We Don’t Need a “Great Victory”; We Need to Save Our Country

We Don’t Need a “Great Victory”; We Need to Save Our Country

October 19th, 2010

Kevin “Coach” Collins, Coach Is Right

The Political Class is our enemy. It wants a “Great day,” but  that’s not what we want. We can’t be satisfied with a “great day.”   “Great days” are the victories the Political Class craves because to  them elections are a series of games – “Sometimes you win sometimes, I  win. Let’s go get a beer now that this is over.” To us this is saving  the very life of our country, the life or death of America. To the  Political Class this is a muscle flexing contest. All of them see us as  “true believer suckers.”

We have to stay focused and make certain we  leave nothing undone. We are fighting the Second American Revolution.  Winning this one is even more important than winning the first one.  Losing the first Revolution, would not have put us in anywhere near the  sorry condition we are in today.

What each of us must do

To win this fight and save our country we have to take a number of steps.

We have to give as much money as we  possibly can to a conservative candidate.  As bad as things are now  we’ll be in worse shape if we fail to rid ourselves of these Marxists.  It will embolden them to more Statism.

Backdoor Amnesty: Deportations Dismissals Up 700 Percent

Backdoor Amnesty: Deportations Dismissals Up 700 Percent

October 18th, 2010

Judicial Watch

A month after the Department of  Homeland Security launched a covert program to dismiss pending  deportations there’s been an increase of more than 700 percent in the number of   cases that have been dropped by the government in one of the nation’s   busiest immigration court systems.

In August Homeland  Security  officials quietly began to systematically dismiss the pending  removal  of illegal immigrants, even when expulsion was virtually  guaranteed or  the aliens had a criminal record. The move, first reported  by Texas’s  largest newspaper, stunned the legal profession and baffled immigration  attorneys who said it was “absolutely fantastic” for their illegal alien clients.

Just one month later 217 cases were dismissed in Houston’s immigration court system, which is among the nation’s busiest.

(Michelle) Obama Violates Election Laws?

(Michelle) Obama Violates Election Laws?

October 15th, 2010

Ben Johnson, Floyd Reports

The male of the species is not the only one who believes he is above the law. It appears Michelle Obama may have violated Illinois state election laws on Thursday by openly campaigning inside a polling place.

The first lady spoke to admirers and posed for pictures after casting a ballot inside Chicago’s Martin Luther King Center on Thursday. According to one of the people she spoke with, 56-year-old electrician Dennis Campbell, “She was telling me how important it was to vote to keep her husband’s agenda going.” A Chicago Sun-Times reporter apparently said this took place inside the center.

Engaging in any political discussion is illegal within 100 feet of any polling place in Illinois – and indeed, in many other states. That is why, for instance, no campaign flyers or literature is allowed within many feet of an election site.

Obama Considering Rule by Executive Order in 2011

Obama Considering Rule by Executive Order in 2011

October 8th, 2010

Ben Johnson, Floyd Reports

This morning, political commentators are paying a great deal of attention to one of the Los Angeles Times’ stories about Barack Obama’s plans for a Republican takeover of Congress. Unfortunately, they are focusing on the wrong one. Most commentators spent the morning quoting the president’s remarks on a black radio program that a GOP-dominated Congress will result in “hand-to-hand combat.” The reality is most of the action will take place behind their backs and over their heads. All indications are, if Obama cannot get his legislative agenda enacted by Congress, he will impose it by decree.

The evidence comes buried elsewhere in today’s L.A. Times in a piece by Peter Nicholas and Christi Parsons under the hum-drum headline, “Obama Reshapes Administration for a Fresh Strategy.” The story makes clear the “fresh strategy” borders on government by executive fiat. It begins, “As President Obama remakes his senior staff, he is also shaping a new approach for the second half of his term: to advance his agenda through executive actions he can take on his own, rather than pushing plans through an increasingly hostile Congress.” This rule by divine right of kings is confirmed by no less an Obama insider than David Axelrod, who said, “It’s fair to say that the next phase is going to be less about legislative action than it is about managing the change that we’ve brought.” The Times states candidly:

So the best arena for Obama to execute his plans may be his own branch of government. That means more executive orders, more use of the bully pulpit, and more deployment of his ample regulatory powers and the wide-ranging rulemaking authority of his Cabinet members.  (Emphases added.)

Commander Obama “would require all communications, including ones over the Internet, to be built so as to enable the U.S. government to intercept and monitor them at any time when the law permits.”

Keep in mind that next year after the midterm elections, it will be Congress determining what the law is.

Witness the birth of self-government in this inspiring portrayal of the Constitution’s genesis, “A More Perfect Union”

If Obama’s lockstep Democrats are still in control next year, Glenn Greenwald continues, “Internet services could legally exist only insofar as there would be no such thing as truly private communications; all must contain a ‘back door’ to enable government officials to eavesdrop.”

Would this still be America?

Obama’s Communist Mentor

Obama’s Communist Mentor

October 6th, 2010

Dr. Paul Kengor, National Review

When you write a book, particularly one that requires several years of research, you tend to encounter a bunch of unexpected information. Sometimes you find things that, if reported, will undoubtedly prompt partisans to demand you explain yourself. For me, this begins that process of explaining, given that one of the major characters in my new book on American Communists, Dupes, is Frank Marshall Davis.

Allegations regarding Davis’s Communism are sure to infuriate the Left because of the influence Davis once had over our president. He was a drinking buddy of Barack Obama’s maternal grandfather, Stanley Dunham, and spent time with young Obama. He turns up in the president’s memoir, Dreams from My Father, shrewdly identified only as “Frank”: “I was intrigued by old Frank, with his books and whiskey breath and the hint of hard-earned knowledge behind the hooded eyes.” Recently, a U.S. Communist-party official confirmed the relationship, bragging in a speech of the Communist Davis’s formative influence over Obama. And yet when the allegations surfaced during the 2008 campaign, they went virtually unreported in the mainstream media.

After an almost four-year-long sojourn in which I tried to ascertain whether Davis was a progressive duped by Communists, or, conversely, a Communist who duped progressives, I determined the latter. No doubt, this conclusion — which means the leader of the free world was strongly influenced by a Marxist — will bring the unholy wrath of liberals. Yet, they should brace themselves for another kind of anger. Once they read what Davis did and wrote, they might redirect their rage. In truth, Davis’s targets were mainly Democrats, and especially a Democratic icon, Harry Truman. What Davis said about Truman was unbelievably outrageous. Worse, he said it because it was the Moscow line.

Panel: Gov’t thwarted worst-case scenario on spill

Panel: Gov’t thwarted worst-case scenario on spill

By DINA CAPPIELLO, Associated Press Writer Dina Cappiello, Associated Press Writer Wed Oct 6, 11:48 am ET

WASHINGTON – The White House blocked efforts by federal scientists to tell the public just how bad the Gulf oil spill could have been.

That finding comes from a panel appointed by President Barack Obama to investigate the worst offshore oil spill in history.

In documents released Wednesday, the national oil spill commission reveals that in late April or early May the White House budget office denied a request from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to make public the worst-case discharge from the blown-out well.

BP estimated the worse scenario to be a leak of 2.5 million gallons per day. The government, meanwhile, was telling the public the well was releasing 210,000 gallons per day – a figure that later grew closer to BP’s figure.

‘Is it Fair to Say Islam is Setting the Rules?’

‘Is it Fair to Say Islam is Setting the Rules?’

Andrew Bostom

Lars Vilks, Lars Hedegaard, and Rabbi Jon Hausman were interviewed yesterday (Monday, 10/5/2010) by Helen Glover of WHJJ 920 AM, Providence, about the sorry state of free speech in the West as we capitulate to Islamic intimidation over the Medieval dictates of Sharia-based “blasphemy” law.

Rabbi Hausman’s matter-of-fact description of the security measures that Mr. Vilk’s brief visit to the Boston area entailed, are particularly chilling.

Lars Vilks is the Swedish artist whose Muhammad sketch triggered both Al-Qaeda death fatwas and a thwarted assassination plan by American convert to Islam, “Jihad Jane”. Lars Hedegaard is a Danish journalist and writer who founded the Danish Free Press Society.
