad.”

The following comments, by other prominent Muslims, leave us in no doubt how widely these views are held.

“One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere. And they will not go there as friends. Because they will go there to conquer it. And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory.”

—Hussein Massawi, the former Hezbollah leader behind the slaughter of U.S. and French forces 20 years ago.

—Sheikh Abdullah Azzam— (Osama bin Laden’s late mentor.)

“Allah revealed Islam in order that humanity could be governed according to it. Unbelief is darkness and disorder. So the unbelievers, if they are not suppressed, create disorder. That is why the Muslims are responsible for the implementation of Allah’s Law on the planet, that humanity may be governed by it, as opposed to corrupt man-made laws. The Muslims must make all efforts to establish the religion of Allah on the earth”

And finally, Anjem Choudary, Omar Bakri Mohammed’s successor, claim Islam’s sovereignty in the U.K. and U.S.A.

What is it in these clear statements of intent that Western people find so hard to comprehend and come to terms with?
