ALL EUROPEAN   LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ

The following   is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian
Vilar Rodriguez   and published in a Spanish newspaper on Jan. 15, 2008.
It doesn’t take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the rest of
Europe – and possibly to the rest of the   world.

ALL EUROPEAN LIFE DIED IN AUSCHWITZ By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez

I walked   down the street in Barcelona , and suddenly discovered a   terrible
truth – Europe died in Auschwitz   . We killed six million Jews and replaced
them with 20 million Muslims.. In   Auschwitz we burned a culture,   thought,
creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen,   because
they produced great and wonderful people who changed the   world.

The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life:   science, art,
international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the   world. These
are the people we burned.

And under the pretense of   tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to
ourselves that we were cured   of the disease of racism, we opened our gates
to 20 million Muslims, who   brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious
extremism and lack of   tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness
to work and support   their families with pride.

They have blown up our trains and turned our   beautiful Spanish cities into
the third world, drowning in filth and   crime.

Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government,   they plan
the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus,   in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred,
creative   skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness   and
superstition.

We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews   of Europe and their
talent for a better   future for their children, their determined clinging to
life because life   is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed
by the desire for   death for themselves and others, for our children and
theirs.

What a   terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe   ..

The Jews are NOT promoting brain-washing children in   military training
camps, teaching them how to blow themselves up and cause   the maximum number
of deaths of Jews and other non-Muslims. The Jews don’t   hijack planes, nor
kill athletes at the Olympics, or blow themselves up in   German restaurants.
There is NOT one single Jew who has destroyed a church.   There is NOT a
single Jew who protests by killing people.

The Jews   don’t traffic slaves, nor have leaders calling for Jihad and death
to all   the Infidels.

Perhaps the world’s Muslims should consider investing   more in standard
education and less in blaming the Jews for all their   problems.

Muslims must ask ‘what can they do for humankind’ before they   demand that
humankind respects them.

Regardless of your feelings   about the crisis between Israel and the
Palestinians and   Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more
culpability on Israel ‘s part, the following two   sentences really say it
all:

‘If the Arabs put down their weapons   today, there would be no more violence.
If the Jews put down their weapons   today, there would be no more Israel ..”
Benjamin   Netanyahu

When the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General   Dwight Eisenhower,
found the victims of the death camps, he ordered all   possible photographs to
be taken and for the German people from surrounding   villages to be ushered
through the camps and even made to bury the   dead.

He did this because he said in words to this effect:

‘Get   it all on record now – get the films – get the witnesses –   because
somewhere down the road of history some bastard will get up and say   that
this never happened.’

Recently, the UK   debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school
curriculum because   it ‘offends’ the Muslim population, which claims it never
occurred. It is   not removed as yet. However, this is a frightening portent
of the fear that   is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving
in to   it.

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in   Europe ended.
This e-mail is being sent as   a memorial chain, in memory of the 6 million
Jews, 20 million Russians, 10   million Christians, and 1,900 Catholic priests
who were ‘murdered, raped,   burned, starved, beaten, experimented on and
humiliated’ while the German   people looked the other way.

Now more than ever, with Iran   among others, claiming the Holocaust is ‘a myth,’ it is imperative to make   sure the world never forgets.

This e-mail is intended to reach 400   million people. Be a link in the
memorial chain and help distribute this   around the world.

How many years will it be before the attack on the   World   Trade Center ‘NEVER
HAPPENED’ because it   offends some Muslim in the United States ?

MASON, Texas (AP) — On a YouTube clip that has gone viral, brash Texas handgun instructor Crockett Keller defiantly tells Muslims and non-Christian Arabs he won’t teach them how to handle a firearm.

State officials see the ad as possible discrimination, and may revoke Keller’s instructor license.

Tens of thousands of YouTube viewers have watched the $175 ad for Keller’s business in the small community of Mason, which has won him a handful of admirers but that embarrassed locals say misrepresents their community. Muslim groups dismissed the 65-year-old as a bigot.

Among the couple of thousand residents in the Central Texas town, Keller has other reputations.

“He’s a character and likes attention,” said Diane Eames, a jeweler with a downtown shop in Mason’s quaint town square.

Keller has received plenty of attention since his radio spot on a rural country music station in Mason County, about 100 miles east of Austin, went viral on the Internet. Keller said he whipped up the script on his iPad in 10 minutes. The ad quit airing last week.

“If you are a socialist liberal and/or voted for the current campaigner-in-chief, please do not take this class,” Keller says in the ad’s closing seconds, also taking a swipe at President Barack Obama. “You’ve already proven that you cannot make a knowledgeable and prudent decision as required under the law. Also, if you are a non-Christian Arab or Muslim, I will not teach you this class. Once again, with no shame, I am Crockett Keller.”

The Texas Council on American-Islamic Relations called the ad ugly rhetoric undeserving of media attention. Others have called Keller’s phone number from the ad to personally tell him worse, including alleged death threats.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is now investigating whether to revoke or suspend Keller’s license to teach concealed handgun courses.

“Conduct by an instructor that denied service to individuals on the basis of race, ethnicity or religion would place that instructor’s certification by the Department at risk of suspension or revocation,” the department said in a statement.

Inside a remote highway cabin on the edge of the Llano River, where a draped, full-size cannon is parked across from his desk, Keller said he was inspired to make the ad after being “flabbergasted” by a couple neighbors who left the state to campaign for Obama. As for refusing to teach Muslims, Keller described that as an afterthought tacked onto the spot, which he couldn’t remember but said was likely generated from something in the news.

“I got to thinking, ‘Hmm, I’m arming the enemy,’” Keller said.

Of course, even Keller knows that Muslims were unlikely to show up at his door asking to take his $100 course.

Mason County, as Eames described it, is “white bread” — the population was 93 percent Caucasian in the latest census, and all Republican statewide candidates won with at least 70 percent of the vote in 2010. Keller said he wasn’t aware of any Muslims in Mason County, nor could a handful of locals name one.

Eames and Joyce Arnold, a real estate agent, said they worried about the radio spot embarrassing the city. Eames ran what she described as a successful sex-toy business in Mason before opening the jewelry store, and Scott Haupert, co-owner of the Sandstone Cellars Winery, said Mason is more tolerant than Keller’s comments would suggest.

“I voted for Obama and I’ll vote for Obama again,” said Haupert, an avowed Democrat. “If I signed up to take his gun control class, he would not reject me.”

But Keller has also won over some fans. As he spoke with a reporter in his cabin, rancher Clyde McCarley knocked on his door and asked about signing up for a class.

“It’s mighty dadgum interesting to me that some people can say anything they want, and you make a statement and they bring down the house on you,” McCarley said.

Mustafaa Carroll, executive director of the Texas Council on American-Islamic Relations, said the group is watching how the state responds to Keller’s ad and whether the agency revokes his instructor license.

“We try not to give too much credibility to some of these people who do outlandish things,” Carroll said. “But there are some issues that we do have to address.”

The United States Department of Justice, which
includes the Federal Bureau Of Investigation (the FBI) and the National Security
Division, has been
ordered
to remove all references to Islam from any
examination of Islamic terror in its training materials and procedures. That
means investigation of the Islamic beliefs, motives and goals of Islamic
terrorists in the U.S. is verboten in the Department Of Justice and the rest of
the Federal Government because accurate, knowledgeable, honest and objective
discussion of Islam has been forbidden and is no longer possible there. Islam
cannot be examined in depth or criticized in any way, shape or form and woe
betide any government employee who does.

Beyond that, Islamic apologists and supremacists whose
purpose is to turn America into an Islamic state governed by Islamic Law are the
only people the government allows to speak about Islam to its employees and they
present a distorted and totally false portrait of it which has nothing to do
with reality and history and everything to do with bringing about the downfall
of the country.

These edicts come straight from the top, straight from
President Obama, and they are a clear, unequivocal threat to freedom of speech
and freedom of expression and the survival of the United States as a free,
democratic, secular, pluralistic nation. Thanks to Obama, the tyranny of Islam
has come to the Federal Government and if Americans aren’t careful it will come
to the rest of the country as well. It is entirely predictable that Obama will
attempt to extend these edicts in some form to the American people
themselves…if he is allowed to get away with it the United States is doomed,
pure and simple. Islam and Islamists are evil personified and the U.S. is in a
war for survival with them, even if Obama doesn’t want you to think so and won’t
allow you to say so.

Memo to Americans: vote the bum out of office and
fight him at every turn because if you don’t there won’t be an America
left.

And don’t forget, as America goes so goes the
world.

ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION LIKE OTHER RELIGIONS AND A MOSQUE IS NOT LIKE A CHURCH

ISLAM IS NOT  A RELIGION LIKE OTHER RELIGIONS
AND A MOSQUE  IS NOT LIKE A CHURCH
At the root of opposition to mosques that is now beginning to be voiced  around the country is the fear that Islam might just not be the religion of  peace that our misguided political leaders say it is or that Islamic spokesmen  from the Moslem advocacy organizations say it is. People fear that Islam is not  just another religion like Christianity or Buddhism or whatever. These fears are  well-founded; and Islamic scholars are the first ones to tell us that Islam  is NOT a religion like other religions.
For example, Yusuf Qaradawi (the most influential Muslim cleric in the  world today, the spiritual head of the Muslim Brotherhood who is admired by Imam  Rauf of the Ground Zero Mosque project) said: Islam is not a religion in the common, distorted meaning of the  word, confining its scope only to the private life of man. By saying that it is  a complete way of life, we mean that it caters for all the fields of human  existence. In fact, Islam provides guidance for all walks of life — individual  and social, material and moral, economic and political, legal and cultural,  national and international.”
This “complete way of life” is the all-encompassing Sharia sacred Islamic  law which, among other things, calls for the legal subordination of  non-Moslems to Moslems and of women to men; it requires death for homosexuals,  apostates and blasphemers. And, it calls for eternal war (jihad) against  non-Moslems until Islamic law dominates throughout the world. These doctrines  all come from the Koran and the sayings of Muhammad which are preached and  taught in every mosque in the world, and will be taught in the Ground Zero  mosque.
People need to understand why Islam is unique and not like other religions.  Then they would know that mosques are not like churches because mosques  are centers for the propagation of sharia law. Mosques are  centers for the propagation of Islamic supremacist ideology, and they should be  treated like other centers for the propagation of supremacist, violent and  imperialist ideology, such as the Communist Party or the Nazi Party.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once famously said, “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets,  the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our  soldiers.”
The most influential Islamic religious authority in the world  today, Yusuf Qaradawi, wrote:

“The mosque at the time of the Prophet was  his propagation center, the headquarters of the state, as it was for his  successors, the rightly guided Khalifas, the mosque was their base for all their  activities political as well as non-political…. the mission of the mosque as  required by correct Islam is not an isolation from the politics… From ancient  times the mosque has had a role in jihad for the sake of Allah, resisting the  enemies of this religion from the invading occupiers. That blessed Intifada in  the land of the prophets, Palestine, started from none other but the mosques,  and it first all came from the minarets and it was first known as the mosque  revolution. The mosque’s role in the Afghan jihad, and every Islamic jihad  cannot be denied.”

It is not religious bigotry to expose the religious bigotry of Islam; it is  ideological self-defense.

Responding to the Mullahs’ Jihad in America

Responding to the Mullahs’ Jihad in America

After recovering from the shock of the foiled Iranian terror plot, the real questions emerge:

(1) How prepared are we for future attacks?

(2) How likely is it that more attacks will be launched?

And most importantly:

(3) How will the U.S. now respond?

The plot clearly demonstrates the Iranian regime’s disposition toward the United States. Had the Iranians been successful in their planned executions, it would have been a large-scale terror attack on U.S. soil. They might not have succeeded this time, but now we must worry about their next plan — and whether it will be carried out by Iranians or by copycat terrorists.

If the Iranian regime’s sole goal was to knock out the Saudi ambassador, Adel Al-Jubeir, they could have done so in an easier place with less security, vigilance and national intelligence. They could have followed him to an obscure venue. Yet they chose to make a point. They chose to carry out the attack on U.S. soil, to bomb the Israeli Embassy and to kill some American citizens while they were at it.

Even if the U.S. calls this an act of war, the American government cannot respond as such. In the case of Iran, the U.S. still maintains that “all options” are on the table, which acknowledges the option of a military attack.  But it would help us to focus more on the other options, namely, non-militaristic aggression, even though many believe sanctions have not been effective in combating the Iranian government. There is evidence to prove that sanctions have in fact choked off the regime in various ways. However, in order to truly benefit from sanctions, the U.S. would have to better enforce them, apply them more strategically in areas such as banking and travel and to freeze assets.

The U.S. could also employ the help of other nations who have ducked out of the responsibility of punishing this global enemy.  Lastly, and most importantly, the U.S. should not forget the easiest and most powerful tool in combating the Iranian regime: its 70 million disenchanted people.  While the Mullahs’ regime in Tehran may have deep support, both financially and through an extensive network of clergy and Revolutionary Guardsmen, the people of Iran and their desire to break free from this tyrannical regime is far more widespread across a large and vibrant population.

Manssor Arbabsiar, one of the two men charged in the “international murder-for-hire scheme,”  was a man who lived in Texas for decades. He sold used cars and was part of a community. Further investigations will have to look closely at Iran’s tentacles working in the U.S. Currently, there are hundreds of known former IRGC generals and officers living in this country with green cards and citizenship status, in addition to thousands of their close relatives, many of whom send their children to attend this country’s best universities.  They are the eyes and ears of the Iranian government and in this case the enabler of a convoluted terror plot. The question then arises: Why and how does the U.S. allow these individuals to enter and live in this country when it is well known that the average person currently has trouble getting even a tourist’s visa to come visit family here in the States?

A more recent entanglement that was brought to light is Iran’s presence in South and Central America and more frighteningly, its involvement with some of the world’s most dangerous drug cartels.  An anonymous source has explained that there is a huge network of Iranian intelligence and IRGC forces in Mexico close to the border with the U.S. The job of these networks is to gather intelligence, smuggle agents into the U.S., launder money for the cartels, and even bribe Mexican politicians to affect elections in Mexico.  Aside from the terror cells that we now know exist, we must take into consideration the military implications of having the IRGC present on the U.S./Mexico border.

We are in a situation in which this attempted terror attack can be seen as an act of war. We have tried the path of negotiation with Iran’s government, but that has been rejected numerous times. Over  time and by remaining inactive, we have become soft and irrelevant in  the eyes of the Iranian regime, which is carrying on with its nuclear  program and cracking down on protesters who dare voice their hunger for freedom. We waited and let them corner us, and we allowed them to take the first  shot. Remaining idle at this point would set us back farther and will  allow Iran to boldly continue with its nuclear and terrorist ambitions.   What the U.S. does right now in retaliation will be crucial in defining  the ties between Iran and the U.S.

Who Is Behind Barack Obama’s Rise to Stardom?

By Victor Thorn

Is Barack Obama the product of a vast socialist
conspiracy designed to undermine the fundamental tenets established by our
Founding Fathers, all bankrolled and organized by elite financiers? The answer
is unequivocally yes.

To deconstruct this labyrinth-like network, one
must start at the top with global slash and burn speculator George Soros and his
ties to the world’s most powerful banking family. Journalist, historian and
economic researcher William Engdahl sets the stage.

“Soros has been
identified as a front man for the Rothschild banking group. Understandably,
neither he nor the Rothschilds wants this important fact to be public.” He
continues, “Soros’s connection to the ultra-secret international finance circles
of the Rothschilds is not just an ordinary or accidental banking
connection.”

Finally, in a November 1, 1996 article, Engdahl writes,
“From the very first days when Soros created his own investment fund in 1969, he
owed his success to his relation to the Rothschild family banking network.”

Soros, through his Open Society Institute, funnels approximately $300
million a year into various liberal venues, including the influential
MoveOn.org, which he owns. According to veteran researcher Anton Chaitkin, Soros
also hand-picked Barack Obama to challenge Hillary Clinton (and ultimately
defeat GOP nominee John McCain). On Sept. 5, 2008, he wrote, “Barack Obama came
under special Soros sponsorship in the 2004 U.S. Senate race [and] raised
$60,000 for his campaign.” After attaining victory, Obama met personally with
Soros, then attended a fundraiser at his home.

Chaitkin elaborates further in
“Soros Runs British Foreign Office Coup Against U.S. Elections,” an online
article. “On December 4, 2006, two years after getting into the U.S. Senate,
Barack Obama went to Soros’s New York office to be interviewed for higher
office. Soros then took Obama into a conference room for other politically
subordinate billionaires. With money and connections assured, Obama announced
for the presidency soon afterward.”

Lets look at the words of Michelle
Obama from a June 19, 2008 speech. She said, “We’re going to have to change our
traditions and our history.” She explained further on Aug. 25, 2008. “All of us
are driven by a simple belief that the world as it is just won’t do. We have an
obligation to fight for the world as it should be.”

Who, precisely, will
determine how our world should be? Mrs. Obama’s poignant phrase was lifted
directly from Saul Alinsky, a Chicago-based Jewish extremist who penned the
handbook for far-left causes, Rules for Radicals.

To implement
his plans to undermine America, an intricate network needed to be established
that would spread its tentacles throughout every aspect of society. One of the
primary vehicles they utilized was the Tides Foundation, to which Soros
contributed $13 million from 1997-2003. Established by Jewish antiwar activist
Drummond Pike in 1976, this tax-exempt organization serves a very important
function. According to researcher Ben Johnson of Front Page Magazine in
September 2004, they “allow high-profile individuals to fund extremist
organizations by ‘laundering’ their money through Tides, leaving no paper
trail.”

In essence, after taking a 10 percent cut, Tides has fed over
$300 million to entities such as cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal, MoveOn.org and
those who advocate abortion-on-demand, all the while assuring contributors
that
they won’t be publicly linked to these causes. One look at the Tide
Foundation’s board reveals who calls the shots.

Drummond, senior vice
president Gary Schwartz, and executive vice president Ellen Friedman are all
Jewish. Pike also used his leverage to bail out ACORN’s welfare rights leader
Wade Rathke, after he embezzled $948,507. To protect Rathke, ACORN

never contacted law enforcement officials or sought
prosecution. Instead, Stephanie Strom of The New York Times wrote on Aug.
17, 2008, “The organization announced that an anonymous supporter had agreed” to
pay off the debt. That man was Drummond Pike. To cover their tracks, Arthur
Schwartz (also Jewish) now coordinates their slippery public
relations.

Of course, Barack Obama began his political career as the
chief national trainer for ACORN, which now faces lawsuits in 14 states for
voter fraud. Obama’s mentor as a community organizer in Chicago was Gerald
Kellman, a Saul Alinksy protegé. To begin his meteoric rise toward the White
House, money originated from what Clarice Feldman of American Thinker calls the
“Gang of Four”— Soros, Peter Lewis, Stephen Bing and Herbert & Marion
Sandler. All are Jewish billionaires.

One of Obama’s most important
backers was Marilyn Katz (Jewish), who oversaw security for the SDS (Students
for a Democratic Society) and advocated violent guerrilla tactics toward the
police (as did Obama associate William Ayers of the Weather Underground). Katz
became a fundraising bundler for Obama, as well as hosting fundraisers and
serving as an Illinois delegate at the 2008 Democratic National
Convention.

The Tides Foundation controls the San Francisco-based Apollo
Alliance,
which “absolutely believes that government is the solution to all
social and economic problems.”

On July 28, Phil Kerpen of Americans for
Prosperity described how the “Apollo Alliance is designed to bring together the
elements of organized labor with community organizers and green groups.” More
importantly, Kerpen revealed that the Apollo Alliance “put out a draft stimulus
bill in 2008 . . . that included almost everything that ended up being in the
final stimulus bill.”

Van Jones, Obama’s new “green jobs czar,” described
the Apollo Alliance as a “grand unified field theory for progressive left
causes.” Who exactly is Van Jones? After participating in the 1992 L.A. riots
(for which he was arrested and incarcerated), Jones told the East Bay Express on
November 2, 2005, “I met all these young radical people of color—I mean, really
radical Communists and anarchists. And it was like: this is what I need to be
part of. I spent the next 10 years of my life working with
a lot of these
people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary. I was a rowdy black
revolutionary on April 28th, and when the verdicts came down on April 29th, I
was a Communist.”

To round out this list, the SEIU (Service Employees
International Union) is primarily responsible for what is contained in Obama’s
socialized health care bill. Andy Stern and Anna Burger lead the SEIU, both of
whom are Jewish cronies of George Soros. Their vice president is Gerald Hudson
(Jewish). Pushing this bill and the stimulus package to various media outlets is
Robert Borosage (Jewish) of the Institute for America’s Future (also a huge
recipient of Soros’s funding). Overseeing the housing and banking industries is
none other than Barney Frank (Jewish), chairman of the House Financial Services
Committee. Last but not least, Key members of Obama’s inner circle—David
Axelrod, Lawrence Summers and Rahm Emanuel are Jewish and
Bilderberg.

Putting this complicated matter into perspective is
educational theorist
and critic David Solway. On July 7, 2009 he wrote, “We
Jews are
a sly and surreptitious people . It pains me to admit this, but
candor compels. . . . [T]he best way to bring America to its knees, to weaken
its will to survive, to cleverly turn it against itself, was to do everything in
our considerable arsenal of means to deliver the White House to Barack
Obama.”

The conspiracy has been completed, and now the Jewish
Rothschild-Soros connection controls voter registration (ACORN), money
laundering (Tides), billions in stimulus spending (Apollo), possibly the future
of health care (SEIU), finance (Franks), and the Oval Office’s inner workings
(Emanuel, Axelrod and Summers).

A future for drones: Automated killing

A future for drones: Automated killing

By , Published: September 19

One afternoon last fall at Fort Benning, Ga., two model-size planes took off,
climbed to 800 and 1,000 feet, and began criss-crossing the military base in
search of an orange, green and blue tarp.

The automated, unpiloted planes worked on their own, with no human guidance,
no hand on any control.

After 20 minutes, one of the aircraft, carrying a computer that processed
images from an onboard camera, zeroed in on the tarp and contacted the second
plane, which flew nearby and used its own sensors to examine the colorful
object. Then one of the aircraft signaled to an unmanned car on the ground so it
could take a final, close-up look.

Target confirmed.

This successful exercise in autonomous robotics could presage the future of
the American way of war: a day when drones hunt, identify and kill the enemy
based on calculations made by software, not decisions made by humans. Imagine
aerial “Terminators,” minus beefcake and time travel.

The Fort Benning tarp “is a rather simple target, but think of it as a
surrogate,” said Charles E. Pippin, a scientist at the Georgia Tech Research
Institute, which developed the software to run the demonstration. “You can
imagine real-time scenarios where you have 10 of these things up in the air and
something is happening on the ground and you don’t have time for a human to say,
‘I need you to do these tasks.’ It needs to happen faster than that.”

The demonstration laid the groundwork for scientific advances that would
allow drones to search for a human target and then make an identification based
on facial-recognition or other software. Once a match was made, a drone could
launch a missile to kill the target.

Military systems with some degree of autonomy — such as robotic, weaponized
sentries — have been deployed in the demilitarized zone between South and North
Korea and other potential battle areas. Researchers are uncertain how soon
machines capable of collaborating and adapting intelligently in battlefield
conditions will come online. It could take one or two decades, or longer. The
U.S. military is funding numerous research projects on autonomy to develop
machines that will perform some dull or dangerous tasks and to maintain its
advantage over potential adversaries who are also working on such systems.

The killing of terrorism suspects and insurgents by armed drones, controlled
by pilots sitting in bases thousands of miles away in the western United States,
has prompted criticism that the technology makes war too antiseptic. Questions
also have been raised about the legality of drone strikes when employed in
places such as Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia, which are not at war with the United
States. This debate will only intensify as technological advances enable what
experts call lethal autonomy.

The prospect of machines able to perceive, reason and act in unscripted
environments presents a challenge to the current understanding of international
humanitarian law. The Geneva Conventions require belligerents to use
discrimination and proportionality, standards that would demand that machines
distinguish among enemy combatants, surrendering troops and civilians.

“The deployment of such systems would reflect a paradigm shift and a major
qualitative change in the conduct of hostilities,” Jakob Kellenberger, president
of the International Committee of the Red Cross, said at a conference in Italy
this month. “It would also raise a range of fundamental legal, ethical and
societal issues, which need to be considered before such systems are developed
or deployed.”

Drones flying over Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen can already move
automatically from point to point, and it is unclear what surveillance or other
tasks, if any, they perform while in autonomous mode. Even when directly linked
to human operators, these machines are producing so much data that processors
are sifting the material to suggest targets, or at least objects of interest.
That trend toward greater autonomy will only increase as the U.S. military
shifts from one pilot remotely flying a drone to one pilot remotely managing
several drones at once.

But humans still make the decision to fire, and in the case of CIA strikes in
Pakistan, that call rests with the director of the agency. In future operations,
if drones are deployed against a sophisticated enemy, there may be much less
time for deliberation and a greater need for machines that can function on their
own.

The U.S. military has begun to grapple with the implications of emerging
technologies.

“Authorizing a machine to make lethal combat decisions is contingent upon
political and military leaders resolving legal and ethical questions,” according
to an Air Force treatise called Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Plan 2009-2047.
“These include the appropriateness of machines having this ability, under what
circumstances it should be employed, where responsibility for mistakes lies and
what limitations should be placed upon the autonomy of such systems.”

In the future, micro-drones will reconnoiter tunnels and buildings, robotic
mules will haul equipment and mobile systems will retrieve the wounded while
under fire. Technology will save lives. But the trajectory of military research
has led to calls for an arms-control regime to forestall any possibility that
autonomous systems could target humans.

In Berlin last year, a group of robotic engineers, philosophers and human
rights activists formed the International Committee for Robot Arms Control
(ICRAC) and said such technologies might tempt policymakers to think war can be
less bloody.

Some experts also worry that hostile states or terrorist organizations could
hack robotic systems and redirect them. Malfunctions also are a problem: In
South Africa in 2007, a semiautonomous cannon fatally shot nine friendly
soldiers.

The ICRAC would like to see an international treaty, such as the one banning
antipersonnel mines, that would outlaw some autonomous lethal machines. Such an
agreement could still allow automated antimissile systems.

“The question is whether systems are capable of discrimination,” said Peter
Asaro, a founder of the ICRAC and a professor at the New School in New York who
teaches a course on digital war. “The good technology is far off, but technology
that doesn’t work well is already out there. The worry is that these systems are
going to be pushed out too soon, and they make a lot of mistakes, and those
mistakes are going to be atrocities.”

Research into autonomy, some of it classified, is racing ahead at
universities and research centers in the United States, and that effort is
beginning to be replicated in other countries, particularly China.

“Lethal autonomy is inevitable,” said Ronald C. Arkin, the author of
“Governing Lethal Behavior in Autonomous Robots,” a study that was funded by the
Army Research Office.

Arkin believes it is possible to build ethical military drones and robots,
capable of using deadly force while programmed to adhere to international
humanitarian law and the rules of engagement. He said software can be created
that would lead machines to return fire with proportionality, minimize
collateral damage, recognize surrender, and, in the case of uncertainty,
maneuver to reassess or wait for a human assessment.

In other words, rules as understood by humans can be converted into
algorithms followed by machines for all kinds of actions on the battlefield.

“How a war-fighting unit may think — we are trying to make our systems behave
like that,” said Lora G. Weiss, chief scientist at the Georgia Tech Research
Institute.

Others, however, remain skeptical that humans can be taken out of the loop.

“Autonomy is really the Achilles’ heel of robotics,” said Johann Borenstein,
head of the Mobile Robotics Lab at the University of Michigan. “There is a lot
of work being done, and still we haven’t gotten to a point where the smallest
amount of autonomy is being used in the military field. All robots in the
military are remote-controlled. How does that sit with the fact that autonomy
has been worked on at universities and companies for well over 20 years?”

Borenstein said human skills will remain critical in battle far into the
future.

“The foremost of all skills is common sense,” he said. “Robots don’t have
common sense and won’t have common sense in the next 50 years, or however long
one might want to guess.”

GOP candidates Perry and Romney assail Obama on Israel

GOP candidates Perry and Romney assail Obama on Israel

NEW YORK (AP) — Republican presidential candidates Rick Perry and Mitt Romney waded into a tense foreign policy dispute Tuesday by criticizing the Palestinian Authority’s effort to seek a formal recognition of statehood by the U.N. General Assembly.

The Republican rivals also used the jockeying at the U.N. to assail President Barack Obama’s policy toward Israel.

Perry, the Texas governor and Republican front-runner, is pledging in a speech in New York strong support for Israel and criticizing Obama for demanding concessions from the Jewish state that Perry says emboldened the Palestinians to seek recognition by the U.N.

“We are indignant that certain Middle Eastern leaders have discarded the principle of direct negotiations between the sovereign nation of Israel and the Palestinian leadership,” Perry said in excerpts provided by one of his aides to The Associated Press. “And we are equally indignant that the Obama administration’s Middle East policy of appeasement has encouraged such an ominous act of bad faith.”

In a written statement before Perry spoke, Romney called the diplomatic maneuvering at the United Nations this week an “unmitigated diplomatic disaster.” The former Massachusetts governor also accused Obama’s administration of “repeated efforts over three years to throw Israel under the bus and undermine its negotiating position.”

“That policy must stop now,” Romney said.

The two Republicans who lead in early polls for the Republican nomination, as well as their lesser-known opponents, are intent on showing they stand strongly behind Israel, an effort to appeal to Jewish voters and donors who play a pivotal role in presidential elections. So they’re trying to grab a share of the spotlight as the Palestinians push for statehood this week at the U.N.

Perry and Romney weighed in as Obama was in New York for meetings on the sidelines of the General Assembly. He planned to meet later in the week with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The U.S. has promised a veto in the Security Council, but the Palestinians can press for a more limited recognition of statehood before the full — and much more supportive — General Assembly. The Obama administration has pushed hard for countries around the world to block the Palestinian bid, and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Monday there was still time to avert a divisive showdown.

Obama has been criticized by Republicans and many pro-Israel activists for seeming to push the Jewish state harder than the Palestinians to make compromises to achieve peace. Among other things, Obama has called on Israel to cease building housing settlements in the West Bank and to negotiate the scope of the Palestinian state using 1967 borders as a starting point — a diplomatic position the U.S. has long maintained but one that has never before been explicitly embraced by a U.S. president.

Complaints about Obama’s Israel policy helped a Republican, Bob Turner, win a special election in a heavily Jewish and Democratic New York congressional district last week.

“It’s vitally important for America to preserve alliances with leaders who seek to preserve peace and stability in the region,” Perry said in the speech. “But today, neither adversaries nor allies know where America stands. Our muddle of a foreign policy has created great uncertainty in the midst of the Arab Spring.”

Romney called on Obama to unequivocally reaffirm the U.S. commitment to Israel’s security and promise to cut foreign assistance to the Palestinians if they succeed in getting U.N. recognition. He also called for the United States to re-evaluate its funding of U.N. programs and its relationship with any nation voting in favor of recognition.

All the wrong 9/11 lessons

All the wrong 9/11 lessons

Are your kids learning the right lessons about 9/11? Ten years after Osama bin Laden’s henchmen murdered thousands of innocents on American soil, too many children have been spoon-fed the thin gruel of progressive political correctness over the stiff antidote of truth.

“Know your enemy, name your enemy” is a 9/11 message that has gone unheeded. Our immigration and homeland security policies refuse to profile jihadi adherents at foreign consular offices and at our borders. Our military leaders refuse to expunge them from uniformed ranks until it’s too late (see: Fort Hood massacre). The j-word is discouraged in Obama intelligence circles, and the term “Islamic extremism” was removed from the U.S. national security strategy document last year.

Similarly, too many teachers refuse to show and tell who the perpetrators of 9/11 were and who their heirs are today. My own daughter was one year old when the Twin Towers collapsed, the Pentagon went up in flames and Shanksville, Pa., became hallowed ground for the brave passengers of United Flight 93. In second grade, her teachers read touchy-feely stories about peace and diversity to honor the 9/11 dead. They whitewashed Osama bin Laden, militant Islam and centuries-old jihad out of the curriculum. Apparently, the youngsters weren’t ready to learn even the most basic information about the evil masterminds of Islamic terrorism.

Mary Beth Hicks, author of the new book “Don’t Let the Kids Drink the Kool-Aid,” points to a recent review of 10 widely used textbooks in which the concepts of jihad and sharia were either watered down or absent. These childhood experts have determined that grade school is too early to delve into the specifics of the homicidal clash of Allah’s sharia-avenging soldiers with the freedom-loving Western world.

Yet, many of the same protectors of fragile elementary-school pupils can’t wait to teach them all the ins and outs of condoms, cross-dressers and crack addictions.

We pulled our daughter out of a cesspool of academic and moral relativism and found a reality-grounded, rigorous charter school where no-nonsense teachers refuse to sugarcoat inconvenient facts and history. Many of the students are children of soldiers and servicemen and women who — inspired by the heroes of 9/11 — have voluntarily deployed time and time again to kill the American Dream destroyers abroad before they kill us over here.

There’s no better way to hammer home the message that “freedom is not free” than to have your kids go to school with other kids whose dads and moms are gone for years at a time — missing births and birthday parties, recitals and soccer practice, Christmas pageants and Independence Day fireworks.

But instead of unfettered pride in our armed forces, social justice educators in high schools and colleges across the country indoctrinate American students into viewing our volunteer armed forces as victims, monsters and pawns in a leftist “social struggle.”

A decade after the 9/11 attacks, Blame America-ism still permeates classrooms and the culture. A special 9/11 curriculum distributed in New Jersey schools advises teachers to “avoid graphic details or dramatizing the destruction” wrought by the 9/11 hijackers, and instead focus elementary school students’ attention on broadly defined “intolerance” and “hurtful words.”

No surprise: Jihadist utterances such as “Kill the Jews,” “Allahu Akbar” and “Behead all those who insult Islam” are not among the “hurtful words” studied.

Middle-schoolers are directed to “analyze diversity and prejudice in U.S. history.” And high-school students are taught “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs” – pop-psychology claptrap used to excuse jihadists’ behavior based on their purported low self-esteem and oppressed status caused by “European colonialism.”

It is no wonder that a new poll released this week showed that Americans today “are generally more willing to believe that U.S. policies in the Middle East might have motivated the 9/11 terror attacks on New York and the Pentagon,” according to Reuters.

To make matters worse, we have an appeaser-in-chief who wrote shortly after the jihadist attacks a decade ago that the “essence of this tragedy” derives “from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others.” A “climate of poverty and ignorance” caused the attacks, then-Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama preached. Never mind the Ivy League and Oxford educations, the oil wealth and the middle-class status of legions of al-Qaida plotters and operatives.

9/11 was a deliberate, carefully planned evil act of the long-waged war on the West by Koran-inspired soldiers of Allah around the world. They hated us before George W. Bush was in office. They hated us before Israel existed. And the avengers of the religion of perpetual outrage will keep hating us no matter how much we try to appease them.

The post-9/11 problem isn’t whether we’ll forget. The problem is: Will we ever learn?

Wake-up World. The Enemy Has A Name. That Name Is Islam.

Jimmy Gourdie

Wake-up World. The Enemy Has A Name. That Name Is Islam.

The dominate news for the last few weeks is what has been happening in
Tunisia, Yemen, to some extent in Jordan; but most importantly, for the moment,
in Egypt. Apparent spontaneous uprisings of the people; demanding that their
government leaders step down;. A cry for freedom and democracy is how the news
media is presenting these events to the world. But there is much confusion and
anxiety in the minds of many people. Will the dictators of these countries be
replaced by some form of democratic secular governments? Or will they fall into
the hands of radical Muslims ala Iran. I suspect the bookies have placed high
odds against secular democracies.

For the purposes of this essay, I will focus on Egypt and the United States.
Much of what I say about Egypt probably applies to any country where Muslims are
a majority. Much of what I say about the United States probably applies to most
of the non-Islamic world.

The government of the United States was founded on the principles of
individual freedom. We created a republic with limited democracy. The concept of
“limited democracy” is important because pure democracy leads to the tyranny of
the majority over the minority; even if that majority exist by the slimmest of
margins. There have been many tyrants who have been elected democratically. Hugo
Chavez in Venezuela is a prime example.

One of the principles of US foreign policy has be the moral responsibility
to support people in their struggle to free themselves from repressive
governments. We haven’t always lived-up to that moral responsibility because
there is a second principle to our foreign policy. The second principle is the
protection of our nation’s strategic interest; be they military/security or
economic. It is this second principle that has led the US to support various
totalitarian regimes in different parts of the world. Examples of this would be
our support for the Mubarak regime in Egypt and the Saudi Royal family in Saudi
Arabia. The US even found it in our best interest to support, at one time, the
Saddam Husein regime in Iraq.

Over our history, the United States has fought many wars. It was always easy
to define and recognize our enemies.  Our enemies have only euphemistically been
defined as a people. It was always understood the real enemy was those that
govern the country in question. In World War II our enemies were Hitler and his
regime not the German people; the imperialist regime of Japan not the Japanese
people. The same can be said about the Korean War, the War in Vietnam, the Gulf
War, and etc. Our enemies have been governments not the people of those
nations.

I believe that the world is experiencing a paradigm shift and that there is
an urgent need for the US and the rest of the developed world redefine who their
common enemy is. For the first time in modern history, I believe the common
enemy isn’t any government regime but a people and not the people of just one or
two nations. I believe that the greatest threat to the United States and the
rest of the developed world is the Muslim world.

The Muslim world is much more than the Middle-East. It includes Indonesia and
other parts of Asia and Asia-Minor. And, there are al l the
Somethig-stan countries south of Russia and north of India. Also, one should
keep in mind that there are large Muslim populations throughout South America,
North America, and Europe. But let’s get back to Egypt.

My view is that Mubarak is really no longer in the picture. The military is
in control of the government and they have met with various opposition groups;
the biggest of which is the Muslim Brotherhood. I think the chances of Egypt
ending-up as a secular democracy are slim and none. Various bloggers have
written on Pew surveys that show that an overwhelming majority of Egyptians want
a theocratic government and they want sharia law to prevail over all other.

If you believe the talking heads of MSM and some of or own politicians that
the Muslim Brotherhood are moderates, you are sadly mistaken. Visit Atlas
Shrugs
and search the archives of Pamela Geller and learn what the Muslim
Brotherhood is all about.

Try to imagine what will happen,  if Egypt, Tunisia, and Yemen become clones
of Iran. You can bet that Jordan and Syria won’t be far behind. The dominoes
will start to fall. How will Saudi Arabia hold out? They won’t be able to hold
out. Even Iraq could blow-up in our face. Radical Muslims will control the
lion’s share of the world’s oil reserves. They could easily bring down the
world’s economy. Terrorist attacks will escalate around the world. It will be
World War III; but it won’t be a conventional war. There won’t be any defined
battle fields.  It will be a guerilla war with the planet as the battle field.
We and the rest of the once known, developed world, will be chasing our tails
trying  to figure out where the next terrorist attack is going to happen. With
the world economy collapsed, civilization will slip into a new version of the
Dark Ages.

When it comes to religion, I have always taken the position of live and let
live. But that is not a tenant of Islam. Islam is not just a religion. It is
much more. Islam is a social order with their own laws. Sharia law. Islam
teaches that the infidel must either be subjugated or eliminated. Period. End of
story.

You may think that I am an alarmist, an Islamophoic, or a fear monger. Maybe.
All I can say is that I am honestly afraid. Afraid  for my family, afraid for my
country and, afraid  for the future of the world. as we have known it  I am
convinced that our leaders and the leaders of many other countries must wake-up
to the new reality. Our enemy is not some country like Iran.  Our enemy is not
some nebulous thing like terrorism. Our enemy is a people. A people who follow
the dictates of Islam. They are called Muslims and they want to enslave you or
kill you and the choice is not yours. The liberal elite of the world will
finally have their wish for a new world order. However, It won’t be they and the
banksters and George Soros that are in charge, at least not for very long.

If my views on Islam are extreme, then I am in good company. There are a
large number of conservative bloggers who hold similar views to mine. They are
not fear mongers. They are trying to warn the world of a very real danger. A
danger that many world leaders and most liberals do not want to see.

There are two exceptionally good articles on the subject of Islam that have
been recently published. One is at Questioning with Boldness and the other is at at My Tea Party Chronicles. I highly recommend them. Unlike the
rantings of this old man, these two essays are beautifully written, full of
useful details, and there are some great links. Please take the time to read
both of these essays and then come back and tell me if my views are extremist in
nature.
