McCain’s Gauntlet Speech

McCain’s recent speech to the Los Angeles World Affairs Council delivered many important messages.  Some were aimed at the upcoming general election campaign. Others were international messages directed toward friends, foes and those in the middle.

Campaign Messages

McCain spent his first 300-plus words disclaiming an image that the MSM will eventually try to tag him with: an old, trigger-happy, fighter pilot.  Far from trigger-happy – he knows the horror of war.

Then he obliquely juxtaposed his self-descriptive label of realistic idealist with an implied one of naïve idealist to be applied later to whoever becomes his opponent. Why did he not apply the label to both Democrat candidates now? Because he’ll make the realistic versus naïve comparison directly if Obama is the nominee, and indirectly if it’s Clinton, for whom he has more respect. Premature to make it now.

Assume that Obama is the nominee, as is likely.  Merely labeling him a naïve idealist won’t be enough. McCain will have to do what President Bush has not done well.  He’ll need to make a more compelling case for not withdrawing from Iraq too soon. In this speech he took an articulate step in that direction by linking the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with “the transcendent challenge of our time: the threat of radical Islamic terrorism.”

“In the troubled and often dangerous region they occupy, these two nations can either be sources of extremism and instability or they can in time become pillars of stability, tolerance, and democracy…And whether they eventually become stable democracies themselves, or are allowed to sink back into chaos and extremism, will determine not only the fate of that critical part of the world, but our fate as well.”

In the context of linking the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan with radical Islamic terrorism, McCain set a cornerstone for how he’ll differentiate himself from either Democrat opponent.

“Any president who does not regard this threat as transcending all others does not deserve to sit in the White House, for he or she does not take seriously enough the first and most basic duty a president has – to protect the lives of the American people.”  (emphasis added)

When Obama criticizes McCain for supporting Bush’s war in Iraq, McCain can say:

Maybe you didn’t notice that I repeatedly called for the removal of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and a new strategy in Iraq.  A strategy we eventually adopted, by the way, and is yielding success.

When Obama calls for a rapid withdrawal from Iraq, McCain will play the Irresponsible Statesmanship Card mentioned in his speech:

“It would be an unconscionable act of betrayal, a stain on our national character as a great nation, if we were to walk away from the Iraqi people and consign them to the horrendous violence, ethnic cleansing, and possibly genocide that would follow a reckless, irresponsible, and premature withdrawal.”

Obama will remind us again and often that he was against the war from the beginning. In response, McCain can say:

That’s the past, Senator Obama. Today we’re talking about the future, and a hope that the Iraqis can believe in. Because when it comes to our success in Iraq – Yes We Can, and Yes We Will.

His Los Angeles speech laid the groundwork for all these retorts and others.

Either Democrat nominee will equate a McCain victory with a Bush Third Term.  Countering that in advance, McCain reminded us that he’s not been a Bush sycophant.  He’s noted how he’s been against torture, inhuman treatment of prisoners, and wants to close Guantanamo. In that run of issues he included words some conservative critics may have glossed over: “…work with our allies to forge a new international understanding on the disposition of dangerous detainees under our control.”  Message:  Our allies will be responsible for helping us deal with these “dangerous” people because criticism from a distance without helping to solve the problem is counterproductive.

As soon as the MSM begins to support the Bush Third Term theme, McCain can say,

Look my friends, a little straight talk here: As early as 1999, the New York Times was referring to me as a “maverick.” In fact, they ran a story about me in July that year entitled ‘The Mantle of the Maverick Suits McCain.’  They’ve continued to apply that label to me ever since.  Just last January, the Times ran an article entitled “McCain, Long a G.O.P. Maverick, Is Gaining Mainstream Support.” So, if I’ve been such a maverick for so long, how can I now be a reincarnation of President Bush?   

Checkmate. 

International Messages

Now, to briefly review some of the international messages aimed at friends, foes and those in the middle.

TO All Nations:  We’ll continue to lead, but with a style that will not project what some of you have perceived as arrogance.

This message angered some conservatives, but it was necessary for our friends to hear it, regardless of whether we’ve accepted or rejected their criticism.

TO Hugo Chavez and Fidel’s little brother:  You have a choice to make. Isolate yourself further or embrace this future:

“Ours can be the first completely democratic hemisphere, where trade is free across borders, where the rule of law and the power of the free markets advance the security and prosperity of all.”

TO Russia:  Consult your English dictionary as I note the danger you pose by being “revanchist.” I think Brazil and India have more business being in the G-8 that you do.  And, I plan to grow NATO right up to your front door.  You feel me, Putin?

I had to look it up:  Revanchist: One who follows a policy seeking to retaliate, especially to recover lost territory.

TO China:  To really become a true friend of ours, you’ll need to be a more responsible world citizen, make your military intentions clearer, and stop trying to elbow us out of Asia. 

TO Africa:  It’s time some of you become more responsible nations. And, it’s time we help you eradicate malaria on the African continent.

TO Iran & N. Korea:  Be advised that we’re closely watching your efforts to attain nuclear weapons, and that I plan to further involve our friends in that watching.  No threats at this time.

TO Islamic Terrorists:  Don’t expect a McCain administration to be any less aggressive against you than was Bush’s. And maybe more so.

TO Selected Middle East Countries:  You know who you are.  We’re done relying on your out-dated autocracies as the safest path to the future of the Middle East.

TO Other Democracies:  Let’s form a “new global compact” – a League of Democracies. 

This message is a shot across the bow of the U.N.  Among all his international messages, this one is most noteworthy.

“We have to strengthen our global alliances as the core of a new global compact – a League of Democracies – that can harness the vast influence of the more than one hundred democratic nations around the world to advance our values and defend our shared interests.”

Finally,

TO the United Nations:  I am prepared to engage your bias, corruption and incompetence. You’re on notice.

That last message alone should atone for any perception on the part of some conservatives that John McCain is another John Kerry.

Obama’s Wright fantasy

Undoubtedly hoping to tie Hillary in the fabulist category, Obama tells a whopper of his own and Tom Maguire captures it in amber (well online, anyway):

Can someone help me with what looks like the latest fantasy from Obama as he explains his Reverend Wright (emphasis added):

WASHINGTON – White House hopeful Barack Obama suggests he would have left his Chicago church had his longtime pastor, whose fiery anti-American comments about U.S. foreign policy and race relations threatened Obama’s campaign, not stepped down.

“Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying at the church,” Obama said Thursday during a taping of the ABC talk show, “The View.” The interview will be broadcast Friday.

Let’s make the working assumption that this excerpt is accurate and in context – time will tell, since the show airs tomorrow.

So, when did Wright acknowledge that what he had said was deeply offensive and inappropriate?  The AP story recounts some of Wright’s controversial comments but oddly omits to mention his apology, as does all other news coverage with which I am familiar.  And I am strangely certain that a Wright apology would have made the news – unless he never made it publicly.

So what are we supposed to believe – that Wright apologized to Obama, who is now apologizing to the rest of us on Wright’s behalf?  For heaven’s sake, this really does show that Obama is made of Presidential stuff – maybe he can do an Apology Tour, just as Bill Clinton did.

Embryo: A Defense of Human Life

Someone watching the Democratic candidates debate could be forgiven for wondering if they’re viewing a year-old videotape.

But the reality is Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama are so hidebound by ideology and beholden to left-wing interest groups that actual events are not allowed to intrude on their scripts.

There has been, for instance, no appreciable change in the position of the candidates — or Democrat Party leaders — on Iraq since the grimmest days of sectarian violence, even though the military surge has brought tremendous success. Former opponents have joined our side, and many signs of national unity are springing up at the micro — and, yes, the macro — level.

“Surrender! All is lost!” remains the battle cry of the Democrat Party. That might be “change,” but it hardly qualifies as “hope.”

Similarly, despite recent breakthroughs in adult and umbilical stem cell research that many scientists say make the ethically troubling notion of killing human embryos unnecessary for research, Democrats are still busy damning George W. Bush for the fact that Christopher Reeves didn’t rise up and walk.

Clinton and Obama almost daily repeat the canard that George W. Bush has halted stem cell research. In reality, Bush only denied federal funding for such research; then again, in their worldview, the denial of taxpayers’ money to pay for embryonic stem cell lab work is the same as banning it. But even more troublling is Clinton and Obama’s callousness in refusing to even consider any ethical quandary in taking one life for the benefit of another.

But what do you expect from people who are willing to lose a war in order to score political points and for whom even banning the grotesqueries of partial birth abortion is not worth offending the smallest part of their political base?

Pro-life conservatives generally have two straw men to battle when arguing their case, one from each end of the life cycle — the case for embryonic life and some variation on the Terry Schiavo case. In each instance, the charge of religious extremism is likely to be hurled.

Because the charge that the argument in favor of embryonic right to life is purely a religious one, prominent bioethicists Robert P. George and Christopher Tollefsen set out on what might seem a peculiar task. In Embryo: A Defense of Human Life, they decide to make the case for the rights of human embryos absent any religious argument whatsoever.

Whatever you think of this daunting — and occasionally rhetorically awkward — task, most readers will be persuaded by the authors’ main thesis by the book’s opening brilliant illustration. In fact, the first dozen pages or so, with minor editing, would make a superb pamphlet for pro-life groups to distribute.

The authors open Embryo with a subchapter called Noah and the Flood. No, this Noah’s not the 600 year-old patriarch pf Old Testament fame with his floating zoo; he’s the youngest person to be rescued from Hurricane Katrina’s floodwaters.

Noah Benton Markham had been one of 1,400 frozen embryos rescued from a New Orleans hospital threatened by the rising waters. As the authors point out, had it not been for rescue workers:

Noah would have perished. For it was Noah who was frozen in one of those canisters, Noah who was brought from New Orleans by boat, Noah who was subsequently planted in his mother’s womb, and Noah who was born on January 16, 2007.

The frozen embryo brought out that day, the authors point out, could not have become anything other than Noah. His parents might have been able to have another baby, but it would not have been Noah. Noah could not have been recreated at another time. Noah was genetically complete when the police officers brought him to safety, it was his life that was saved.

Therefore, the authors conclude, and this is “confirmed by all the best science”:

(H)uman embryos are from the beginning, human beings sharing an indentity with, though younger than, the older human beings they will grow up to become.

To one extent or another, the rest of Embryo is a scientific defense of this proposition, and an answer to nearly every argument commonly made against it.

The authors are convinced that the argument can only be won by removing religion from the argument and focusing solely on “science” and “universally accepted philosophical methods of inquiry.”

Of course, arguing such matters in a non-religious vacuum creates its own problems — and begs its own questions.

George and Tollifsen argue persuasively that there is no time at which a human embryo is “not a person.” Thus, it has the rights all persons enjoy –  most basically, the “right not to be killed.”

While the right of a person not to be killed is universally accepted in the West, it is also the result of a particular religious ethos — one rejected by Mao, Stalin, Hitler, Saddam and bin Laden to name a few.

It is the rejection of the Judeo-Christian ethos that leads scientists who would never dream of rejecting the right to life to a breathing human to deny it to embryonic humans. One can hardly argue that those scientists are ignorant of the genetic makeup or human completeness of the embryo.

However, since the same scientists — along with leftist politicians and hard-core feminists — confuse the issue by arguing that resistance to killing or experimenting on embryonic human life is made on purely mystical grounds and not scientific ones, George and Tollefsen have performed a vital service with this book.

Embryo is a brief but not an easy read. While the authors have a clear and concise writing style reminiscent of James Q. Wilson’s thoughtful books on ethics and the law, the issues here are of necessity sometimes discussed in highly technical terms.However, whether you read it straight through, digest it in chunks or keep it as a handy reference guide for sticky arguments —  such as why it is not hypocritical for a pro-lifer to say a fireman, if forced to choose, should rescue a 5-year-old girl rather than a tray of embryos — Embryo is a valuable addition to the library of anyone who engages in the war of ideas.

Islamic Republic Of America?

They will go to the West for education in full scholarship. America is paying and will continue to pay for our children’s educations and their upbringing in state funded Islamic schools.

 

We will use your welfare system. Our children will also send money home while they are preparing for Jihad.

We will take the advantage of American kindness, gullibility, and compassion. When time comes, we will stab them in the back. We will say one thing on the camera and teach another thing to our children at home. We will give subliminal messages to our children to uphold Islam at any cost. Our children in America will always care more about Islamic Country’s interest than US interest.

We will teach our children Islamic supremacy from the very childhood. We will teach them not to compromise with Infidel. Once we do that from the very early age our children won’t hesitate to be martyr. We will take over the Europe first and then US will be the next. We already have a solid ground in the UK, Holland, Sweden, Spain, Italy, Germany, and now in the US.

Our children will marry Caucasian in Europe and in America. We will mixed with intricate fabric of the Western society but still will remember to Jihad when time comes. Who are we?

We are the “sleeper cells”.

We will raise our children to be loyal to Islam and Mohammad only. Everything else is secondary.

At the time of the real fight we will hold our own children as our armor. When American or Israeli troops shoot at us the world will be watching. Imagine,… Imagine the news in the world “Death of Muslim babies by infidels”.

We know CNN, ABC, CBS are broadcasting live. Al-Jazeera will pour gasoline on the fire. The news will spread like wildfire. “Americans killed 6 babies, 10 babies”. “Jews killed two women”,

Keep your Nukes in your curio cabinets. Keep your aircraft carrier or hightech weaponery in the showcase. You can’t use them against us because of your own higher moral standard. We will take the advantage of your higher moral standard and use it against you. We won’t hesitate to use our children as suicide bomber against you.

Visualize the news flash all over the world, …Moslem mother is sobbing, ….crying. ….Her babies are killed by Jews and Americans, the whole world is watching live. Hundreds of millions of Muslims all around the world are boiling. They will march through Europe. We will use our women to produce more babies who will in turn be used as armor/shield. Our babies are the gift from Allah for Jihad.

West manufactures their tanks in the factory. We will manufacture our military force by natural means, by producing more babies. That is the way it is cheaper.

You infidels at this site cannot defeat us. We are 1.2 billion. We will double again. Do you have enough bullets to kill us?

On the camera:

We will always say, “Islam is the religion of Peace.”

We will say, “Jihad is actually inner Jihad.”

Moderate Muslim will say there is no link between Islam and Terrorism and the West will believe it because the West is so gullible.

Muslims, CAIR, ISNA, MPAC and other international Islamic Organization will unite. We will partner with Leftist, ACLU, with Koffi Annan, and the UN, and if we have to then even with France. Fasten your seatbelt. The war of civilizations has just begun.

We will recite Quran and say Allah-Hu-Akbar before beheading infidels, as we have been doing it. We will video tape those and send it to all infidels to watch. They will surrender – ISLAM means surrender.

THE RULE HAS CHANGED. There is new game in town.

Bill Clinton ordered 50 Tomahawks Cruise missiles costing $100,000,000 each to destroy $50 mud houses that belonged to Osama’s family. What a stupidity? What a poor ROI (Return On Investment)

In return Osama’s attack on the US.
Cost: 19 martyrs and less than $500,000.
Cost to the West:  over 3,000 dead.

At least $1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion) dollars economical loss in one year. This includes the ripple effect.

Osama’s ROI with respect to: life = 3,000/19 = 158 fold.
Dollar = $1 tr./500K = 2,000,000 fold

That is modern warfare. The West will loose.

Allah-Hu-Akbar.
Islam will rule the world. There is nothing you can do. Even if the per capita GDP of the world drops to half of its present level as a consequence of Islamic laws in place all over the world but still Islam will rule the word.

From your point of view we bring to the world to the dark ages, so be it. But still Islam wins, West looses.

Malvo gets life in 6 Maryland jihad killings

ROCKVILLE, Md. – Convicted sniper Lee Boyd Malvo was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison for six murders in Maryland that were part of a three-week shooting spree that terrorized the Washington area in 2002.The Maryland trial in Montgomery County Circuit Court included Malvo’s chilling insider account of his trip across the country with accomplice and mentor John Allen Muhammad.

In a brief statement in court Wednesday, Malvo apologized for his role in the killings.

“I’m truly sorry, grieved and ashamed for what I’ve done,” said Malvo, his voice breaking.

Malvo, 21, pleaded guilty in October to the murders in Montgomery County, where the series of 13 shootings began and ended in October 2002.

It is unlikely, however, that Malvo will ever serve time in a Maryland prison. He has already been sentenced to life in prison in Virginia for sniper shootings there and was sent to Maryland last year for a new trial on the condition he be returned after his case ended. That could happen within the next several days, said Darren Popkin, Montgomery County’s chief deputy sheriff.

America, take note before it is too late….

 It has been said,  ” Those who ignore the lessons of history are bound to repeat them.”   Another famous quote says,  “ History repeats itself.”    The moral is that people often have short memories.    Whether we observe bad things happening to other nations or experience such ourselves we seldom learn the needed lessons. As time passes,  all is forgotten and the same mistakes are repeated,  over and over again. When the topic of the serious ramifications of the Islamic invasion of
America comes up,  few people register sufficient concern.   They underestimate the potential threat because they view the
USA’s current Muslim population of 1%-2% as insignificant.   The danger is that,  like some Europeans nations,  we will wait till the percentage figures doubles,  triples or even quadruple before it dawns on us that we have a problem.    Our government and our entire population would be wise to look,   listen and learn from what countries in
Europe are suffering as the result of unchecked Islamic population growth.   If we don’t heed the warnings that their problems represent,  we will be sentenced to duplicating them.There are many similarities between life in America and that in the Christian countries of
Europe.   The difference is the homelands of Muslims are much closer geographically to
Europe and therefore the immigration invasions began much earlier.   The Muslim population of
Europe is now estimated to be around twenty million strong.   That represents about 5% of
Western Europe’s total inhabitants.
France’s Islamic population presently ranks as the highest as it has raced to about 10%.    The price tag for naively permitting that degree of growth has proven to have dire consequences.

QUEST FOR DOMINION

Naive and goodhearted Americans often complain and cite various reasons for rejecting any suggestion that the growth of Islam should be a point of concern. They figure,  why criticize other religions?    Why can’t we all just live and let live? Surely,  civilized societies should pride themselves on tolerance towards those of other beliefs and grant freedom of religion to all citizens.   No one should care about how or what others worship,  as long as they worship peacefully.    Another test is whether or not a religion infringes on the rights of others.   Islam misses on both counts.    It’s not peaceful because at various junctures it infringes on the rights of others to worship as they choose.   Once it gains dominance,  it is totally intolerant of other religions.Such concerns might be invalid if they pertained to adherents of most any world religion,  other than Islam.   The thing that makes Islam different is the fact that it is more than a religion.   Islam is a political,  social,  and economic way of life,  cloaked in religious garments.    Islam’s strict observances and regulations are imposed on all Muslims and affect every area of their lives.    These shape their attitudes and responses towards those of other religions.   Full compliance brings the promises of rewards in this life and in the hereafter.    Noncompliance dictates harsh punishments both here and in eternity.    As a result many Muslims are willing to kill and to die for the cause of religious fervor.    These factors, combined with Islam’s inherent tendency to violence,  make it difficult for it to co-exist in society with other religions. Islam is never satisfied to be one religion among many.    It has to be supreme;  the one and only.    ” the (only) religion (acceptable) before God is Islam.”   Surah 3:19 Within Islam,  freedom of religion is never an option.    Allah says, ” If anyone desires a religion other than Islam,  never will it be accepted of him.”    Surah 3: 85 Domination is the name of the game.   Islam’s objective is to obtain influence superior to that of all other religious groups.    Its long-term agenda inevitably includes complete dominion over a nation.    In free societies,  as in
America,  they make no effort to hide such agendas.    Omar M. Ahmed,  chairman of the board of CAIR ( Council on American- Islamic Relations ) said once at a banquet,  ” I urge Muslims not to shirk their duty of sharing the Islamic faith with those who are on the wrong side.”    He added,  “ If you choose to live here,  you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam.    Islam isn’t here to be equal to any other faith but to become dominant.”The plan for the conquest and domination of
Europe has been at work for some time.    Giueppe Bernardini,  the 72 year old Italian Archbishop of the archdiocese of Izmir,  Turkey,  said something startling.    ” The dominion has already begun with the petrodollars,  used not to create work in the poor North African or Middle Eastern countries,  but to build mosques and cultural centers in Christian countries with Islamic immigration,  including
Rome,  the center of Christianity.”Perhaps,  there might be some European Muslims who are simply satisfied to enjoy the prosperity afforded them in their adopted countries and therefore don’t mind accepting the status quo.    However,  there is a host of others who strive to see the traditionally Christian societies that welcomed them conform to the rigorous demands of Islamic society.    The result is that
Europe is undergoing a gradual transformation into a society in which Islam is not just equal to other faiths; it is the dominant player.    This may not even be merely dependent upon increasing numerical strength.    It may be solely driven by Islamist’s innate desire to control societies.    It is a strategy of Islamic leaders that is carefully thought out and concisely executed.

THE ISLAMIC INVASION OF

Muslim Arabs were invited to Europe from Africa and Asia in the 1950’s and 1960’s to meet the labor shortages of
Western Europe’s booming postwar economies. Subsequently,  Muslim refugees seeking political asylum to better their lives drastically increased those numbers.   The trend continued into the 1970’s.   The waves of Muslim immigrating from North Africa and the Middle East began to change the demographics of
Europe.    Muslim birthrates soared.    According to U.N. statistics,   the Islamic population of
Europe doubled between 1989 and 1998, representing approximately 2% of the population.   That number had again more than doubled by 2005,   representing about 5% of all Europeans.

TROUBLED
FRANCE

France has the largest concentrations of Muslims in Europe,  about 10% of the total population.    Its situation is a clear example of the influence of Islam on European societies.    The French actress,  Brigitte Bardot,  laments the Islamization of
France in her book,  ” A Scream in Silence “.    A court accused her of “presenting Muslims as barbaric and cruel invaders,  responsible for terrorist acts and eager to dominate the French to the extent of wanting to exterminate them.”    She states in her book, “There are many new languages in new
Europe;  mediocrity is taking over from beauty and splendor.    There are many people who are filthy,  badly dressed and badly shaven.”
France has about 5 Million Muslims.   The younger generations of French Muslims seem to have a problem with identity.    About half of them are almost indistinguishable from other non-Muslims.   However,  the other half poses a serious problem for
France.   They don’t view themselves as French and they also reject identifying with their families.   They see themselves solely as Muslims. About 70,000 young Muslim women are subjected to forced marriages every year. Every year,  35,000 girls undergo Female Genitalia Mutilation/circumcision,  or are under threat of the same.You can’t miss seeing Islam’s influence if walking along many French streets.  Parts of
Paris look and sound more like an Arab country than they do European.
Marseilles is racing towards becoming the first European city with a non-European majority.The future is not promising.   It is estimated that within 25 years,  one in four residents of
France will practice Islam.   In an effort to maintain
France’s traditional character,  its government is strongly asserting the nation’s secularism.   In doing so,  a fierce struggle with the Islamists has ensued.   Towards that goal,  parliament banned Muslim women from wearing Islamic scarves ( hijab ) in public institutions. This decision is causing uproar from Muslims,  not only in
France,  but all over the world.

France is Burning

Night after night,  youthful Muslims blitzed through the outskirts of the poorer sections of French cities.    From late October and into November of 2005 much of
France was set aflame by Muslim rioters aged 13-24.    At least 350 cities were attacked.    Police intelligence sources indicate that the Jihadists minded gangs plan to import the mayhem to the main streets of France’s primary cities,  including
Paris.    Unquestionably,  the authorities lost control of the nation and a form of marshal-law was enacted to restore some semblance of order.    The sparks from those riots ignited embers of Islamic discontent in neighboring Belgium and
Germany.The riots were triggered by the deaths of two Muslim teenagers who were attempting to elude the police and were accidentally electrocuted in a poor suburb of
Paris.    The violence subsequently spread to other areas of
France.   More than 6,400 vehicles were torched and one man has been killed.   More than 1,600 rioters were arrested.   Schools,  government buildings and churches were firebombed by the predominantly Muslim gangs.   Though it was portrayed as race riots caused by official discrimination,   it was in fact nothing less than a French intifada by French Muslims against
France.    Historically,  France has been the most accommodating and liberal country in
Europe towards Muslim immigrants.  Its reward is exactly that which I have depicted in this volume,  civil troubles.   Innately Islam,  the Quran and Islamic policies are predisposed to attempt to rule any nation that is foolish enough to extend overly liberal policies to them.Unfortunately,  this is not likely to be an ugly isolated and passing incident.   The riots bear every indication of being the initial skirmishes of what will turn into a long war.   These Muslim bands might retreat;  if so,  it will only be temporarily.   They will likely fervently regroup later under the banners of experienced Islamic terrorists who will gladly inspire them.

EUROPE IS BECOMING EURABIA

Bat Ye’or is a history expert on the subject of “dhimmitude;  “ how Islam treated the People of the Book,  Christians and Jews,  throughout history.   She originated the term  ”Eurabia”  to underscore the growing influence of Islam in
Europe.   In a recent article titled,  ”How
Europe Became Eurabia,”  she states: “Beyond a fleeting awareness,  the overwhelming majority of Europeans and Americans do not understand the new Eurabian entity,  which is only the first step in a steady progression toward its Arabization and Islamization.   Europe has evolved from … a Judeo-Christian civilization,  with important post-enlightenment / secular elements,  to a ‘civilization of dhimmitude,’  i.e. Eurabia: a secular-Muslim transitional society with its traditional Judeo-Christian more rapidly disappearing.”The Islamization of
Europe becomes more obvious as time goes by.   Thanks to the Saudi funds,  beautiful mosques are erected in large cities.   Many Imams and staff personnel of those mosques are paid by Saudi funds.   All over
Europe,  the picture is not pretty: Sweden’s third largest city is
Malmo and for all intents and purposes is ruled by violent Muslim gangs.    Some of its Muslim residents have lived there as long as 20 years and still cannot read or write Swedish.    Muslims succeeded into turning a first world city into another third world,   like the countries they came from. 
Britain’s Muslim population is estimated to be between 1.6 and 3 million.      A substantial segment of young Muslims in the United Kingdom does not identify with
Britain,   but only with Islam.   Such young men were behind the terrorist attack of July 7, 2005.    In some areas that have large concentrations,   Muslims are targeting churches for arson and their clergymen for physical attacks.    The objective is to cleanse such areas of any non-Muslim presence.    Muslims are demanding that names of local districts be changed from traditional British names to Arabic Muslim names.
Spain’s Muslims have expressed their plan to recapture the Mosque of
Cordoba. The building was originally a church that was turned into a mosque after the Islamic conquest to
Spain.    After the Muslim invaders were put to flight,   it again became a Catholic cathedral.
Reports from
Italy state that doctors are treating Muslim wives who have been flogged by their Muslim husbands.In
Finland,  some imams preach on the Islamic duty to … kill Muslims who convert to other religions.
The
Netherlands has recently turned from tolerance of Islam to the exact opposite. The change of mind followed … the brutal killing of the Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh by a young Muslim in November 2004.  The preceding were just a few glimpses from the big picture of present-day
Europe’s landscape.   The indications are that what was once tranquil and peaceful
Europe is beginning to boil.   The fire is fueled by the undisputed ultimate goal of Muslims to Islamize
Europe.Some Christians dismiss concerns about the possibility of
Europe becoming Islamic before the end of the century as unrealistic and pessimistic.    It must be remembered,  however,   that most Islamic countries of the
Middle East were once Christian.    Christianity was completely eradicated from many of these countries, while some still have just a symbolic presence.   It is rather naive to presume that the same could not happen to
Europe.There is a lesson that America must learn from
Europe’s experiences with Islam. Surely, it is indicative for us to understand something.   That which is happening to our brothers and sisters across the Atlantic is subtly in progress at this moment in
America.

Young Muslims’ Secret Camp

The Young Muslims are in hiding.  They are hiding the location of their August 2^nd youth camp, and the public has a right to know why.The Young Muslims (YM) was founded well over a decade ago, as a subsidiary of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), an organization that was created specifically to emulate the violent Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami.  Through ICNA, YM holds events that feature as speakers some of the most radical individuals in the Islamic community.  These events include youth camps, which, prior to the attacks on 9/11, were referred to as “jihad camps.”

The latest YM camp, themed ‘Deen and Dunya: Finding the Balance,’ will be held tomorrow, August 2^nd through August 6^th.  The organization has worked hard to keep the location of the destination under wraps.  On the YM website, people are explicitly told not to discuss the matter.

Originally, the event was to be held in
Villanova, Pennsylvania, at the 23-acre Foundation for Islamic Education (FIE), where many YM events are held throughout the year.  [This includes one last April featuring
UK Imam Sheik Riyadh ul-Haq, who, just two months later, was banned from entering
Canada, “because his views could incite terror and hatred.”]  However, the camp was to be a five-day affair – a violation of local zoning regulations – and  after years of infractions perpetrated by FIE, the residents complained and got the Township of Lower Merion, where FIE is located, to threaten an injunction against the group. 

YM had previously held its August 2004 camp at FIE, the theme of which was ‘A Few Good Men.’  Controversy erupted over it, when, shortly before the camp was to begin, one of the invited speakers, Mazen Mokhtar, had his house raided and his computers confiscated by the FBI.  Mokhtar, currently the Youth Director for the
New Jersey chapter of the Muslim American Society (MAS), prior to 9/11, created a mirror (replica) website of a site that raised funds and recruited terror fighters for Al-Qaeda and the Taliban.  The site was also used as a portal to the official website of Hamas, a group that Mokhtar has called “heroic.”  He has also said he supports suicide bombings.

Mokhtar was an invitee to lecture at this year’s camp, as well.  The “confirmed” list of speakers are as follows: 

• Siraj Wahhaj, the Imam of the Masjid At-Taqwa mosque in
  Brooklyn and an individual listed as a potential co-conspirator to the 1993 bombing of the World
  Trade
  Center, who has stated about the
  United States in a taped sermon, “In time, this so-called democracy will crumble, and there will be nothing.  And the only thing that will remain will be Islam.”
• Abdul Malik, the chaplain of the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority and former Office Manager of CAIR-New York, who likened President George W. Bush to a “slave master” and, in a speech entitled ‘Service to Society: The Key to Reformation,’ stated, “Assalam alaikum [crowd responds: ‘wa alaikum assalam’].  I look forward to hearing that one day in the White House, and then paint it black.”  And “…we don’t want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy.”
• Faisal Hamouda, who is a leading volunteer for Islamic Relief, a charity that
  Israel has named a front for Hamas.
• Nouman Ali Khan, a former representative of the Muslim Students Association (MSA), who, in February of 2005, gave a speech sponsored by the MSA of Hofstra University, entitled ‘Preparation for Death.’
• Shamsi Ali, the Deputy Imam of the Islamic Cultural Center of New York and Director of the Jamaica Muslim Center, who was the moderator at a February 2006 demonstration against Danish cartoons of Muhammad held outside the Danish Consulate in Manhattan, where a poster was seen being waived which read, “Insult the Prophet, you will pay, Allah’s wrath is on the way.”
• Amin Abdul Latif, the President (Ameer) of Majlis Ashura of NYC in
  Brooklyn, who signed his name to an open letter to President Bush in support of
  Algeria’s Islamic Salvation Front (FIS), the Islamist organization responsible for the creation of the terror group, the Armed Islamic Group (GIA).

The speakers are not the only problem with the YM camp.  There is also a problem with the campers.  Numerous pictures from previous camps depict the children fighting each other, as their fellow camp-mates stand around watching.  It is not apparent whether or not there is any supervision while this is occurring, but given who their guest speakers are, that probably doesn’t make much of a difference.

One reason why the members of Young Muslims don’t want the location of tomorrow’s camp divulged is because there may be more impediments – zoning or otherwise – with the new locale, which could cause a cancellation.  A further explanation could be because they don’t want what is being said by their guest speakers known to the public.  Yet another reason could be far far worse.  But we won’t know, because they’re not telling.

Law enforcement needs to find out – now.

Next Tuesday is midterm election day. When you cast your vote – if you choose to partake in this most honorable American tradition – please remember what is at stake.

On the left, my former party of choice, feels that the biggest issues confronting America are corporate greed, “the culture of corruption” (as if this does not occur on both sides), Wal-Mart, “big business,” churchgoing Christians, global warming and an assault on the civil liberties of us and terrorists. To deny this would be scandalously untrue.

On the right, my current “fearmongering” party of choice feels the biggest issue (singular) is to eliminating and freeing the world of Islamo-fascist Nazis. There is no denying this, and the sooner we, as in all other world wars, are free to do this, the better. My party wants to save the non-Muslim world, America, Israel and especially “liberal values” like sexual and gender freedoms (not just libertinism, but the freedom of women) freedom of religion, speech and of the press.

Unfortunately, aside from Radical Muslims, we have many domestic factors working against us:

The “Drive-by” big city media feels the need to rant about how we “torture” terrorists, keep “secret prisons,” check phone records of suspected terrorists, regress back to Katrina whining, yada, yada and yada. The ACLU, “peace organizations,” the legal world, academia and Hollywood, not surprisingly, fall for this flawed, inane logic too. History has always proved these acrimonious fools wrong, and will again this time… if we’re not killed first by our enemies because of their devious behaviors.

President Bush, sadly as of late, has fallen prey to dangerous political correctness and multi-cultural balderdash as he tries to unite this country. He has attempted to make good on his promise to be the great uniter, and the man has undeniably been more liberal than conservative the past year.

There is no need to do this, Mr. President.

This country was divided long before President Bush took office, and he has done his best to unite it. But many who hypocritically seek “redistribution of wealth” spend their weekends picking up wheatgrass at Whole Foods on their way to Nantucket, do not want to be united with Americans who attend church on Sunday, wave the flag, and enjoy Nascar, Applebee’s and saving money at Wal-Mart. Too bad for them. These arrogant, misguided folks have chosen to regressively look back, to sacrifice their platform to go after Mr. Bush (who is not up for re-election, by the way).

Fatuous liberals like Paul Krugman — who saw nothing wrong with comparing the backlash against the Dixie Chicks to the rise of Nazism — or the countless jabberers who have over the years denounced William F. Buckley Jr., Barry Goldwater, Sean Hannity et al. as fascists are difficult to respect, much less take seriously. As Jonah Goldberg wrote in September,

“One gets the sense that today’s liberals — beyond their phobia of offending the coalition of the oppressed (in this case, the Muslims of CAIR) — are reluctant to let Bush use “Islamic fascism” because they don’t want to give up their monopoly on the F-word.”

George Bush needs to stop trying so hard to make “peace” with those who despise us within our nation and are more concerned with meaningless impeachment than saving our world. His efforts have never been appreciated, but someday, like Reagan and those before him, perhaps they will. 

Thankfully, by the grace of G-d, the patriotic men and women of the military will save this nation as they always have. They will not get thanks from the coastal elites, but this is expected.

It’s not just that the wrong party could take power, but this party’s leaders, some of those who would be in charge of essential committees like Ways and Means, the Judiciary, Commerce, etc, are variously on record as not supporting Israel (and being proud of it!), raising taxes, ending free trade, drilling in ANWR (animals are more important than people, usually) and naturally, impeaching Bush. That will surely take our attention away from the Islamic Nazis, North Koreans and by October of next year, as opposed to fraudulent filmmakers who dream of Bush being dead, we all could be in severe peril. I’d personally put it at 50/50.

I hope that most Americans will take a deep breath, realize Bush had noble, correct intentions for freeing tens of millions from a madman and then remember that unemployment is the lowest in five years; the Dow is over 12,000 points. Inflation is 2.1 percent, the deficit is being dramatically reduced, and gas prices are falling. Let’s just hope that if the GOP maintains control, we don’t waste time, effort and money on Democrat protests and recounts. Which state this time? Indiana? Missouri? Do I hear Maryland?

Vote accordingly, and consider whether you want to tell your grandchildren you defeated carbon dioxide emissions or Islamo Nazi Fascists who threatened the free world.

A Muslim Manifesto for America?

It’s always hard to pinpoint when a historic shift takes place. It is rarely as easy as Martin Luther’s posting of his 95 thesis that launched the Reformation and loosed the grip of the Catholic Church on the governance of Europe or when Henry VIII pushed Rome out of England to create the Anglican Church.

When, however, did the tiny Muslim community in America, estimated to be between two and three million—by contrast there are some six million Jews in America—begin to assert its takeover? I am going to mark it from October 19, 2006 when the Star-Ledger, New Jersey’s largest circulation daily, ran an article, “She’s got it covered: Designer seeks to dress the style-conscious Muslim woman” in its feature news section.

“Many Muslim women wear hijab as an expression of the Islamic tradition of modesty,” noted the article about a 27-year old American Muslim fashion designer. Born to a Jewish mother and a Catholic father, she had converted to Islam as a student at New York University after she married her husband, a Muslim.

When the media begin to find ways to offer up a positive image of Islam, you know they have probably decided that the game is over and we in the West have lost. The American media is expert at showing the white flag of surrender. They have been trumpeting the end of the world for decades now.

Wrong about the Soviet Union right up to the day it imploded. Wrong about the predictions that the Earth could not sustain six billion people. Wrong about the availability of mineral and energy resources. Wrong about global warming. Wrong about cutting taxes. Wrong about the current excellent state of the U.S. economy.

And now the surrender-addicts are ready, like our European cousins, to concede that Western civilization should just roll over and give up in the face of the worldwide Islamic jihad.

Europeans stopped attending Europe’s churches and stopped having enough babies to replace themselves in favor of creating totally unsustainable welfare states. Instead, they imported millions Muslims to do the work they became too old or too lazy to do themselves.

The United States, too, has created a cradle-to-grave socialist system that is going broke at an alarming rate even while the economy is thriving. The Bush administration is conspiring with Canada and Mexico to erase our national borders in order to create a North American Union that will throw our national sovereignty down the rat-hole of a vast bureaucracy that will not have to be responsive to those awful American voters.

As Mark Steyn says in his brilliant new book, America Alone, “We are living through a rare moment: the self-extinction of the civilization which, for good or ill, shaped the age we live in.”

The British, part of the European Union, should have paid heed in 1990 when “The Muslim Manifesto: A Strategy for Survival” was promulgated to create the Council of British Muslims to act as “a Muslim parliament” in a nation that gave us the Magna Carta, detailing the rules of property rights and individual freedoms. These days, the nations with the least amount of freedom are predominately Muslim.

Britain’s Muslim Manifesto made it clear that “Political and cultural subservience goes against their grain” because “at its inception Islam created a political platform from which Muslims were to launch themselves on a global role as founders of great states, empires and a world civilization and culture.”

Why should an article in a leading U.S. newspaper mark the beginning of the end? According to the UK’s Muslim Manifesto, “The fact is that a Muslim woman cannot be a western woman.” The problem for Muslims in Great Britain was that “There are laws on the British Statute Book that are in direct conflict with the laws of Allah.”

“We are Muslims first and last.”

“Jihad is a basic requirement of Islam and living in Britain or having British nationality by birth or naturalization does not absolve the Muslim from his or her duty to participate in jihad: this participation can be active service in armed struggle abroad and/or the provision of material and moral support to those engaged in such struggle anywhere in the world.”

“Islam is our guide in all situations.”

Ultimately this became clear to the non-Muslim citizens of England when on July 7, 2005, born-and-bred Muslim British citizens killed some of them in London’s subways and buses. This year in August it scared a lot of people to learn that British Muslims were planning to destroy ten commercial airliners and kill thousands of travelers.

Assimilation, according to the Manifesto, wasn’t even an option. Why need it be? By the early 1990s, there were already about 1,000 mosques in Great Britain, many of them former Anglican churches that had been abandoned and sold to Muslims.

As is the case of France today, the Manifesto recommended that “The Muslim community may have to define ‘no go’ areas where the exercise of ‘freedom of speech’ against Islam will not be tolerated.”

In the now famous words of Pogo, “We have met the enemy and they are us.” If America, the lone superpower, does not hold out against the march of Islam, it will fall into the Dark Ages of Muslim control, a place where born-and-bred Americans like the fashion designer will determine what American women will wear and other Muslims will impose the Sharia law of Islam upon all of us.

The next time you want to mock the “fundamentalist” Christians, famed for their patriotism, think again.

The next time you shrug when you hear your local school system has banned the playing or singing of Christmas carols, think again.

The next time you are inclined to say or think unkind things about American or Israeli Jews, think again.

The next time your neighborhood, community or city yields to some new Islamic demand to conform to their “religious” rules, think again.

The next time you read demands that something not be published or aired in America because it offends Muslim sensibilities, think again.

The next time anyone tells you that Islam preaches tolerance or peace, think again.

This is how nations and ultimately western civilization will slip-slide into a world no American would ever want for their children and grandchildren.
