Video: Obama planning to TAKE AWAY secret ballot in labor elections.

Unions may seem like a boring subject, but it isn’t.  My uncle, Adolph, worked proudly for 39 years on a car assembly line in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  Before there was a union he shared this experience.  When he was first employed at the car plant; he worked extremely long days for 2 weeks.  He then went to pick up his paycheck, but was told, “Sorry, you’re not going to get paid for the 2 weeks you worked!”  Adolph asked why not & was told, “We just wanted to see if you were gonna be a good employee or not.”  My uncle did not get paid & had no recourse but to stay on the job because jobs were scarce.  It was during the Depression Era & he had a wife & 2 children to feed.

Adolph, not one to take things lying down, took action & helped organize a union.  Life got much better & fairer for its assembly line workers & all other employees.

Now, Barack Hussein Obama, if elected, will take away the worker’s right to a secret ballot.  If & when that happens, intimidation will soon follow & the clock will have been turned back to the days when workers were unimportant & easily manipulated.

Under the EFCA, union organizers could browbeat workers into signing the cards, which would then impose the union automatically without a secret-ballot vote.

McCain is referring to a plan supported by labor union leaders. Currently, workers must get a majority of their colleagues to sign an authorization form to ask for union representation — then hold a secret-ballot vote to finalize it.

The change Obama supports would let a union be recognized by the National Labor Relations Board immediately after a majority of workers sign the authorization.

Former Sen. Geo. McGovern’s opposition carries significance because of his support for organized labor throughout his entire career.  He emphasizes that democracy is a higher value than unionism.  In the past, he has lamented the fact that unions appear to have forgotten that.

CNN did a “fact check” on the EFCA & Obama’s support for it . . .

McGovern wrote an op-ed column against it in the Wall Street Journal & cut an ad
